Heartland have recruited Kelechi Emeteole to their backroom staff as the new technical adviser of the Nigerian Premier League (NPL) outfit.
The appointment was confirmed by Naze Millionaires official Cajetan Nkwopara, who explained that the man fondly known as 'Caterpillar' was brought in to plough back his vast experience into the local game.
"As part of the ongoing effort to reposition the team for the upcoming season the management has decided to appoint a 'seasoned hand' coach Kelechi Emeteole as the side new technical adviser," Nkwopara told SuperSport.
"The appointment is with immediate effect," he confirmed.
Emeteole has a rich history that dates back to the 80's when the club was founded under the name Spartans, and again at a later stage after they were renamed Iwuanyanwu Nationale.
He was the man in charge when the side made their only CAF Champions League final back in 2009, losing on away goals to TP Mazembe.
