I just want to thank everybody associated with this concept, you guys are doing a very wonderful job. I'm only a bit concerned at the lack of advertising support and sponsorship. I don't see how the programme will last without funding, maybe you guys need to change your marketing strategy, there are lots of 'street wise' marketing communications agencies in Lagos you can contact to help sell the programme to their clients. Red Sky (formerly Tequila), Insight Grey, SO & U saatchi etc should be able to come on board for a project like this. You may pitch MTN, GLO directly, GLO for example has a promotion budget well worth over 1.5 billion naira. Also, you may try and get linked up with Frank Nweke (the information minister), a programme like this is deal for the Heart of Africa project. There are many possibilities but keep the spirit. You guys are doing great.

On the quality side, the programme seems a bit 'women heavy', a balance will be ideal. Try and use male presenters also, and showcase males as well. At some point you may think of re-branding, Nigeria International does not sound savvy enough for a programme like this (my thoughts). Please email your sponsorship fees to me at uchenworah@yahoo.com.

finally, go for syndication with TV stations in the developed countries, you never know they may adopt your weekly programme and from there sponsorship may come. People normally pay me to tell them all these but its my two penny contribution to your lofty project. Best wishes.

Since dakore says nigeria men shd help the ladies...I'm ready to help her. But wait ooo, if man body dey on fire nko? And she dey on-set for 2-3 weeks, waiting I go do?
Then if u look at the lady golf captain's hand, u would notice a arm band having jamaica's flag colour on her wrist...this is another thing we, nigerians, need to educate ourselves on; it's like we r promoting jamaica... this common with the reggae(?) artist, they belive that colour has to to do with reggae, which not but jamaica.
We shd start learning from senegal, ghana and some other african countries. Here in canada for example, if u see a ghana man or senegal man with arm band, the colour of the arm band is always that of their respective countries. U cld watch akon's video clips "belly dancer", u would understand what I'm talking about.

I couldn't agree more with you Uche. I think there needs to be a balance in all aspects of their reporting. I see this NI program as an avenue that has great growth potential which is yet untapped.

NI, how many nigerian newspapers know of your existence? You need to network in your homeland as well. Obj would really love this concept especially since this program focuses more on the progress we've made than our flaws. Uche, I don't think the Information minister would be approachable let alone available. Nigerian public officials are never in circulation and their wards never have access to them. Frank na Ndigbo man, I guess you get some connection there so help them out, if u can. I'm sure you won't lack acknowledgement.

The marketing needs to be taken more vigorously than what we've seen so far. May I also recommend that real Nigerians should be featured as well and not only Nollywood stars.

My 2cents for now

Ms pepeiye which one you dey sef? make you let oga Larry express him love na, abi you dey jealous?. And who tell you say you must dey give woman money, before she go fit fall in love with you? ms Pepeiye your money for hand, back for ground mentality is very very bad. That angel Dakore is definitely not like that.

Anyway for your information that bobo Larry is loaded to the neck,he has 3 fast food restaurants in this city alone, plus a string of other businesses, infact he is even a third term politician in Nija. The bobo is one of the biggest boys in town.So no shaking.Oga Larry dey kampe.

Larry Jr., abeg no mind Ms Pepeiye. Dakore is as sweet, genuine and down-to-earth as she appears on-screen. "Submit your application", and keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks everyone for all your fantastic ideas, advice and suggestions. You'll be amazed how many of these we've tried, or are still working on. In Nigeria, personal contacts and introductions carry much more weight than they should, and we could probably use a few. Particularly as it concerns getting sponsors and advertisers. Kindly email info@nigeriainternational.com, if you think you can help.

We'll definitely make more of an effort to find male presenters. But as for the people we profile and showcase, we'll still tend to prioritise remarkable personalities and stories above the gender of the subject.

Still on the subject of balance though, we'd very much like to do a much broader range of stories across much more of Nigeria (and indeed, the world). But we're hugely constrained by resources. So for a while longer, we'll just chug on doing our best and being extremely grateful for your (mostly) positive and enthusiastic feedback.

That all said, we've been working on some enhancements and making a few changes. We expect to have some exciting news in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, thanks very very much for all your support. It's massively appreciated. And please don't forget to drop us a line at info@nigeriainternational.com, if you could assist.

Cheers,
Your NI production team
