Highly placed sources have just informed NVS that Raymond Dokpesi (IBB's campaign
manager) has been arrested in Abuja in connection with the Independece day Bomb Blast.
According to sources, Dokpesi's number was the last to be dialled by the arrested suspects.
NVS has also learnt that President Goodluck Jonathan has named a new National Security Adviser (NSA). General Andrew Owoye Azasi has been appointed to replace General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, who resigned his appointment to contest in the 2011 presidential race.
A statement by the President's Spokesman, Ima Niboro, in Abuja, said the new NSA joined the Jonathan administration from a rich and illustrious career in the military. "Commissioned into the army as a military intelligence officer, he rose to the position of Director of Military Intelligence [DMI]. He was thereafter appointed as General Officer Commanding 1 Infantry Division, from where he was further appointed as Chief of Army Staff. Gen. Azazi rose to become the Chief of Defence Staff and retired meritoriously on the 28 of August, 2008," the statement by Niboro said
