| Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” Operation “Throw My Shoe at Nigerian Looters” ByEmmanuel Franklyne Ogbunwezeh* The Nigerian socio-political space is now a socio-pathological “Absurdistan”; an iniquitous amphitheatre, dedicated to the atrocious eroticization of political stupidity. This arena has degenerated into an essential arena where hopeless ignorance meets primeval greed. The leadership is not only intellectually challenged, irredeemably myopic and visionless, but convokes a conglomerate of petty egoisms, whose sole vocation in life remains the congenital consultation of primitive greed and the celebration of fraudulence in its most atavistic forms. It has matriculated into a realm of infernal iniquity and political simony, where the ability to consult or advertise superlative impunity in celebrating the most atrocious of political brigandage, is the only ad... | Re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” By Emmanuel Frankl With this article, I am inaugurating a mass movement “Operation Throw my shoe at a looter”. This is a movement of Nigerians who are angry at what the politicians have made of Nigeria. We would pledge and dedicate ourselves to meeting Nigerian public officials of whatever configuration, and known looters of our treasury, who come to Europe or America for any public or private engagement whatsoever, with our shoes.
...count me in. I love your piece. Masterful, indeed! |

| re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” start by throwing shoes at the Nigerian sitting next to you...
For me, I will tell you that every Nigerian, including the article writer
are what can be termed "failed Nigerians" along side their failed state of
Nigeria.
It is unacceptable in modern standards that a population can simply play the
role of gullible bystanders for 48 years while right before their eyes their
common wealth and the livelihood of their future generations are being
manhandled and squandered in the name of corruption.
I will no longer accept any such articles blaming the problems of Nigeria on leadership, it is inept, stupid and totally irresponsible to suggest
leadership as Nigeria's bane. The blame 100% squarely rests on the doorstep
of Nigeria's 140 million fools. People so scared to act that they rather sit tight and watch the destruction of their nation right before their eyes, all because of fear. Fear of getting injured, fear of dying even if some survive that fear that will help to change the school of thought of the corrupt
cabal in existence for 4 decades.
I was in Thailand where ONLY 100,000 citizens rioted for months disrupting
government business and finally forcing the government to resign. The
citizens got what they wanted but in Nigeria the government does. WHY?
I am sorry to say all these rubbish "blame leadership" articles are boring
and goes to show the undeveloped mindset of Nigerians!

How true and sad Eire words are.Yes before we start blaming leadership, where are we?UK,America,Canada the list goes on and to buttress Eire point, here in UK the last time my passport came for renewal,l ask around and believe it or not,l was inform to bring Ł200 and it will be sorted by someone in the embassy,l was shocked that the naija mentality follows us come UK,anyway as point of principle, refused and went there in person, guess what?while waiting in queue, this guy out of nowhere jumped the queue((as they say in my language`Ori Mi Ti Gbona`) and kicked off a fuss thinking fellow Nigerian who have been waiting patiently like me will support,do they heck,in fact one remarked in yoruba that`When they have stayed too long in UK,they think they are oyinbo`At this point,l was redder than oyinbo and the embassy staff intervene and advise the guy to go back as this man is not going to back down,(this was before him, embassy official telling me if l don`t calm down,he will call the police(yes official of the embassy want`s to call the police to arrest me in what is basically Nigerian soil,l had to laugh and remind him that British police cannot enter this building and arrest me,you should see the look on his face)
So yes let`s look inside before castigating so called leader,a country deserves the leadership it get`s.

| re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” The oft spoken docility of "Nigerians" is premised on a very shaky assumption: that, there is any substantial number of people known as "Nigerians". "Nigeria" for all practical purposes does not exist; it follows that there are no "Nigerians". Hence inhabitants of the "geographical space", "Nigeria" see her as a prey -- a semi-concsious prey. Many of those who do not have their teeth on the prey simply envy those who do and are bitting off chunks of the still alive prey. Very many Nigerians (a conservative estimate) would rather wait, struggle, and murder for the chance to feed off and kill that prey than do anything to save and revive her.
We must first build / create a nation before we talk of citizens, before we talk of providing and caring for them. Surely before the citizens can protect and uphold the nation's honour, promise and potential. We, for now, just have this big, weak, fleshy, healthy looking game.

The "Looters" will gather the shoes and sell them in the market square - they have no conscience.
Don't even stone them with "pure water", they will drink it as well.
Looters need to be re-oriented and sent to school of had knocks - prisons,

| re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” Okay,Emmanuel Franklyne Ogbunwezeh, take you up on your offer not only to throw shoes BUT how about these(we villagers moan and moan about Nigeria)do we let Nigerians back home know the depth? So here is a crazy idea, let`s put an advert in a Nigerian newspaper (apparently Daily Sun is the most read paper) paid for by us villagers, the context of the advert can be agreed by all villagers.
So to put our views across Daily Sun advert rate for full page=N294,670.00 plus vat N14,733.50 or maybe in Reuben Abati paper.
l`ll start the ball rolling Ł50 towards the cause.
PS.Emmanuel Franklyne Ogbunwezeh can manage the fund and tell me where to send the money.

What effect would doing an advertorial have??? I think throwing something would have more impact.....even if we don't want to throw our prada shoes, we could throw stones....Or maybe bottles or even grenades __________________ ! c4n D0 aLL 7h!n95............... |

I know brave men like Moshood Erubami, Ugbani, Femi falana, Gani fawehinmi who have done their own best not just with pen but physically speaking. Let us see your face out there carrying a placard denouncing the unconscionable fraudsters and we will know you are dann serious.

| Re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” EIRE:
What is your story? After blaming everybody for the problems of Nigeria, what are your suggestions or are you one of the 700 Cyber Counterinsurgents out to cause confusion? Are ordinary Nigerians responsible for appointing the head of EFCC? Are they responsible for the Police? Are they responsible for awarding contracts? Why would Yar Adua arrest one group of corrupt officials in the morning and have dinner with another set in the evening? Why do we need paid officials if they cannot take responsibility for what is wrong with Nigeria. Remember that these people sought these offices and promised top fix the problems. So why are you blaming ordinary Nigerians for holding the politicians to their promises? You should blame these politicians before blaming the victims of their crimes. Have a great day.

| Re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” Please don't destroy your designer shoes. Like Nwanza rightly pointed out, if you make the mistake to throw the pairs, these thieves will take the shoe and package it for a dependent relation and if it is the correct size, they'll wear it themselves.
Our own plan is to use violence to eliminate these fraudsters one by one or two by two. By the time we start taking out these robbers, they will get the message.
I am very sure that THE REVOLUTION is taking Shape. We have concluded many years ago that ONLY a REVOLUTION OF IDEOLOGY will save this country. It now seems we have to do it by force.
When we now see Yar' Adua dining with Ibori, Aondoankaa, Mark and other corrupt looters, our conviction in our objectives became even stronger.
Yar Adua is preparing AMNESTY for himself. Former Rivers gov. Odili and Mr. Obasanjo are responsible for the purchase of more than 70% of the weapons in the Niger Delta. They bought those weapons in 2003 and even more for the 2007 do-or-die elections. One mallam is now talking about amnesty. These people will SEE FIRE.
Yar'Adua and his wife should continue to steal as much as they can, they will need it in EXILE if they are wise enough.
We are waiting for all the internet bloggers that Yar'Adua and Adeniyi plan to employ. For every blogger, we will launch 3 blogs calling for support for the revolution.
Don't ask me who we are but THE REVOLUTION must HAPPEN.

The best thing is to call all women out to shame them - you know - naked women drives home the message.

The fact that you live outside Nigeria puts you squarely among the bunch of cowards you have so disdainfully described in your post.
Have you organised mass rallies to sensitize ALL Nigerians on their rights and what to expect from the Government?
Its easy for you to be caustic from Oyibo mans land. Come home make we start the real revolution. We all just need a COMMON cause to rally behind.

| Re: Operation “Throw My Shoe At Nigerian Looters” "eire"
Have you ever bothered to get off your ass and try to do something about the state your country "Nigeria" is in? I suppose you are one of the ones who voted for the leaders that you have? Did you offer a hand to help any of the ones who couldn't read the ballot? The many who were unable to read or were too ill to attend? Oh yes, those are some of "fools" you were referring to. You are a sorry piece of shit when you sit back and say that the ones who are trying to help your country are "boring" you. I suggest you get up and put your money where your mouth is and do something for a change. You and your type sicken me.
I support Emmanuel and all those who are behind him 100%. As for you, You better save your money because if you are ever ill you will have to travel a long way for proper medical attention!!!
Oh that's right you don't live in Nigeria now do you.
