So far the pictures are quite ok.The President and his wife {not first lady} appeared good. The ADC too appeared quite excellent.

The President changed the usual outlook of Nigerian President in "agbada".the only known dress by Nigerian leaders/officials.This is a new era.

No he has not. He is a bonafide member of this village. And he is going to give us vital information first. Remember NVS is RA first stopping point to discuss government policies and listen for the president.

WHAT WE NEED IS NOT A WELL-DRESSED PRESIDENT, BUT A COMPETENT, UNCORRUPT, DEDICATED AND MORALLY UPRIGHT PRESIDENT THAT WILL MAKE NIGERIA A SAFER, HEALTHIER, BETTER AND RICHER COUNTRY!!!

EVEN GORILLAS AND APES COULD ALSO BE ELEGANTLY DRESSED UP - LIKE jONATHAN bADLUCK(YOU DON'T NEED A GOOD BRAIN TO DO THAT!!!

ANOTHER WASTAGE OF NIGERIA'S MONEY ON A USELESS JAMBOREE TO SOUTH KOREA!!!

Egon Agidi, with all respect to your opinion, unfortunately, I have to disappoint you because I have nothing good say about Jonathan badluck, ph.D in Baboology, monkeylogy and Zoology. I sincerely hope that you will forgive me for that. But, please, give me the benefits of the doubts and let me explain my position.

The first 2 questions that came to my mind on seeing/reading the heading was:

1. What the hell is a Nigerian president doing at a Nuclear Conference?

2. How does the presidency or jonathan badluck decide which country to visit or international conference to attend?

I am more than convinced (and sorry for my being over confidence about this), that Nigeria does not have a comprehensive, coherent and cohesive foreign policy. We have no idea whatsoever what our interests are and how to go about protecting them. And this explains the reason why Nigeria is not only a failed state, the biggest banana republic in the world, a very sick and doomed country, but is also one of the poorest countries in the world despite the enourmous resources at our disposal. In the name of attracting foreign investments, we have handed practically all sectors of our economy to foreigners including Lebanese whose activities not only cripple our economy, but they as well maltreat and even kill Nigerians at will without any repercussion. I read on the internet yesterday some horrible story about how the Lebanese were so imnfluential in Nigeria to the extent that Abacha even kept billions of dollars of security money in their custody and Obasanjo had to beg them to release this money when he became president. I read about how the Lebanese were paid billions of dollars for projects that were not completed and how they connived with Northern military officers and politicians to dupe Nigeria and Nigerians. . As I am writing now, this robbery and harm to Nigeria's economy are still being perpetuated by the Lebanese. Take for example the Avswani brothers who ran away fropm Nigeria when the EFCC went after them, but later came back to Nigeria when jonathan badluck pleaded on their behalf! Can you imagine that?!

Our foreign policy could be termed as 'FOLLOW-FOLLOW AMERICA/BRITAIN/FRANCE FOREIGN POLICY.' We don't take a serious analysis of the consequence of our position economically, politically, militaryly, security-wise e.t.c. Take for example Nigeria's disgraceful support of Western countries in Ivory Coast, Libya. The West use us as errand boys to defend their dirty and selfish interests in Africa because they know that we have stupid leaders who don't really know what is good for their country.

What you/we need to understand about these Western countries, unlike those corrupt, incompetent, visionless and morally bankrupt bandits parading themselves as our leaders, is that they not only know what they want, but as well plan very well. They just don't invite African leaders like that to international conferences/Summits e.t.c. unless they want to get something from them. jonathan was invited to Seoul, Korea, which is an ally of the United States(the U.S. has a military base there) because they(Korea, U.S., France and Britain) want to lobby stupid jonathan to build Nuclear plants in Nigeria. They are going to convince him and those fools that accompany him that the fastes way for Nigeria to resolve its power problem is by constructing Nuclear plants. They will try to convince him that the explosion and disaster that occured in the Nuclear reactors in Fokosima, Japan was once in a hundred years and could be avoided in Nigeria simply because they have now better technology. They will never tell that ***** that calls himself a president that Nigeria not only has much more gas than oil, but is also safer and more than enough to supply power to the whole of Africa. They will praise jonathan badluck to the heaven: tell him that he is a great president; doing his best to stabilize Nigeria, that Nigeria is a great country and all other bla bla. Please mark my words: there will be some kind of announcement about Nuclear research, co-operation or deals with Nigeria at that summit or in the nearest 3 months. I know practically all the tricks and manipulation that these Western countries use to manipulate developing countries. I am not surprised that jonathan is surrounded by incompetent and visionless advisers like him - afterall, birds of the same feather fly together. However, if I were to be his adviser, I will never support his going to such a meeting. This opportunist has wasted Nigeria's money on some unproductive jamboree.

Furthermore, those pictures quickly reminds of a Russian proverb that goes thus: "Po odeshke vstrechayut, no po umu pravajayut." Translation: "You are met/received/welcomed by your dressing, but escorted(seen off) by your intelligence." What this proverb means in essence is that 'what counts more/most at the end of the day is not how somebody/one gorgeously dresses, but how he reasons, the quality of the decisions taken by him and his ability to resolve concrete problems. I am afraid to say that no matter how well jonathan badluck is dressed, unfortunately, that will not make him a good president or decision maker. As far as I am concerned( I am sure not only me) jonathan has no understanding what he is doing; no concrete economic plans nor foreign policies. He is a big liability to that country and I can not wait for 2015 for us to kick this hat loving opportunist out back to the zoo.

Talking about dressing, it's very unfortunate that all the delegates including Olugbenga Ashiru, a very lousy foreign affairs minister by the way(just look out how he handled the deportation of Nigerians by South Africa telling all Nigerians and the whole world that Nigeria knew all along that most of the South Africans in Nigeria are half-baked and don't have proper documentation. The first question that came to my mind when I read that in the news was: 'so, you knew this all along and had to wait for them to deport a legislator before you took action. So, all along you closed your eyes to the fact that half-baked South Africans without proper documentation were taking the jobs of Nigerians who are better qualified and ripping Nigeria and Nigerians off. And immediately South Africa apologised, they quickly announced that everything was over. Yeye foreign minister!), failed to seize the opportunity to sell Nigeria's culture and tourism. They were all dressed in suits - just like the Koreans, instead of wearing our native/local dresses which would have thrilled millions of Koreans and others watching the conference on T.V. and stimulate their desire to visit Nigeria. You see my brother Agidi, simple things count. These opportunists don't think that dressing is part of diplomacy, commerce, international relations, tourism and cultural propagation and development. It's also worth mentioning that hat wearing is typical of Ijaw culture only - and not Nigeria. For example, are you aware of the fact that And jonathan's wife, Patience(or wetin she dey call herself) looks very nervervous and tense in the picture. She was not relaxed. Being the wife of a man whose parents could not afford to buy shoes for him to wear to school, it's obvious that she's not used to such kind of high profile events.

Colonialism has virtually robbed the Ijaw people of their culture and identity - unlike other parts/tribes in Nigeria. How do you explain te fact that AT LEAST 8 OUT OF 10 Ijaw surnames are English, and at least 9 out of 10 Ijaw people bear English/Christian names?

A GREAT FUTURE AWAITS THE YORUBA NATION AND ITS PEOPLE!!!

WE BELIEVE IN THE COMPETENCE AND VISION OF BOLA TINUBU AND RAUF AREGBESOLA TO LEAD THE YORUBA TO THE PROMISED LAND!!!

IF JONATHAN BADLUCK AND THE EFCC ARE AFRAID OF ARRESTING IBRAHIM BABANGIDA FOR THE COLD MURDER OF DELE GIWA, A NIGERIAN JOURNALIST, AND EMBEZZLEMENT OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF NIGERIA'S OIL MONEY, SHOULD WE ALL FOLD OUR HANDS OR DEMAND FOR JUSTICE NOW?!

Nigeria To Provide More Incentives For Investors - President Jonathan

QUOTE:
Nigeria is reviewing the incentives currently being granted to investors, in order to encourage international companies willing to invest in the country.

Speaking to a delegation from Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea, during a courtesy call on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said he has instructed the Ministry of Trade and Investments to review trade incentives for investors willing to come to Nigeria.

He said, 'we are willing to support you to establish industries in Nigeria, and I have instructed the Ministry of Trade and Investment to review the incentives available for investors coming to the country', adding that the Administration was determined to create more jobs for teeming Nigerian youth.

President Jonathan stated that Government was diligently implementing the local content law in order to build the capacities of Nigerians, strengthen the industrial base, and provide jobs.

The President expressed appreciation to Samsung for their 'significant' contributions to the development of country's economy, and requested the company to consider increasing the number of Nigerians being trained, as well as the duration of the training.

Earlier, Mr. In Sik Roh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Heavy Industries, had expressed appreciation for the privilege to construct the Bonga Oil platform, adding that they were going to commence the training of 20 Nigerians next month.

At a separate audience, President Jonathan told Daewoo Engineering and Construction Company that Nigeria's gas infrastructure must be upgraded in order to meet the urgent power needs for speedy industrialization of the country.

He said, 'we have abundant gas, but we need to evacuate it to the power stations, through a robust development of our gas infrastructure', adding that bankable packages are being developed to attract international funding.

The President welcomed Daewoo's proposal to fund infrastructural development in Nigeria, at agreeable terms and assured the company of Government support.

Speaking earlier, Daewoo's president and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jong-Uk Seo said the company had been operating in Nigeria since 1978, and was prepared to fund infrastructural development at agreeable terms to give back to the community and to show confidence in Nigeria's future.

President Jonathan also granted audience to a delegation of Hyundai Heavy Industries, led by Mr. I. S. Chun, Senior Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer; and a delegation of JD International, led by Mr. David Lee, President/Chief Executive Officer.

WE ARE FAST-TRACKING POWER MASTERPLAN - PRESIDENT JONATHAN

QUOTE:
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has said the Administration was fast-tracking the Power Master-Plan, in order to meet the targets of power availability.

The President was speaking to a delegation of the Korean Electricity Power Company, KEPCO, in Seoul, Monday.

'We have noticed that things are not moving as fast as we would like, so we are fast-tracking the process', he said.

He acknowledged that changing from exclusive monopoly to a liberalized power production and supply was not easy, but the challenges were being sorted out, adding that a new tariff had been approved, to encourage investors.

President Jonathan assured KEPCO that the necessary mechanism was already in place to enable them invest in the Nigerian power sector.

Earlier, KEPCO president/chief Executive officer, Mr. Joong-Kyum Kim, had said his company desired to strengthen their investment in the Nigerian power sector, adding that they had a robust partnership with Nigeria's Sahara Oil. He said KEPCO had the experience and capacity to participate actively in the development of any facet of Nigeria's power mix.

During another audience, President Jonathan welcomed the proposal by Shinsung Solar Energy to establish a plant to manufacture solar panels in Nigeria, especially because solar power has the capacity to supply power to the most remote parts of the country, at little or no maintenance cost.

He said Government was ready to provide incentives to companies like Shinsung, adding that all facets of the national economy will benefit from solar power.

The chairman of Shinsung Solar Energy and leader of the delegation, Mr. Lee Wan Keun, said his company was already working to provide power to the telecommunications industry in Nigeria, and this could be extended to all facets of Nigerian life, freeing conventional power supply for industrial use.
