Diana Ross captured what seem to be an age long and generally accepted notion that women prefer muscular, macho men in her song "I want muscles"
There is no denying the fact that musclar men appeal to women generally even if it is only an abstract appeal.
Yet masculinity and sex appeal I believe isnt just for guys with muscles. That is probably why a lot of women end up with all types of men from pretty boyish type men, tall slim men to short, stocky, flabby men. That may also explains why affluent men are quite a catch, no matter what they look like too.
So, what is it for you? Muscular men or not and why?

I did not see anywhere Valteena stated the kind of men she preferred. She wanna know what it is for other babes without telling what it is for her. Valteena, I guess you should start with the woman in the mirror. WHAT IS IT FOR HER!!
Most men and women take this fantasy way too deep into adulthood and end up becoming single for a long time. A junior colleague and I had this discussion a while ago. She's in her mid-thirties, tall and very pretty, perhaps the prettiest at my job. She confessed that she'd been attracted to the high school, jock, athletic, tall, pretty face, handsome kind of guys only to find out that most of these guys are too shallow when it comes to real relationships (I guess that meant they all just liked her for the beds 'cos of her 'phoniness'). Bottomline she got married to a 5'5" (she's about 5'9") almost bald non-athletic looking guy a couple of years ago. Fantasy and reality must be sworn enemies. Hey but there is nothing wrong with dreaming.

Ha ha unregistre you wan know my preference en?. Okay o I go tell. Me I'm not fussy whether they're muscular or not as such, so long as they are dark, tall, slim, look fit and toned. I mean well proportioned and look good in suit.
Infact I draw the line on men that are super pumped up with muscles like Arnie lol

Ajanlekoko you're right about it being a fantasy to an extent. It is a widely held view that women since the dawn of time have been programmed with very specific mate-seeking instructions buried deep in our DNA. We are hot-wired to keep our eyes peeled for strong he-hunks with broad shoulders and rippling biceps.
But we also are realistic enough to know that macho template alone is not enough, that there are other things that make a guy appealing.
My point ? sometimes, he hunks provides women with fleeting eye candy but would not meet their long-term mate standards and that's the reason why most prefer to look for more than just brawn and a chiselled jaw.
Btw this is no different from the way men have been encrypted to seek out big breasted women with child bearing hips if you ask me.

Shinny, it's an evolutionary concept. Men have a natural instinct to reproduce and breasts and wide hips(curves) are seen as symbols of fertility and childbirth. However this is an unconscious thought.
Poll have been done thousands of times and it has been found that, curves to a male subconscious, coincide with a woman's ability to conceive children. A woman with wider hips and bigger breasts (to a male subconscious), would be more capable in ways of child bearing and breast feeding than say, a super slim streamlined woman with a smaller chest.
Of course there are exceptions to this like any thing else in life. Even for those who say they like thin non busty women and go out with them, the busty ones still turn them on.

If a man is too muscular...Like Mr Universe type mass... he's a turn off.
I have very negative associations with it.
Yet I am an avid exerciser.
Whilst in Nigeria, they reminded me of men who did menial work.
Here they remind me of Gay men, and also men who have spent a long time in jail.
I absolutely love strong, fit men though.
Since I am of average height and light complexioned, I always hoped to marry a tall, dark, fit and good looking man(not necessarily an Apollo) for my children's sake. My prayers were a different issue altogether though: I prayed for a Godly man that would respect and love me. I know God heard my prayers.
Muscles? Mba... muscles don't trip me.
Later o.
