It hurts when it's close...i lost a very dear friend within the last 96hrs...i was numbed with Shock when i received word that one of my friends and Confidant had passed on Thursday Morning in Nigeria...our other older friend had broken the news to me, and i could hear the pain in her voice...we could feel each other's pain...i was dumbfounded and told my colleagues who immediately shut down all my calls and rescheduled my appointments...i thought i could just stay in my office and distract myself with something else...nah,that wasn't happening....i could not drive and had to be driven home by some of my colleagues.(God Bless Them)...they sure are a caring lot.
He had died on his way to Hospital of Heart Attack/Failure...here was a man who had the previous day stayed up till midnight watching Football...his wife was startled by the noise coming from his throat at about 3am....he never made it to Hospital.
Mr O was a very kind, humble and good man, Husband to his wife of many yrs, good and caring father to all his Children and trustworthy friend. He did all within his power to give his Children the best Education ....he had married young and started raising children early...no adversity could hold him down. He was a couple of years older than me...but the way and manner we carry on...will leave any observer thinking that am older than him...he listens and does not Bull-S.h.i.t you....he goes to great length for his friends. Himself and his wife are always one of the 1st(apart from family) each year to call from Nigeria at 12midnight to wish me Happy Birthday and pray for me. They are great Encouragers.
Mrs O is a beautiful woman...so caring and understanding...i don't have the right words to say to her right now other than God knows best and that it did not catch God unawares...she's hurting badly right now...and only the Holy Spirit can Minister to her.
Am still short of words, he's too young to die...but resign to the fact that there's nothing one can do about death...there's always an excuse.
If God had revealed to us..we would have negotiated...but he choose to hide the time and place and how from us all.
Romans 14 verse 8...For whether we live, we live unto the Lord: and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
May the Soul of Mr O rest in perfect peace,Even as they lay his Body to Rest this coming weekend...and i pray the Good Lord to comfort His Wife, Children and extended family members.

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
The joys I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Savior shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
May I thy consolation share,
Till, from Mount Pisgah’s lofty height,
I view my home and take my flight.
This robe of flesh I’ll drop, and rise
To seize the everlasting prize,
And shout, while passing through the air,
“Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer!”![]()
