The Police College Shame

It is difficult to see the moral compass against which the present Federal Government can stand to initiate action against those culpable in the systematic, progressive decay of the police training institutions particularly Ikeja which we had the benefit to see on television. If things were normal (what a paradox?), if things were normal there would never have been any question as to the poor state of the police college. For the sake of argument however, if things were normal a responsible authority would commence a massive and comprehensive wholesale reconstruction and rejuvenation of the various police training institutions and also vigorously go after the culprits who have stolen funds meant for the running of those institutions over the years. To start with, every Inspector General of Police from as far back as when it can be reasonably established that the rot set in should be arrested and prosecuted unless they can show that during their tenure funds meant for the running and maintenance of the institutions were duly applied for the purpose.
