Transform Nigeria Movement is thanking everyone who has volunteered to participate in the rehabilitation of the Ipaja Road, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos scheduled for 30 October, 2010.

We are happy to let you know that following our representations to the Lagos State Government and Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA, we have been informed in a telephone conversation that the work will no longer be necessary as the Sate government has woken up to its responsibility.

The necessary repair has now been done on the long abandoned road and this gives us a walkover victory in our quest to make positive impacts in the society.

We would also like to inform you that this is just the beginning of our contributions as we would be channeling our time and energy on other road projects in the near future.

In the meantime, we are working to set up charity shops in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano and some other major cities as soon as possible with your collaboration.

We would also be flagging off our voluntary work in the public Primary and secondary schools soonest.

How Far Have We Gone?

The organization has been formally registered by Corporate Affairs Commission as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) with the name Transform Nigeria Citizen Initiative – TNCI which is a major step in advancing our cause. We have also been registered in the US as Transform Nigeria Citizens Initiative – United States, while we are also weighing the benefits of making similar registration in Europe.

Out of the belief in our movement, some members have donated office spaces for our use in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Enugu. These offices are yet to be furnished and we would need your voluntary efforts in doing so. A temporary location has also been donated to flag off our Charity shop in Lagos.

We would be having our inaugural live meeting on 20 November, 2010. The meeting is very important as it would mark the take off of some of our projects and the future of the organization which is the future of Nigeria.

You are all encouraged to participate as your contributions and opinions would be highly appreciated.

Details of the meeting will be communicated soon.
