    Question Kirk Franklin is Gay ?










    "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." [1Tim. 4:1]

    A supposed Christian minister and husband and father of children in pink lipstick and pink eyeshadow,a beauty mark above his upper lip against a pink background apparently singing praises.
    To which God I ask?
    A song he dedicates to depression and unemployment
    Somebody help me explain this one.
    Is Kirk Franklin still in the faith?
    Even so come Lord Jesus

    In New Book KIRK FRANKLIN Talks About: Why People Thought He Was Gay His Brush With Death Being Abandoned As A Child

    Though Kirk Franklin has won a huge following with his inspiring, contemporary gospel sound today, he remembers going through a lot as a young man growing up and playing music in church.

    In his revealing autobiography, Church Boy: My Music & My Life (Word Publishing, $12.99), written with Jim Nelson Black, he discusses why people thought he was gay growing up in church, his brush with death after a 1996 accident on stage and recalls how he was abandoned as a child.

    He remembers being teased taunted and called gay because he loved going to church with his great aunt on "Sundays, Wednesdays and lots of other days."

    He writes, "I didn't talk about my church activities very much at school, but some of the kids found out about them and started teasing me. They called me `Church Boy.'"

    He continues, "I didn't mind so much when they called me `Church Boy.' But they also called me `Mama's Boy' and started making jokes that I was gay.

    He writes, "I think the main reason people started saying I was gay was that I had the reputation of being `Church Boy.' A lot of other kids had grown up in the church like I had, but they still acted as if church kids were weird. Christian kids didn't fight back; they would turn the other cheek or run away from a fight. At least, that's what the other kids said. On top of that, I'd been raised by an old woman, and I wasn't tough and hard like most of the other guys in my school."


    Franklin explains, "I had always been more sensitive than a lot of those people. I was into music. I was writing songs and composing lyrics, and for kids in my neighborhood that meant that I was probably gay. Where I come from, young men were supposed to be hard. They were supposed to be tough, macho, and cool. But I wasn't like that."

    Franklin, who was not into sports like other guys his age, notes, "I didn't know how to be like that. And by that time, I had already stopped growing. I'm just under five-feet-five now, and I've been this height ever since I was fourteen years old. So that was another emotional adjustment I had to make. Everybody I knew kept on growing ..."

    Franklin also notes, "Later I realized that another reason the rumor that I was gay caught on so fast was because I had been hanging out with a guy who people said was gay. He was older than I was and ran around with some friends of mine even before I met him ... He looked like he could be gay--he was effeminate--but I didn't realize he really might be. Maybe it was only natural that, when kids from school saw me hanging out with this guy, they just assumed I was gay too."

    Franklin notes, "I wasn't gay, but running from the image got me even more involved with girls."


    He also explains, "It's (homosexuality) a problem today in gospel music--a major concern--and everybody knows it. Part of the troublemany artists have in gaining the acceptance of the church is that a lot of people just assume we're promiscuous and probably homosexual. We're not, but it's out there."

    Franklin, who was a gospel musical child prodigy, also observes in Church Boy, "Homosexuality seems to be very common in the arts crowd, and I don't know why that should be. It seems that more than half the young people involved in dance, music, and the theater are openly gay. In fact, wherever people are talented and expressive there seems to be a tendency toward homosexuality, and the gospel music scene has not been exempt from that."

    Franklin now openly admits to the fact that he became sexually active with girls as a youth and even wound up a father at age 18. "I don't mind being honest about this, because I believe that deliverance comes from being transparent and that a lot of times deliverance means resting in your testimony. I want people to know they can have victory over temptation. I admit I've made mistakes in the past, but God has given me a new start and a clean slate."

    He urges young people to avoid premarital sex. "Today, I encourage young people to make a promise before God and their peers to stay away from sexual sin. It can be very tempting, and it can look exciting, but you'll be sorry if you give in to it. Young people need to know that the enemy is a liar who wants to break their hearts and destroy their lives."

    In Church Boy, Franklin also recalls his brush with death when he fell backstage in a pit in a Memphis concert hall.

    "I was covered with blood, not exactly conscious but not exactly unconscious either," he says. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. "I was on life support for awhile. For the next three and a half hours, I'm told, I was in and out of consciousness. I didn't have any broken bones, the doctors said, but there was bleeding inside my skull, and they were concerned that I might have additional, even more serious, internal injuries."

    He says he is grateful to the prayers that pulled him through. "I have no doubt that Jesus took my hand and walked me through the fire. The devil wanted to stop me, to break me, to kill me. But he was out of his league: I was in God's hands from the start. And if there was ever any doubt about that, then all doubts were erased that night as God's people began to pray for me."

    Franklin also reaches back and recalls his painful childhood. He was adopted by his grandmother's sister, Gertrude Franklin.

    "When my grandmother died, my birth mother was only about fifteen years old, and she was growing up to be pretty wild. Gertrude Franklin was my grandmother's sister and she felt an obligation to give her niece ... a place to stay; so she brought her over to live with her for awhile ..."

    He reveals in the book that his great aunt Gertrude told his birth mother: "If you're not going to take care of that baby, then give him to me. I'll adopt him and raise him right."

    He says his great aunt and her husband exposed him to music and the next thing he knew he was taking piano lessons. "Most of the time she could barely afford to pay the light bill, so to raise the extra money for piano lessons she had to go out and gather up aluminum cans along the roadside ... Then we'd take them down to the recycling center and sell them for cash."

    He thanks his great aunt for being there and raising him in the word of God. "Talk about `Touched by an Angel' I have been! I believe Gertrude Franklin was put here on this earth for a few years to try to pour some stuff into my soul, to keep me out of prison, out of gangs, out of drugs. And I thank God for that."

    Franklin, who is currently on a sizzling tour which ends in April, stresses why he wrote Church Boy.

    "This book is just a piece of my story because there are still pages to fill, mistakes to make and lessons to learn. Most of all I want this to be a book about how faith still moves mountains. It's about how God defeats all the negative stuff and gives people hope. This is a book about possibilities and how -- with perseverance and determination -- we really are conquerors."

    He notes, "I know that without a doubt, that God prepares the way for His messengers. And when I see how He has used the hurts and losses and pain of my past to shape the voice and message of my music, I'm truly humbled."

    I remember the accident on stage many years ago in the 90's and then the book around the same time.
    A few years later he confessed to porn addiction and how he had battled with it for a while and made the Christian talk show circles praising God for delivering him.
    Could it be gay porn now that the thing wey we see for pot slimy pass okro soup
    The man may indeed be gay and has been living a double life all this while and is finally coming out
    Hmm
