A continuation of Ritualcracy -a donkey handfeeding a monkey

The elections petition tribunal sitting in Ogun State, has ruled in favor of incumbent governor, Gbenga Daniel, whose controversial election of April 2007 had led the court of appeal to order a retrial. The ruling today may be the beginning of another bitter appeal by Chief Ibikunle Amosun of the ANPP.

The tribunal judgment today was not a surprise to many who knew all along that electoral justice can be painful and long but usually favors the highest bidder, or the incumbent.

Regardless of today's outcome, Gbenga Daniel's victory party won't last for too long as he faces a fractured party, a divided state assembly and a disillusioned electorate that has been at the receiving end of his dictatorial and corruption-ridden governance style.

Last June, he was at the centre of a scandal in which members of the House of Assembly alleged that he had forced them to take a blood oath.

I think this is a nice picture

It humanizes public office holders... it is a sort of human angle news reporting, it is quite nice.

It does look like father and son, in lighter moments, does it not?

Look more like pounded yam, mala-elubo? tuwo-sinkafa or eba? something which you have to swallow, without chewing?

The picture is bone chilling

My impression is that OBJ is initiating Daniel into a higher level of dark power. Daniel is wearing a horrified look. While OBJ is obviously mocking Daniel.
