On Monday there were different unofficial inauguration ceremonies going on organized by Africans, again, I wanted to test my three hours of jogging three times a week and see how I could survive in a hard situation. For a second time, I set off to a friend's house at 20th street near the World Bank. I made it in less than two hours, but coming back, I decided to take the metro, it took me more than two and half hours about an hour more than when I had walked. The metro was so slow because of the added security at the Union Station, the crowed, coupled with me losing my bearing, I am a bad GPS. That night, I got home exhausted!
My friend sneaked out of office and came home with a friend, they stayed up all night, drinking and listing to Hip-Hop music. Oh, I forgot to say that while I was coming back from my wondering, I got home, opened the door, behold the door was pushed back right at my face, bad timing. I was politely told to hang around for few minutes which I obediently did. Thanks to President
I went straight to my room which was very cozy and comfortable; I read some papers and went to bed.
On I- Day, a friend called and asked if I were ready, nope I answered. She informed me that she was heading to the metro. I quickly got out of bed, zoomed to the bathroom, showered, and hopped out. On my way a friend called that my friend asked for me. I called her back and she said that she was going back to the office to write her story, despite that she had a press pass. Her reason for not going was the rude cold weather and the long line.
I decided, I'd weather it and went. Besides, I was few meters away from Obama, unfortunately, I could not see a thing, because I am short and all the people in front of me looked like giants as if that was not enough, the trees finished my few where the giants did not. It was like a conspiracy between Mother Nature, the trees and people –like- giants against me!
You know it was very funny because whenever I tried to shoot a picture or a video, that's when one of those giants people with their big hats and caps would start sneezing or coughing and that would lead to moving their heads and whatever that is movable in and around them, and of course that would change my view. I had it out with one or two people out of desperation. I was very uncool before uncool became so cool. Me loosing my cool did not help, so I decided to be videoing their heads, hats and caps anything that appeared in my lenses.
I think I shoot more empty space than anything else. What a pity! As you would see in my video, I am trying to describe what I do not know how to explain it. They tall people ruined my day. But at the end of it all, I was there when history was made and was right close to the center of action, if you doubt it look at my video.
If you were there nko? Inappropriate article title...and that puts potential readers off! What, for Allah's sake, are the editorial people of the villagesquare doing? Do they vet articles at all? Haven't we heard of catchy and "commercial headlines?"
Fair article though
