The problem of Keshi is how to determine those going to AFCON. His choices have increased greatly with this friendly. The defence is still suspect, though! Unfortunately, I do not think Obagoal has done enough to gate crash into the team. Nice performance there by Ameobi even though he didn't score.

Unfortunately, I did not watch the match. Therefore, I can not comment on the quality and capability of our team. However, I understand that another team from Argentina also played at about the same time against Saudi Arabia. I find this fascinating because it indicates that nations that are serious with football should be able to have two or more teams that are capable of international engagements. I hope Keshi will bear this in mind after AFCON.

The match was shown on ESPN Deportes. First half was sleep inducing. 2nd half passably good. Very ill-tempered affair. Only about 2 or 3 players in Nigeria side were good enough - the goalkeeper, the guy who got the second goal, and sammy ameobi. Our defense was terrible, midfield non-existent. They cant even string passes together.

It's about time Keshi draws the curtains on this HB experimentation that's taking us nowhere. The team has selected itself.

@Enyi
Are you confusing Argentina with Venezuela here? However, with the existence of Under-17s, Under-19s and Under-21s, each nation may have four national teams..
The England team beaten by Ibrahimovic on Wednesday included a 17-yr old player.

@Big-K,
Wetin be HB experiment, abeg? Abi na 4-5-1?

A strong Argentina side including Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero has been held by Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.

Argentina keeper Sergio Romero was forced to make a string of fine saves to keep the Saudis out on a disappointing night for the South American giants.

Newcastle United defender Fabricio Coloccini was kept busy throughout and had to produce a goalline clearance to stop Frank Rijkaard's side from taking the lead.

Alejandro Sabella brought on Wigan Athletic striker Franco di Santo in the second half for his international debut but the forward failed to make the difference.

Messi nearly stole the win for Argentina in the closing stages, forcing an excellent stop from Saudi keeper Waleed Abdullah after beating three defenders.
