There are certain documents that should never be edited. The Declaration of Independence, for instance, or the words on a marriage license. And it would be confusing and frustrating if your rental agreement changed or the department of transportation was constantly editing the speed limit for your road.

There is no hate or fear in Love. Love is not leaning but lending support, as it stands together "with" others, not against. If God IS Love as reported numerously throughout the Old and New Testaments, and other "religious texts", then "Loving-Kindness" is proven by our own "Empathy" and "Compassion" for "others", along with our own freely reciprocated nurture and support of each other, for GOOD reason.

Whatever we may think about the story of Gideon as told in the "Old" Testament (see Judges, Chapters 6,7 and 8), we are wise to consider the lessons of lives well lived, as told in what some term "Holy Scripture" - that is, in "Religious Texts" which give us a "warts and all" account of world "History" (which is "Her story" too).
No matter from which people we have sprung, we rise as nations and as "one-world citizens"

I have been encouraged to see reports of the Oslo "ring of peace" around the Norwegian capital's synagogue, but wonder if this support would be harder to express in the countries which happen to be Muslim (or even part Muslim) from whence many have come, to (possibly) get away from all the hypocrisy and double-dealing they see "there".
