This is a career determining moment in my son's life and I am desperate that he makes the right decisions so your input will be greatly appreciated. My husband is a lawyer in the Maryland/ DC area and is good at what he does.My son graduated college and was accepted into various law schools in the nation including Howard university law school. Georgetown law school was his first choice but unfortunately,he didn't get the very high LSAT and GPA required for such a prestigious school but he got into 4 other law schools. His father and I are desperate that he performs excellently well in law school so that he has a chance to achieve his career goal of working on Capitol Hill where he has interned as a college student. Now comes the dilemma He wants to go to New York law school, one of the schools he gained admission to but we want him at Howard ,close to home so he could be under the direction of his father and his colleagues with a higher chance of performing excellently well. His greatest disdain for Howard is the label of "black school" and he has protested vehemently. The generous scholarship he obtained from Howard is not even enough to persuade him and we are at our wits end Our concern is more about coming out tops with his father's guidance and getting a great offer and not the lower fees. If you were in my position, what will you do?
