At 3:11 this language sounds awfully like Yoruba to me. I am positive the arm movements I have seen Yoruba women do.

It is Yoruba - Odyssey tried their best but just couldn't get it right. Lamont Dozier released the original version back in 1977. Check it out on youtube. Orlando Julius Ekemode collaborated on Lamont Dozier's track. It is a masterpiece.

    Yes, it is Yoruba.
It was a popular song back in the day.

    Rough Translation:
Kawa o ma ranti - Let us remember
Iranti ile O - Remember home
Ishadale baba awa -The land of our forebearer

Song still relevant and beautiful till today

I have listened to it...I actually heard some "ofo" (incantations) towards the end. It is ishadale, not asha ibile.

Lamont Dozier worked with Orlando Julius Ekemode on the song.

Does anyone know of a Yoruba play where Eda was summoned by Olodumare? Eda tried to find someone who would accompany him but the only person he could find was iwa buruku...does anyone remember the title of the play and it's writer?
