Default Wedding event information needed in Abuja

    dear villagers,

my niece is getting married soon in Abuja. we urgently need information on where to buy a wedding gown, wedding cake, fresh flower for bouquet and where to rent a small hall or any clean and classy resturant to hold the reception and they can provide us also catering service like good quality food and nice decoration for the party.

this will be a very small and private wedding but high class and beautiful event.

Please give me phone numbers and address in Abuja for where we can get the things we need for this wedding.

thanks villagers for your attention will be highly appreciated.

What you need is an event/wedding planner...a total package.

    How deep is your pocket?

There's a company i know that might point you in the right direction....

They are into photography and might be a good link...based in Abuja

    RhemDy Nigeria Ltd...+234 (0)8069537684

or if you want to import......from Lagos.

How many weeks do you have?

The wedding will be in the 2nd week of June. it is a sort of destination wedding. the couple are both living abroad but like to marry in Abuja for some reasons.

they want something classy but small and private. are the Nigerian wedding planners reliable? because this couple don't have time for any nonsense or disappointments. they want the best service, on time and reliable. it is a high profile couple that are wedding but very small and private event.
best quality is very important for this wedding.

Most Nigerian wedding planners dont have time for nonsense either. They are very good at what they do...

I find it odd that the bride is yet to buy her wedding gown.

If a destination wedding, they should call the hotel of destination to make arrangement for the very private do and give them details of what they want done. It's what a travel agency/agent would have even done for them.

In this case no need for a wedding planner.

Most weddings and even destination weddings i know of are planned 1yr ahead and in some instance 6months. No one does last minute wedding gown shopping.

I was going to make inquiries on your behalf but could see there's no need for that as you dont have real faith in our people.

I wish you the best .

    Cheers

madam, it is best for you to shut up than make statements and assumptions that are silly and very childish.

you can't know everything and every person does not think or act like you do.

    thanks.

Thanks for the gratuitous insult.....you asked and i tried to educate as am planning a wedding for one of my nieces too and not in Abuja.

You dont just pick a wedding gown for a classy wedding off the shelf, the bride no matter how small needs to go for fitting and be sure she likes it...so if outside Nigeria would have bought something........

Enjoy the rest of your day.

    Cheers

when you real and geninue in helping people, you don't start by fault find or making any silly assumptions. you should know that every circumstances is different and unique.
for your knowledge it is not every bride that has sentimental attachments to a wedding dress or the details so much involving wedding. this couple here only wants a nice, simple and classy wedding with the best quality service in Abuja, and a reception catering to a small number of guests from 10 to 20 people maximum.
most couple are happy to do a Las Vegas style or Niagara falls style destination weddings without removing class or style from it and at the same being legally married as a man and wife.

    This is a funny thread
A bride is flying down for a wedding in Abuja ,her own wedding and someone is on the Internet looking for a gown
    Area u the bride?
Why can't this bride get her own wedding gown wherever she is
Even if her own abroad is panya
I am sure they sell wedding gowns there

Secondly, what type of classy wedding is this such that in May a reception venue and caterers are still being sought for a June wedding
    in Abuja of all places
    Are you people serious?
People book receptions venues 6-9months ahead of time
Even if the bride carried belle and it is about to drop, pregnancy lasts 9 months+ what were they waiting for?
There is nothing classy about this,I call it tacky and shabby
Sure say na girl wan marry,no be una dey invite am home to marry her off to a stranger
    Just asking o

Or are we dealing with one of those Euopean visa, fast food ,wait and take weddings
    Hmm
That is what this sounds like
The man don make arrangement to land naija and a " classy wedding is being planned"

My advice, forget about wedding planner, you don't need one
Let them forward match to a registry and marry dia,set up canopy in some place and eat jollof rice and call it a day
    What is the rush?
Abi one of them dey prepare to go to jail or they are our rushing lest one person changes their mind

This is the weirdest palava ,upon that ,the poster is running their mouth when someone is trying to be of help

    Laugh wan kill me die!!

Sounds like the type of classy shot gun wedding we do when there is already a bun in the oven.

I am not passing judgement ooo! At all, at all before you fire insult my way...just sayin' sha

Anywho, tell them just to wait nine months...

...for them to book correct venue and wedding planner

and who knows, there may/may not be a surprise guest that can double as a cute ring bearer

may God bless you madam. thanks very much for all the info.

i am sorry for the earlier exchange of words with you. cause you know everyone's style is different.

    anwulika,

the bride is not pregnant and it is not a short gun wedding. they have decided to do this wedding since december last year. but logistics or problem with being at the same place is big issue for this couple.
they are both from naija but working and based in different continents.

    -

    Funny Villagers.

Elements of the craziness of yore still remain..

In the past, this thread would have gone haywire.

By the time denker arrives to drop a line, and then uglyman and Abraxas,

And not to mention that loudmouth who calls himself Suspicious, all hell would brake lose.
