I don copy and paste ya response, bam! And I add some disclaimer for you also sef!
N.A.R., you posted a message for me on your own page. You are supposed to post a message for a user at the user's profile page, not on your own visitor's page (that's meant for we your visitors who are trying to reach you).
You know say nah biro and pencil I sabi not computa! But as I noted, open up a thread in the NVS matters section and see what the response will be. I did not check to see if you did that already. Also right now, I am not sure if a few others aside from Big-K are administrators, I think there are a few others even side from SLB.
I agree with you. I just felt it was unfair to discuss issues related to Nigeria without relating our posts to events on ground. That was my grouse in that thread. Everybody knows what a typical DPOs office looks like in Nigeria. To now make it look like because the journalist didnt do his/her job well, discussions on this heinuos crime should wait sounds uncharitable to me
Thanks Taiwo for coming around.
I get where you're coming from. My only problem is this: If we accept as some say, that"Corruption in Nigeria is thoroughly systemic, and change can only come gradually, and any leader that will make any significant contribution to incremental development in Nigeria will have to cooperate with the giant crooks (at least initially)" in order to justify "Saint" Nuhu Ribadu's darliance with those who himself told his army of ignorant youths was/is too corrupt; why do we condemn Yar'Adua who Ribadu and El Rufai joined forces with James Ibori to install?
What makes Yar'Adua/Ibori; Chris Uba/Chris Ngige or Lamidi Adedibu/Rasheed Ladoja bad? Why crucify Ken Nnanamai for associating with IBB? Is it wrong for Ken to ascend to power thro IBB while right for Ribadu to climb on Tinubu's back?
I like consistency...
Unfortunately I missed most of your edited posts being off line. But I can only imagine. I went through the same thing some 2 years ago with the anti-BA gang. It was not funny. So, relax broda.......we have been down this road before......it will soon pass. Good job.:rose:
Iye, you said: “Are you saying he shouldn't have prayed for them.”
Football is an idol.
In Luke 14:26-33, Jesus says “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple … whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” In Matthew 10:37, Jesus says “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.”
Jesus is saying, our passion must be for Him alone.
Am thinking anything can be an idol if we get obsessed with it…..like when people break their TV becos a team lost…but if its just a job….
So that mean our everyday job and things we do like exercise has become an idol…..truly am lost in you explanation.
However, since the Saviour has come, God no more requires anyone to keep the Symbolic Laws of the Torah. Anyone who desires to keep them (Sabbaths, Kosha, hygienic/health laws, etc.) may do so but make it clear that these things are not Salvation but symbols communicating spiritual realities. Colossians 2:16-17 "So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ."
Really, the term "Messianic" is the same as "Christian" (i.e., one who follows Yah'Shua the MeshiYah).
Jews who follow Jesus the Messiah (just like the early Christians who were mostly Jews) are rightly called "Messianic Jews" (i.e., followers of the MeshiYah).
These days, there are some Gentile Christians who like to be identified as "Messianic Christians". They call themselves "Messianic Christians" because they observe the Jewish Symbolic Laws in the books of Moses.
However, since the Saviour has come, God no more requires anyone to keep the Symbolic Laws of the Torah. ...
So the answer to my question is no. Thanks!
Are you Messianic?
