Writer, journalist and former special adviser on media and publicity to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Olusegun Adeniyi also writes the weekly column, THE VERDICT, which promotes accountability in the public arena.

Between April 2003 and May 2007, he was a member of the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (NEITI) governing board and played an active role in the global EITI. He holds a first degree in international relations from Ife and a master’s in international law
and diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
