This may also not be unconnected to his recent engagement in Nigeria, where he interviewed kidnappers in what the Minister of Information,Frank Nweke alleged was contrived.

Hi, my good friend, Akinso!

...You heard it through the grapevine....blah ...blah ... blah!

<marquee behavior="alternate" scrollamount="4">:eek:Innuendo ......:pInsinuation... :eek:Conjecture ..... :rolleyes:Speculation ...:pAffirmation!</marquee>

Please CONFIRM first, before injecting adrenaline into our system. Any CNN reference? Any FGN dimension? What are those numerous business deals in his beat as a reporter? What business deals does Mrs. Koinange have with the out-going Governor Sir (Dr.) Peter Odili (JP)? Is EFCC aware?

Why the fcuk don't you just re-do this potentially juicy post of yours, .. I mean, completely from scratch, including providing RELIABLE references, or else, let us wait patiently for the authentic gist to land?

Obrigado.

Some dame also gave me some heads up on some of the guy's shenanigans.Part of the reason I was horrified when I noticed the Nworah guy seemed intimidated instead of messing Jeff up when he was on CNN recently.

There are many stories on Koinage's issues in blogosphere. The recent one concerns a date rape that might have been the reason for his sack. The issue is taking a life of its own. He did some good numbers on Nigeria in many of his reportings.

Here is the site detailing some of his emails on the date rape issue :

Bye, bye, Jeff !!! I am handing you over to the feminists , they can feast off you

From what I'm reading, it has to do more with date rape

From this blog (http://kumekucha.blogspot.com/2007/03/kenyan-date-rape-journalist-plot.html), here's a letter the victim wrote to CNN

CNN, including, Jim Walton (President CNN-Wordlwide), Chris Cramer (Executive Vice-President and Managing Director CNN-International), Jim Clancy and Johathan Mann as well as to Femi Oke (Inside-Africa).

The furious victim whose identity I also reveal today sent off this email letter on Saturday;

From: Marianne briner
To: jim.walton
Subject: jeff koinange - confidential
Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2007 23:45:28 +0000

Dear Mr. Walton,

I had sent in August last year to Jeff Koinange the official Press Release of my Book "A Shining Star in Darkness" which talks about the killing of the former Kenyan Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Robert Ouko in 1990. I had been involved in the investigations and cooperated with Scotland Yard and gave last evidence in front of a Parliamentary Committee in Nairobi in November/December 2004.

Jeff replied immediately and proposed to have an interview with CNN in Atlanta and to present the book in Inside-Africa.

Soon after he started to call me and things changed to very private and personal matters. He then sent me by email photos showing him and Mandela (comment: sharing a special moment with a special friend), the photo of the Prix-Bayeux-Ceremony (comment: so now you know about if even before my wife does ...) and also some photos showing his Living-Room with his Art Collection (comment: I want you to know how I am living...) and then the book about his Grandfather (one copy he sent also to my daughter) - comment: This will give you an insight who I really am and where I come from ...

During all this time he kept me also informed about his job, his assignments, either by phone (sometimes 3 - 4 times per day) or by email (here even upto 10 per day) sent from different places like Darfur, Congo, Botswana, Malaway etc. and last from Nigeria - besides the 'normal' ones from Johannesburg.

Especially the Nigerian Report was then also a point of our discussion now in London when he gave me some inside information how he had arranged the encounter with these MEND people (" of course I had to pay certain people to get the story - but everything was done in agreement with CNN and in accordance with their usual standards - but you do not get such a story without bribing - you know how the world and especially in Nigeria functions - you have to have financial resources - but at the end it was worth it - CNN has its story and I have my 'fame' ......)

The rest of our 'encounter' in London can be read in the attached document. It was nasty and now has turned into an open threat on my life since he warned me that he would give the details of my Spanish address and my Swiss one (where also my daughter lives) to Nicolas Biwott (in my book named Nick Boit).

Especially the last sentence 'if I was prepared to 'MOVE' again' has made me decide to go with whole story into the open. I have to protect not only myself but also my daughter.

Here you should know that I am living in fear since 15 years - I had to move more than a dozen times - and John Troon (retired Superintendent from Scotland Yard who at that time was leading the investigations in Kenya and with whom I am in contact since) has just now confirmed to me in London that I am still in danger.

When he heard that I am in contact with Jeff Koinange, he told me in very strict words 'you have made a very big mistake to trust a man like him. He will sell you for a good story and also to Biwott - I am even convinced that he has set you up just for this reason ...."

After what has happened in London I am starting to believe him. But I have decided to fight back. I have never been a coward and Jeff should know this. Just read his last emails where he is begging me not to disclose anything because it would 'destroy' him.

I had given him time until March 10 to come here and clarify things and to assure me of the introduction to CNN - but he has decided to threaten me instead.

I have sent the attached document already to Femi Oke together with some remarks Jeff made about her which are very offensive. It should make her a bit careful when dealing with him in the future since he is not the 'nice guy' as he pretends to be.

As I said before, I had hoped to settle his whole nasty matter amicably in arranging the promised interview with CNN and also with Oprah Winfrey whom he had also mentioned would be interested to present my book on her Show. But he has decided not to accept my offer and has started to issuee serious threats against me.

I am therefore going into the open and will start my blog under the title 'The secret life of Jeff Koinange" ..........

She sounds like a gold digger. So because Jeff didn't get her interviews to promote her book, she outed him?

The woman is not serious. I hope the people she is afraid of catch up to her.

A couple of issues here. I have been following this news since it broke on cyber space a few weeks ago. These are the few issues I have been able to discern here so far:

1) She accuses him of giving her an STD as is evidenced in many of the blogged report. We are not sure if its HIV/AIDS she got from him or just Herpes or both. The Herpes one seems more a given from all she has written but I guess for her own safety has declined to say whether her HIV/tests came back negative or postive but alludes to the fact that there was a prior problem with the earlier HIV test she underwent which makes me more suspect.

2) She does not deny that she had an ongoing relationship with Jeff Koinage where she even left the option of a threesome with her daughter as the third person in a sex tryst open. Whether this was with her daughter's consent no one knows. However no where in any of the email exchanges she has released did it indicate that she herself was forced into this relationship or made to engage in any sexual act against her will, so please where does the date rape come in? Maybe I missed some of the exchange.

3) She knew he was married but denies any knowledge of the fact that he and his wife were expecting a child. To that I say duh!!!! Does he need the permission of his mistress to get his wife pregnant? even if he told her that he and his wife were not on best of terms is that to impute that he had stopped sleeping with her? This lady needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Other blogs show evidence that she joined him in dissing so many other persons, yet she is willing to only reveal the fact that Jeff dissed certain people whom she fell out of favor with in Kenya and even some of his colleagues at CNN. If I were Jeff, I would be releasing the texts, voice mail and correspondences I had with her myself in other to allow a comparison of all these materials she is distributing all over the place.

4) Jeff is a sleaze ball! Everyone knows that and he is not well liked even amongst his colleagues who have had to deal with him. Even this woman's daughter who she appeared ready to sexually mortgage to satisfy she and jeff's warped sexual fantasy appears to have caught on to the real Jeff before her. What was her motive really?

5) Now the most worrisome aspect of her post appears to be the fact that she even appears more worried about her book deal than the fact that she might have been infected with some life changing disease. She appears more hurt by the lack of free publicity for her book than anything else including the alledged date rape or the falling out with Jeff Coinage.

6)There is a lot more to the stories being peddled around than meets the eye. However it seems CNN is more bothered about the insinuation that it pays for it's stories particularly after it stridently denied this fact after the MEND scoop where Nweke made this allegation. They have been caught unawares in such an embarrassing manner by Jeff's revelation of this fact to a third party. Apparently the rules of journalistic confidentiality which is held in high regards was violated by Jeff and now CNN's reputation is in tatters. I doubt it is the sex tryst of Jeff that worries them as such after all Ted Turner the founder of CNN has had some serious sex scandals in the past. Larry King has a history of women all over the place. A number of CNN people are always in out of sex trysts and scandals, so it is nothing new to them... they have weathered this type of storm before.

7) The lessons of the fall and fall of Jeff Koinage --- "The ego is a terrible thing to massage"

Jeff Koinage's bribe influenced journalism?

Did Jeff Koinage bribe his way into the heart of MEND?

Did Jeff Koinage LIE about his "exploits" I am not talking about SEX !
It looks like this spurned lady is about to take poor Jeff Koinage to where the Nigerian Military "could not take him"?

The woman certainly doesn't sound trustworthy added to the fact that her grouse seems to be that Jeff Koinange did not ensure her book the publicity she wanted.

Anyway, serves that Jeff right. I never trusted him anyway so it shouldn't be a surprise that he goes with such a woman. Afterall as they say; birds of the same feather....

Hi, Mr. I Love Nigeria [pass okada pilots, and low flying taxi drivers]!

Mr. Francis Nweke (Junior) quoted a disclaimer by M.E.N.D. as NOT having granted Jeff Koinange any audience. It was based on that very disclaimer by General Jomo Gbomo of M.E.N.D. that the Federal Government of Nigeria, whose interest YOU are supposed to blindly parrot in cyberspace, actually had the fool-proof alibi that Jeff's supposed encounter with so-called "restive youths and militants of the Niger Delta", was a total fabrication of Mr. Koinange's fertile imagination.

Actually, Jeff Koinage was first accused by M.E.N.D. of bribing a government-sponsored gang of hoodlums, PDP-sponsored thugs, and bandits, so-called "cultists", to impersonate M.E.N.D., with the ultimate objective of trivializing the on-going insurgency in the Niger Delta region.

Now, why did you ask a dumb qestion like the one above? Or were you just bull.sh.iting?

Obrigado.

These are the questions begging for an answer.

I could not care less about whether JK has a sexually transmitted disease or is interested in mother and daughter threesomes. Na dem sabi! He won't be the first or the last on those issues.

I am not one to go overboard about reporting on Nigeria. But, if MEND's claims about JK and CNN turn out to be true, as I have always suspected, it would be very interesting to watch JK go down. Don't be making your useless fame at the expense of my country.

On the contrary, if this lady in her bid to carry out a vendatta against Jeff Koinage decides to drag up stories that will hurt him simply because she can, then I think everything she says is worth examining very closely. CNN is alledging that he was sacked not for the MEND story but for date rape. While we can suspect and allude to the fact that the reverse is the case, it will amount to nothing more than suppossitions and mere assumptions.

I have always watched with amusement as our resident feminists have trampled all over the square when it comes to issues of sex abuse and rape. It is therefore amazing that some are quite willing to wave this allegation away as a mere distraction over love of national pride or news about national coverage and I ask since when?

The reason CNN is attributing to his sack is the date rape case and not the Nigerian news reporting. The fact that the woman has even choosen to put evidence of her warped sex life on the internet for all to read, even when it is not complimentary to her hurts her credibility and does not help her other allegations of "Jeff told me he bribed to get the fake MEND story". How do we know she is not feeding off the bouhaha that emerged from that report to pay him back for not promoting her book?

I take everything she says with a pinch of salt, because this might be a true case of "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" and until CNN says it is sacking Jeff for different reason and not the MEND issue, or evidence is provided to support this fact, I will continue to follow this lady's bold date rape allegations and silly stories very closely.

I also hope in the midst of Koinangate, we'll remember that M.E.N.D. has maintained all this time that they do NOT kidnap for ransom and they have consistently disassociated themselves from that kind of activity.

I know they've been branded with all sorts of names but they have remained resolute in the call for justice and fairness for the Niger Delta - equitable, not superior conditions in the scheme of all things Nigerian.

Being married to a resident feminist yourself, I wonder why you are taking aim in this kind of sly, less than direct manner! It is not your usual style.

Moreover, is Fjord one of your resident feminists? It looks like there many people engaged in streams of consciousness about feminism on this site. You are most welcome to join the crowd of noisy bed fellows.

I don't believe that CNN fired him for date rape. From what I have read on the blog (and I have not read everything -- unlike you, I have not been following this for weeks), I don't see any indication that she alleges that there was date rape. So, I don't even know where CNN got that excuse from. If you can point me to the section on date rape, please do.

The problem with some of you whinners about feminism is that you never take the time to try and figure out whether the issue about which you have a bee in your bonnet is right. You just assume that you can get into the thinking process of a feminist, to the extent that there is a thinking process specific to them, and you launch! Instead of conjuring up allegations that have been on the tip of your tongue, apparently for a while, please direct me to the date rape allegation on the blog or elsewhere.

Eezeebee, your points are well-made and well-taken!

Abraxas... I will not even DISAGREE with you on this.... because, either way, Jeff Koinage cannot come out smelling like roses! See my A and B

A) He bribed the authentic MEND for his "exploits" that is bad for him and bad for CNN ethically and credibility wise

B) He contrived a new MEND, his own MEND, that is illegality.... such criminal enterprise ought to end his career ..... if proven!

AND, Voila, a vindication for nwa nna Minister Nweke aka Mr. Nigeria Image Project

I do not therefore see any benefits for your boy Jeff! Abraxas, do you follow my A and B?

SoulSista, You are right! Because as it is, we have no information about ANY pending or contemplated charges about date-rape or no cosent sex in any of the blogs that are available so far.

I am, personally, splendidly unconcerned with and uninterested in Jeff Koinage's sexual habits, perhaps just to mention that his wife may not be obliged to forgive his adultery.... and serial dating, while married? Jeff and his accuser and Jeff's wife would not be the first nor last in delicious decadence.

NIGERIA was maligned and ridiculed and dragged in the mud, as Jeff Koinage went to where Nigerian Military "could not go"

I also would want to explore the casually mentioned Jeff Koinange/Peter Odili connection ... of business deals etc .... and whether some presidential candidate may have tried to use a "contrived" MEND, not the real thing, that is, fake MEND as opposed to the real MEND.... Did Peter Odili or some other local politician tried to use fake MEND for political leverage?

The same Nigerian military that have been to tough war zones to fight and or to keep the peace worldwide

Incidentally, 6 brave and gallant Nigerian military personnel were murdered in active service... keeping the peace and saving lives in Darfur this week!

Yes Soul Sista, I am married to a feminist and I was born by one. I hold both women, their views and their philosophies in high regard. What Anon does not stand for is duplicity of any kind and in any discourse. That kills me and the activism in me even if it is for a feminist cause or simply in the quest of truth and justice. I will support feminism and feminists as long as it is fair and sensible to do so and yes with the sex abuse being top on the list of things to support.

Here we have a woman alleging all sorts of rubbish in her blogs, many of which you yourself being a lawyer might find discreditable both to her person and her case. I am not an attorney but I dare say that she can never make a creditable witness in court based on her allegations which I have viewed dispassionately.

All of a sudden her date rape accusations and the fact that she alleges that he gave her STD's mean little or nothing to you Soul Sista of all persons on this square, and we are asked instead to focus on the News reporting .:biggrin: Ok granted the question you should be asking is why Jeff was sacked? Even if she alleges in her letter that he told her that the MEND story was paid for, I find her so discreditable on so many grounds that I am disinclined to take her word for it without further corroboration. She appears more annoyed at the denial of her selfish interests and more determined to expose this man over a book than anything else. In your opinion do Rape victims leave their rape issues and go discussing a book that they were supposed to be peddling to CNN and Oprah through the help of their victimizer?

This does not even take away from the fact that I feel there is a good chance that the MEND story was paid for. Or that I think that Jeff himself is a sleaze ball like I had earlier mentioned. I simply cannot be bamboozled to look past all her other allegations with jaundiced eyes like you appear to be doing in this case and latch on to the easiest thing to crucify him with, being the MEND case. The MEND report was suspect from the word go and if you go to that thread, you'll see how many of us questioned his free access to them when the Nigerian media could not achieve that feat. I am just surprised all her allegations so readily fly past you as 'nothing new under the sun"... maybe because you know it hurts her credibility and so it becomes easier to focus on something else. It might take for some of you a duplicitous Marianne Briner to question the MEND stories, but for some of us we are examining all these questions too in light of her motives as well. I will take the words of the MEND people OVER AND ABOVE than that of this woman on that news story anyday.

Now as to whining about feminism or joining the noisy bed fellows (ouch!!!)... I bet you meant that for someone else not Anon, because I do not whine about feminism and feminism does not in anyway take anything from Anon. I could care less about who is and who is not a feminist in real life or cyberspace. BTW it appears the blog posting where she alleges the date rape incident on the weblink posted by Big-K has been yanked off for some reasons but you'll definetly see (assuming that you want to see) a number of posts there that allude to it when you read the comments preceeding or following the blogs

In my initial comments, I said: "if MEND's claims about JK and CNN turn out to be true, as I have always suspected, it would be very interesting to watch JK go down." How is that in anyway a reliance on her credibility?

Why would the fact that he gave her an STD mean anything to me, as a feminist or otherwise? Unless he raped her, which I am yet to see, she is a grown woman who appeared to be in some sort of a consenting adulterous relationship with a married man. They should have used protection, unless he raped her. Where does she allege rape? I am asking again. Is there a CNN release that you are able to share with us?

Honestly, I just don't get what your point is here. You are assuming that I have information that I do not have.

I have said it before in my last post and I'll say it again, a woman who makes this allegations after she has told of how her attempts to get free publicity is spurned is not a creditable person to be making any allegations of STD, Date Rape or anything else. I have also mentioned that the blogs where she initally alleged date rape had been take off for some reasons, but if you read the comments following some of those bolg posts, you'll see where commentators allude to it. Mind you these events have been on since March. Those blogs were not posted yesterday or today. Did you not read where comments were left on that blog asking why she did not go to the hospital to report the rape, or call the police to report the incident? If it was consensual sex would there be talks of reporting? and even collecting semen as evidence?

I'm not sure why the blog owner deleted that portion of it, because for all you know it might have been another lie by her and she might have been informed that Jeff could sue her for slander or libel which ever one. Even her own blog in April contained thesame allegations and she has since ammended it even though she continues to allude to it in some round about away. Some lawyer might have adviced her that in the face of a complete lack of evidence, that she might be courting trouble, hence the reason they were all yanked from the web.

Her allegations do not fly with me, it's that simple!!! And I have not said you support her in anyway, but if this is your round about way of telling me that you do, I hear you!!! Ok, I'm so done with this issue.

I'll take MEND's words over hers anyday and I had questioned the man Jeff Koinage's story or call it scoop right from the beginning on this square.:lol:

You seem to want to make this as personal as possible by dragging the feminist that I live with into this matter, at every turn of the event but I won't oblige you by responding to your bait no matter how much you try.

As to your last point-- I agree which is why I am happy with those who have focused on the MEND release as at that time rather the story currently being peddled by this dupliticious woman! I was just marvelled at how you were quick to dismiss all the other sexual allegations and focus solely on what she allegedly said about the MEND story.

All I can say is stay tuned because I don't think the story is going anywhere soon. I'm sure there'll be more revelations to come and when my Kenyan colleague who keeps me informed of this issue gives me updates on anything that I might miss, I'll send it your way or post it here.

If this JK was sacked by his pay masters CNN, I think the two serious allegation on sax and the undoubted bribery to obtain hit stories is enough to boot this sex maniac(JK) but can CNN proved their ignorance to the actions of Jeff Konainge?

Within lineages, mothers and the maternal ideology were the glue that held families together. Igbo historian Michael A. Onwuegeogwu recognized this fact when he conceded that “the basic criterion of exogamy is common motherhood.”[53] The ideology of motherhood is what gives siblings and lineages a close-knit sense of loyalty and unity. Although a maximal lineage consists of children of several different mothers, the cement that binds them together is not the paternal tie as some would like to believe, but the maternal ideology and the maternal force of the founding ancestor. Even where the professed ancestor is male, it is his mother’s oma or ibe nne (the maternal force or power) that provides the superior basis for constructing ties of nwa nne (child of the same mother). B. M. Akunne, an Nri cultural historian, further puts this in perspective when he describes the power and authority of oma or ibe nne. He states that “ibe nne symboliz[es] the true spirit of unity that binds persons through common motherhood. . . . The term nne [mother] symbolically dominates nna [father] in specifying degree of relationship between persons.”[54] Because in his view, “the term and the relation nwa nna has no direct blood relation; people who have one father use the term nwa nne and not nwa nna.”[55] They are united by the ideology of the father’s mother whose authority or maternal force binds them as one. Unlike the European epistemic scheme that traces life back to the father and the first semen, the Igbo epistemic scheme traces life back to the womb. This appeal to maternal cohesiveness alerts us to the pre-eminence of mothers over fathers in family formation.

Please! I am not getting personal. Stop being so hyper sensitive, please. Or, better still, next time, be clear about which resident feminists you are referring to.

I think it is apparent that you don't have a point as far as your inchoate argument that I am blinding myself to this woman's flaws for some feminist reason. You totally have no point. I keep telling you that I have not read what you have read. You make references to deletions on blogs, comments, a personal source through a Kenyan colleague. Why would you think that I am operating with the same level of detailed information as you? Yet, you keep insisting that I am ignoring "other sexual allegations". How can I dismiss allegations that I have not read? Where did you get these "other sexual allegations"?

The only sexual allegation that I had read as at the time of my first post was about the menaige-a-trois and an STD. Why should I be concerned that two grown adults want to engage in a menaige-a-trois or that one passed an STD to the other if they were in a consenting relationship?

Your point about your comments on the MEND thread is neither here nor there. When did comments on a thread become the sole source information about a villager's thoughts on an issue?

I am going to stop here because it is clear that you won't admit to yourself and to others that you made untenable assumptions about the state of my knowledge and you are building some baseless argument out of thin air. I refuse to exert myself further about what you think because you have "good" story and you are sticking to it. Sir Oguzie, even if CNN can 'prove' their ignorance of the actions of JK, does it really change anything about the overall policy of these news organizations which overjoyed to highlight any negative news item they can discover, uncover or organize?

Have you put on the news and seen anything remotely or spontaneously positive about Nigeria/Africa? In your last trip to Nigeria, did you see those children with flies around their mouths? With big stomachs and lightened hair? I didn't think so.

Now do a test for me; stay up late tonight and turn on your television since you are in the land of 500+ television channels. Sometime in the night after the exercise and jewelry crew have finished their shifts, you'll see yet another 'sob story' about poor African (or Venezuelan) children who need your $18.99 to feed them for a year almost. It goes on nightly and is one of the reasons why I stopped watching television while I was in the US.

CNN, though a world brand, degenerated into the world of pusillanimous and puerile reporting inhabited by the Fox News Channels of this world right before the Iraq war. The BBC barely escaped the same slide into silliness.

There is a lot more to the stories being peddled around than meets the eye.

I have attempted to reason with you because I was under the impression that you were a reasonable person. But, clearly, you are not. If you have nothing to do and you have chosen to pick a fight on the Internet with a soft target, you may have another thing coming to you.:confused1:rolleyes:

Soul Sista a/k/a Soul Sista

Your veiled and unveiled threats mean little or nothing to me Soul Sista. Maybe you ought to go read your posts on this thread all over yet again. Better still I would go back and underline those I find offensive for you to read again and tell me how those fall under your ideas of polite discourse. Please where did I say you lied now? Oh ho... twisting and turning statements not so?

You also have made imputations against me that are false as they come on this thread. You asked about allegations of date rape and I pointed you to where I found them. I asked you to go read, what I read and you came back stating that you simply went on to read CNN's website as if they need to give you or I reasons for firing Jeff. You needed to know where I was drawing my conclusions about the date rape issue and I pointed it out to you, and every turn it became snide remarks such as my wife the "intelligent feminist" or my wife the "resident feminist". Can you not deal with me yourself as a self professed feminist yourself without dragging extraneous matters into it? Is that too hard to ask? It's like having a madam as a feminist ought to me make my views align with hers and I cannot have an independent thought for once that those not align with any feminist rant. I'm sure it surprises you to note that we do not agree on every issue under the sun either

I simply treat people as they deserve to be treated on the square. Nothing you or anyone says can change that. And yes I consider myself reasonable under the circumstances and I'll say you are the one appearing a bit unreasonable here. I don't insult people unless I get some from them. I don't even join threads where you all go off tangent on everyone you find displeasure with. No! you are not my God or god either and cannot dictate what the focus of any discussion should be or ought not to be. It is pitiable that you would think that every body must view things through your own narrow prism or that you have appropriated the term feminism exclusively to yourself on the square and see the need to respond to everything and anything. You seem to think you have some god given authority to comment on any thing under the sun and like mumus everyone must agree with you because you are the most intelligent thing to happen to this square. Not Mr. Anon :lol::lol: But keep it coming and I would happily oblige you too as politely as I can too!:lol::lol::lol::lol::biggrin::biggrin:

Are Some Nigerians’ Psyche Damaged?

....Who defends Nigeria? Why is it that the ever whining and complaining citizens are not doing it? Some Nigerians are quick to say, every insults hauled at Nigerians and Nigeria, is the “bitter truth” Whose bitter truth? I am tired of this “truth” that says Nigerians are biologically or genetically inferior and behaviorally defectively wired or pre-programmed to malfunction!

I reject that proposition, because I know that it does not fit me! All Nigerians should reject and resist any such propositions and words or actions arising from such!

As when Nigerians are maltreated and mistreated by banks, credit cards companies and other financial institutions and the postal services etc, upon being discriminated and disrespected, some Nigerians would go to the unreasonable extent to defend the abusers. It is such that whenever a Nigerian is mistreated, the first Nigerian person that would learn of such egregious mistreatment and maltreatment, seem to always, always, jump to excuse, explain and justify sundry misconduct which are directed at fellow Nigerians.

Some Nigerians seem to always be in all hurries to lend credence to anyone who accuses a fellow Nigerian! Frequently, even before the facts and the details are known! It is as if, some Nigerians have concluded that they are the scum of the earth, and whatever accusations or allegations made against Nigeria and or Nigerians must fit? Or made to fit?....

I do have the God (not god) given authority to comment on anything under the sun. So do you, by the way. You have a problem with that? What I have never been under any illusion that I have is the ability to make anyone agree with me. But, the abillity to comment, neither you nor any other character on the Internet will take that away. What is clear is that slowly and surely, you will come out with is eating deep into you with Soul Sista. Because, honey, I am not buying that it is just this convo. Soul Sista is just a character on the web. A character that you cannot do a thing about. So, get comfortable with whatever is eating you about her comments on this site. You cannot do jack!

Are you not the person who introduced a feminist angle into this discussion? Did I say anything about feminists? Did I support the woman in any way? I appropriated feminism to myself? Don't even go there. So, you are so underhand!! You were too lili-livered to speak directly to me for reasons best known to you. I responded and it was clear from the fact that you responded that you were referring to me. So, why this hide and seek now? If you were not speaking to me, why did you respond?

Get it into the space between your ears: I will read every part of the blogs when I am ready to. I never denied that what you say is in there. I only said that I had not read what you claimed. Honey, there is a difference. Don't let it be lost on you. Until I read, you can keep conjecturing anything you want. I have no reason to lie to you or to anybody. But, you have every reason to keep up your fallacious argument, you ego will not permit you to admit that in this situation, you are wrong as to your reading of my first post. You are just damn wrong!

Finally, please cut the crap! You said you wanted to leave your wife out of the convo, I left her. You want to bring her back now? When in your sly and slimy fashion, you referred to feminists on this site, was your wife not included? Make up your mind, on the one hand I am appropriating. On the other hand, your self declared feminist wife is not included. Please cut the crap! Did I pull her out of the blues? Did I insult her? I was under the opinion that I was making my comments light hearted by referencing the fact that she is a feminist too. Because, initially, I thought that you truly had a misunderstanding regarding my comments, not some long held angst that you have seen an opportunity to display. Clearly, because this convo is NOT about this issue that you are pretending it is about, my referencing her got your goat. Deal with whatever demons are chasing you regarding Soul Sista's conduct on this site. As for me, ah dey kampe.

Can someone please tell me what Soul Sista and Anon are quarelling about. This is a village that is gifted with so many intellectuals of all colors. No one has developed the culture of honesty however. The honesty to admit weaknesses in appreciation of the simple fact of what debating is all about. I think I read somewhere that Soul Sista admitted in clear terms that she had some information deficit because she got on the thread only a few hours ago as opposed to Anon who has obviously been following the issue since March. Wouldn't that have been sufficient to defuse tensions? Besides, if we deny the lady's credibility because of her anger at Jeff Koniange for not giviing her free publicity for her book, why do we celebrate Atiku Abubakar as fighting for democracy in Nigeria, given his anger at not getting OBJ's blessing to become President? Issues just shouldn't be taken too far. Jeff Konainge was fraudulent in his MEND footage. The footage itself contained a bunch of indications of fraud. I pointed all these out in my take on the issue and was instead greeted with a barrage of insults and defamation. Calm it down folks and be back to specifics. Stone-throwing is not the answer! Soul Sista, Anon please take note!

So please stop attributing too much importance to yourself, or seeing demons or shadows were none exist. As for using style to yab you, this is where the problem lies because to be honest with you, the argument over that blog started from my living room, and I was expecting someone else to respond, but you being mama feminism, you could not help yourself, you had to jump in all gong ho and decide that every statement made was for you! Kindly take a chill pill or a panadol self. The day I want to yab you, I would do so frontally, and with aplomb too. Make no mistake about that! You are certainly not that important to me now!:eek:

2)Nothing is chasing Anon. Yes you did irritate me with quite a few of your statements which I had politely pointed out to you, (maybe you should go back and read the posts I underlined again for you.) But as with you in everything else, this had to turn into a feminist debate. One that I don't want to back down on because I'm fighting it on two angles here. There is also as much feminism that one can take at home and the village square.

3) You cut the crap as well! Thanks for leaving madam out of this your attempted potopoto. I won't do you a return favor on that score whether in jest or in humor. I hold such things sacred enough incase you have not noticed, besides to do a return favor on that score will be so ahhh... feminine!:lol: (meow):lol:she had a lot to do with it but you unwittingly dragged her in even before she could find her own voice.

4) Now you get this into the space between your own ears: do not be throwing comments about until you have atleast read and seen where people are coming from. You repeatedly asked for proof of where any allegations of sex abuse was made and I referred you somewhere but you ran somewhere else to go look for it. Why should I not doubt your reading comprehension at that? I said blog and you went to CNN website. Baby kilode?:confused1

5) No next time you conjure up hypothetical insults or you ask for information and it is provided for you, please read it before you come back swinging, it would certainly help any intelligent discourse! Thanks to Omakingbogun for helping you out sha. You surely needed it to put some of your own angst and bad bellus for Anon in context. Also read the portions of my intial post which Madame emj has excrepted for your information that might also tell you where my views on this issue ultimatrly lies!

6) As for the rest of your comments! Let me attempt to take the high road on those one. Not for lack of what to say, but my belief is that it can only go down hill from there if I respond to them!

Again enjoy your warm evening!

P.s. Hopefully folks can go back to whether Jeff has been sacked by CNN? Was sacked for exposing CNN to ridicule over the MEND story? or whether Jeff was sacked because of date rape? (as even alleged by other posters on this thread before Anon).

Next time you want to decide in hindsight that your comments were meant for someone else, it will appear more plausible if you had not responded when the wrong person replied. Even more so if the person that they were allegedly meant for was not to be brought into the conversation by anyone else. Please!!!

No, actually, I will take the high road with your last response because you still don't get that:

1. You introduced feminism into this conversation;

2. I always admitted that I had a deficit of information on the date rape issue and so your accusations were way out of line;

3. I had sufficient information to make my first post;

4. I asked for blogs and CNN information, you pointed to blogs and I then asked again for CNN information, indicating that I had done a search myself; and

5. I never said that I had read the blogs after you directed me to them. I always maintained that I had not read them yet. Indeed, I will not be reading the blogs anytime soon.

Next time you just feel like getting aggressive on the web for no reason at all, please put a sign up so innocent bystanders know to keep moving!

1. If she writes something funny you will laugh up to 35% of your laughing capacity and then stop?
2. Or you will only laugh at 35% of her funny writings?
3. Or you will only read 35% of all her writings?
4. Or you will believe only 35% of everything she claims to be the truth?
5. Or you will only give her 35% credit whenever you comment on her writings?
6. Or you will henceforth think of her as 65% less in height than you previously imagined her?
7. Or in your mind you will only think of her 35% of the time as a writer?

Here are the facts as I see it

The lady in question wrote a letter (see my earlier post) where she alleged threats made to her by Jeff. She also let on that Jeff paid money for his stories and that Jeff is looking for fame.

She then started a blog posting all of Jeff's private emails for the world to read. And the blog is yet to tell us how the date rape took place.

Based on this, here's what I'm deducing so far

- Jeff is an uncle tom sex freak, who cant believe his luck that he has landed an easy white lay - one that is a leftover of Kenyan cabinet ministers.
- The lady's sole mission is to promote her book by any means necessary. The reason she called Jeff at first was to use Jeff to get on CNN and Oprah. A scrutiny of her exchanges with Jeff show someone who is very calculated, while Jeff is only thinking like a rabbit on heat. (Bush Kenyan dude is even requesting for a threesome via email - very bush).

So one person was looking to promote a book, the other was looking for an easy lay. One got the lay, the other's book didnt make it to Oprah and CNN, so she wrote a letter and started a blog.

It doesn't get any more straight forward than you've illustrated. So who's zooming who?

The whole debacle : man-user who kisses and tell, woman-user who thinks only with his other brain etc etc is soo .... I'm at a loss for words :confused1.

And these 2 adults have children who look to them for guidance??. What is this world coming to? Lawd have mercy!!!.

Gbam! abi na Gbosa!!! O'jare big K, there is no side show again, I just refused to get personal and do the mud slinging no matter how much I'm pushed tonight. That na woman abi feminism mata!:rolleyes: My suspicions about this her allegations are exactly as you stated it. A lot of her former innnuendos about the date rape and all that has since yanked from her blog after probably being advised (maybe by her lawyers or maybe even threatned by Jeff's lawyers) that it won't fly... which is why like I had surmised in my first post: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"... I am surprised that the other website also took down the letters from her alleging the same thing and where she was bold to make thesame allegations. Maybe they were warned about the liability issues involved in that as well.

I am inclined to believe the plausibility of CNN/Koinage bribing to get the fake or real MEND whichever one, putting on a show for viewers. I simply don't believe this woman and all the stories she is peddling all over the net because she is suspect and lacks absolute credibility in my own eyes! Until someone can bring me more credible evidence or even ex minister Nweke is bold enough to present his own evidence that he allegedly has, we simply have a scorned lady's story to go with! That I am not buying esspecially since CNN is not talking either!

I have just lost 65% of my respect for Soul Sista the writer.

If Anon was a man, he should have learned by now that you do not win an argument with a lady! And he is married with a child? You need to grow up.

Mr. Akinyi:

You could have offered whatever moderation you had to offer without coming across as condescending as you did in those comments above. You need to grow up yourself, Mr. Akinyi.

Mr. Anon, how would Ms. Iphey feel about your exchange with Soul Sizzling? Think about that.

Ms. Sizzling, do you think Mr. Boo will be proud of you engaging in public war of words with another? Think about that.

If like me you read only the latter, which Katampe highlighted as the date rape one, you will be wondering what it was that you were accused of pretending not to see.

I have just read the former, which does contain the comments that Anon alleged that I lied about not seeing. The references are so obvious that any reasonable human being without an agenda should have known that no one could lie about not seeing them. If I kept insisting that I had not read them, just may be, may be it is because I had not read them. But, when the all knowing have descended from on high to label and malign for causes best known to them, reason is often the first thing to go out of the window.

I missed this linked story below earlier on until now in the kumekucha blogspot (http://kumekucha.blogspot.com/2007/03/breaking-news-date-rape-incident.html) ...Whether the alleged letter is authentic or not is left to be debated, but if it were, then i ask...is this woman for real??? I'm just speechless!. So Big K, she is going to get her interview afterall or at least she has the grand illusion of it. She and m&#233;nage-a-trois-loving Jeff (the adulterer and Nigerian image tarnisher ) deserve each other and whatever fallout comes out of this.

Breaking News: Date Rape Incident
I have just received an email from Marianne Briner (the victim of the date rape incident). I hereby reproduce it here;

After my letters to the CNN-Executives, Jeff Koinange has called me (he is at the moment in Ghana). We spoke for more than 1 hour on the phone. He apologized for the incident in London telling me that it was mainly based on the pressure he had been under after the problems arising from the Nigerian Report the week before.

I have accepted his apologies and we have agreed that we will continue having contacts on a strictly professional basis. He has offered to make a special Interview and a special Report in Inside-Africa during the next months connected to the forthcoming General Elections in Kenya. I have agreed to this.

I therefore want to confirm that I will not pursue the matter which happened in London. I will also confirm this in an official letter which I will send to the Executives of CNN. (This was by someone who was raped??)

Jeff Koinange is an excellent Journalist and I think Africa (and the world) needs somebody like him. He has a lot to offer - and I am the last to judge him on that regrettable incident in London, especially now when his wife is expecting their first child.

@ Katampe

I knew you just had to drag me into this, what do i owe you that my matter concerns you so much. You have been hitting your head against the wall since i featured on the CNN programme (http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/uche-nworah/uche-faces-cnns-jeff-koinage-on-niger-delta-r.html) with Jeff Koinage, what names haven’t you called me? Even asking how i got to be invited by CNN as if you are my God that determines my destiny.

The reason why i have not replied in the manner that you have been abusing and insulting me is because we can not both be angry at the world, or at ourselves at the same time.
You live your life and i live my life, you do your things and i do my things. We are not in the same constituency but perhaps you don’t know that just like Ndigbo would say, ‘Onye na enyo, isi ya ana aputa’. (One can not take a peek without actually exposing or sticking out his head).

To add to your worries, i have been invited by the BBC Television for a live interview on their world news service to talk about the Nigerian presidential inauguration taking place today. The interview will be airing live today (Tuesday May 29th 2007) between 12 noon and 1 PM.

Watch it if envy would let you, but Just don’t jump into a lake.

@ Public Commentator Nworah,

Oh, yeah ? Good for you , and many happy cheers to you at that, at least you never hoped to be a mechanic like Obasanjo, so your public elevation must be coming closer to your dreams.

Is there any villager willing to join me in saying to Anon, ENOUGH?
Does every man here lack the balls to say to this man STOP HARASSING THE LADY?
While this lady can box better than Mohammed Ali’s daughter, and can take care of herself, she is still a lady deserving of respect. This is lower than high school juvenile behaviour. ENOUGH OF THE HARASSMENT.

:confused1:confused1:confused1 Obviously your own balls are heating up and turning red for some reasons and I doubt it has anything to do with this thread in particular. I am the one getting harrassed here... and besides every other person appears to be enjoying the show! The lady in question is yet to complain, (even though I'm sure she appreciates your feeble defence) so why not carry your balls and sanctimonous preachments else where!:eek::eek::mad:

And there might just be a good reason why most of the men or even women that you are attempting to pull into this fray, have stayed away! Go figure (it can't be rocket science)

Funny man, so according to you the lady in question is yet to complain? If a lady told me to "go play with your mates", I would check my English 101 textbook if I did not understand English. But since you seem to be full of bile and acid, to each his own. I think Abraxas had it right somewhere on this thread (and I paraphrase) that you may be hiding some subconscious amore/sex desire for the object of your attack.
You can fire your next shot at me. Everyone in this village now knows your intemperate MO. They ignore you and you think they are enjoying it.
I am gone from this thread. Fire on.

And what is your own MO on the square if I may ask? I have seen use worse than interprate language here on the square so where do you get off sounding sanctimonous? I did not dignify Abraxas with a response because I do not align myself with such thoughts. I'm in one of the few professions where I can tell a lady to take off her clothes and still send her husband a bill after that. So I am not impressed by any cyber space amorus connotations you have in real life or in cyber space because it takes self discipline to reach where I have reached. I have seen it all, and cannot get overtly excited by anything. But continue to jerk off on your screen or simply go get yours and kindly buzz off this thread if you have nothing else to contribute! On the contrary mama the feminist enjoined me to always play with the girls except during a certain time of the month. Is it boyz I should be playing... sorry to disaapoint you, Anon does not swing that way. But it's ok if you like playing girls, I hear such happens now amongst Nigerians but that can be cured! Believe me as a doctor I know!

Please come back oh... Anon is waiting!

I am back from my short trip out. You are still here? Well, if you insist on not playing with your playmates, don't become a cry baby later on o! There are rules in this game. You know you have some cry baby tendencies. And there is no mummy here you can go and cry to, o. I don't want to hear peken later on.

Ehen, so you like playing with girls? Okay, now I get it: you and JK, have a lot in common, ehen?. And, as a doctor, you can kuku cure yourself so no messy blog trail for you, abi?:biggrin:

You can also take his cue with respect to the certain time of the month now. If you get a matured mama like Marianne, that problem will be solved. That way you can play tralala all day long.:lol::lol:

You are a cry baby everybody knows you in this village. This is your MO. You will come all fire and fuming: ehen how you want to put a stop to someone or the other doing something. How you are going to reveal something or the other. At the end, yeye, you cannot follow through. How many people have you attempted to take on the village like this? Abeg, make we hear word. If you want to deal with someone, just deal with the person.

You are the person that turned my reference to playmates to a sexual thing. Play bunny? Where did you get that from? Dirty minded pervert! Get your face out of your Girlie Magazines! Go and re-read your response where you turned the play mates into a sexual thing with the girls that you are playing with and their time of the month. You don't remember that? Take your amnesia medecine. Sebi you are a doctor. I threw it back at you, now you are crying. Abeg, somebody, give him tissues before mucus starts coming out of his dirty nose.

I sat down and I wrote my diaries myself. You yourself have confessed that you read it. Even if you don't confess, in one entry, you were so moved that you wrote something very touching. It is now you know that the diary is about CS exploits. Hypocrite!! What were you doing reading it? Getting your freak on? Do you think I am holier than thou on the outside and freaking than hell on the inside like you? Again, I sat down and wrote my diaries myself. I was in full control of my mental faculties when I did so. So, your sermonizing after reading the diaries is comparable to that bishop who used to condemn gays only to be found to be a paying client of a gay prostitute.

I am not bothered about being embarrassed. I am a human being and I don't believe in super human effort to deal with issues. If you keep conducting yourself as you are, I will conduct myself as I see fit in response. Don't be embarrased for me. Save the embarassment for yourself. It is the fake embarassment that pseuydonymed individuals display on the NET in the face of nuisances like you that emboldens your ilk to think that you are actually in control of anything other than the movement of your bowels.

You were spoiling for a fight from the get-go. Are you not the one who constantly admonish your familty members to cut it out when it seems like they are crossing the line? Why are you not holding yourself up to the same standards or are you just too priggish to do so. By the way where is everyone in your clan and why are they sitting back watching you make such a big fool of yourself like this? The heat is getting to you? You are only responding. You are not attacking anymore? Oooo! I thought you were in attack mode now.

I keep saying you are a cry baby. Now, you want to make a big fuss over my statement:

Didn't your mama tell you not to play with girls?

What is the matter with you? My reference to your Mama was completely innocuous. Anybody reading with half a brain can see that. However, if you choose to take offence, be my guest. It is your funeral, not mine!

It is you that has something in common with Marianne, not me. You are so interested in her that you have been following her since March.:lol: In fact, you are so fascinated with her and into her world that you assume that everyone is in it with you.

Your disgraceful braying and bracking since you woke up this morning is not about anything substantial. It is not about taking up the flak with SS where other villagers have failed. Nobody gave you that duty, to the extent that anyone can assign duties here. It is about you and whatever is eating up your tortured soul with SS in this village. SS is not going anywhere.

Finally, what is it with you and sex? You keep turning this conversation to sexual matters. I don't do dogs.

As I said before, you want to play, go and look for your playmates.

Olakunbi,

Lets not go down that route. If we were all to take sides, we would all be fishing out quotes. Also, I am sure there are quite a few feminists in this house but we havent heard from the rest of them, more so I am not quite sure he was refering to a particular person when he wrote the word.

Lets stop this back and forth movement, we are a family and this square is more exciting when we dont have missiles flying all over the place, in my own opinion.

Oooo! Somebody is getting very worked up here? What is the matter? What is the matter?

Soul Sista a/k/a Soul Sizzling

Haba, madam, please verily verily I say unto you, Physician heal thy self. Now mentioning my mother, on three seperate posts are counting is innocous, good for you. Unlike you I won't return that favor. You obviously only have a full brain and can think not only for yourself but for others. BTW NO ONE IS TURNING THIS INTO A SEXUAL FIGHT EXCEPT YOU. Go back and read your posts. I am just surprised that you have given up on that score so easily. you have run out of down and dirty insults? I was waiting for more of that from you now? You were not embarrassed so what stopped you? Abi after all the threats you ran out of sexual insults to throw around?

See yourself now, you must be slow in reading because apart from the first time I responded to your dog statement where did you see it again? There is nothing with Anon and sex, that throphy belongs to you and you alone on this site. Just go back and read your posts and read those of Marianne, there are quite a number of similarities in them.

We were hoping SS and Anon will allow the thread to be refocused to its original topic. This is not happening, so the thread will be locked until everyone cools down or until the the rumor about Koinange's sack is confirmed (whichever happens first).

CNN's nyash is becoming more exposed by the day. Hitherto, I'd mostly given them the benefit of doubt, but I'm not so sure anymore. Please read the quote (especially the highlighted ones) below.

The Raw Story (http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Rowdy_protests_continue_after_Chavez_TV_0529.html)

Venezuela accuses CNN of linking Chavez to Al-Qaeda David Edwards
Published: Tuesday May 29, 2007

Venezuela said Monday it was filing charges against US cable network CNN for linking President Hugo Chavez to Al-Qaeda, and against a Venezuelan TV network for encouraging Chavez's assassination.

The move comes one day after popular TV network RCTV went off the air after the Chavez government yanked its broadcast license.

Information Minister William Lara presented at a press conference what he said was CNN footage displaying pictures of Chavez juxtaposed with those of an Al-Qaeda leader.

CNN also aired a story about the Venezuelan protests, but used images taken in Mexico of an unrelated story, Lara said.

"CNN broadcast a lie which linked President Chavez to violence and murder," Lara said.

CNN issued a statement late Monday in which they "strongly deny" being "engaged in a campaign to discredit or attack Venezuela."

The news network acknowledged a video mix-up, and "aired a detailed correction and expressed regret for the involuntary error."

Regarding the Al-Qaeda leader, the network said that "unrelated news stories can be juxtaposed in a given program segment just as a newspaper page or a news web site may have unconnected stories adjacent to each other." (wow!)

The Venezuelan government also filed charges against local network Globovision for what they said was indirectly encouraging Chavez's murder by airing footage of the 1981 assassination attempt on the late pope John Paul II.

"In my view, this television network, in this specific part of its programming, committed the offense of incitement to assassination, against the Venezuelan head of state," Lara said.

The charges comes amid protests against Chavez's shutdown of RCTV, a privately-owned broadcaster of popular comedy and drama shows that was boldly critical of Chavez.

After 54 years on the air, RCTV went black at midnight Sunday after the government refused to renew its license. It was promptly replaced by TVes, a state-backed "socialist" station which began broadcasting cultural shows.

On Monday several people were injured as police in Caracas fired rubber bullets and tear gas to put down a demonstration against the RCTV shutdown.

I think news about Jeff Koinange's dismissal by CNN is now confirmed:

Jeff Koinange No Longer Employed By CNN
First on TVNewser: CNN Africa correspondent Jeff Koinange is suddenly out of a job.

"Jeff Koinange is no longer employed by CNN," a spokesperson confirmed today. She said CNN will have no further comment, saying "we do not discuss personnel matters."

Koinange was seen on CNN as recently as May 18, in a 360 special titled "Africa: Dispatches from the Edge." Staffers started wondering about his status last week. The move may be related to a new blog allegedly published by a jilted lover that's getting a lot of attention online. (Google it.)

Koinange joined CNN in 2001 after spending six years at Reuters. "Since joining CNN, Koinange has covered a range of African issues and events with a dedication to professional impartiality while using his experience to report on his topics sympathetically," his bio said. It was removed from CNN.com in the past few days.

What is all this crap about locking out these 2 adults, as some have suggested, a suggestion that admin has apparently decided to follow up on. This is very emblematic of the inexorable march towards the very slippery slope of censorship that NVS has embarked on for a while now. I still remember when this whole censure ship crap started, 1st it was to block the Jonathen's of NVS (as objectionable as their opinion might have been to some), which was championed by the likes of Gwobe (The Atiku die hard who seems to have disappeared. Did Atiku stop paying?) and Abraxas (The MEND ambassador). Then it progressed to deleting words that some all-knowing village administrators considered inappropriate, then came the initially-funny-but-now-honestly-tedious-harrasment-of-new-villagers, into the so called visa center, and now we are ending threads just because some "NVS elders" as some have put it are involved. These are two grown-ass adults for goodness sake and if they want to bring it to each other, let them 'brought' it. No one stopped the thread when Tatafo was taking Uche Nworah to the cleaners or every other second when Abraxas and Auspicious way lay unsupecting villagers with their patented 1,2 punches. This forum is beggining to look a whole lot like a country called Nigeria where mediocrity and corruption rule the day.

They could say what they meant and meant what they say. That was wht attracted me here in th first place and I dsuspect I am not alone. Continue with all these censorship and very soon this will become just another boring Nigerian Forum. There are enough tools included on this site for people to read only that which they want to read such that if Bishop. Ula Lisa does not want to read articles from certain people with a penchant to use choice vulgarities, he can esily banish them, and Afro-Poet can easily demonstrate her dislike of unrepentant masochists that enjoy taunting feminists, and Abraxas can demolish the articles of all the 'ethnic irridentists' before they get to his desk top. Big K, I have never seen this type of outburst from you. I am beginning to think the Yar Adua's stewardship ushered in a new day. Man mi , you are the man! Twenty one gun salute!

Nevertheless, it was pure unadulterated fun watching Anon and Soul Sizzling go head to head.It underscores one thing I hold very dear, no one and believe me no one holds the monopoly of aggressive language. If we must get dirty, please get dirty and liberate yourself from the shackles of societal expectations.

Gradually, I am getting converted to openly declare my feminism. If woman and man commands equal respect and power, abeg make we feel free to abuse ourselves like crazy. And carry blows knock oursleves to pulps , abi no be so ? Some would have been happy that Soul Sizzling had her day, or Anon had a female brawler.

But, you know what Katampe enjoyed both of these folks, and loved every aspect of their humanity. For you it was disgraceful, for some others it was pure unadulterated fun. It gives us the opportunity to see behind the elitist ruse of proper conduct, especially when people feel passionate about what they believe.

Did I see rising above the fray? Is that not cliched ? When people overuse words you start believing its truism. But bystanders know the truth, and the truth has started setting us free one by one.

Oh I see , na you carry patent for this notice me phraseology ? Ok

I look forward to your aggressive battle , the day you will loose it completely. It is very healthy and a liberating feeling. Try it !

BTW, I love this your avatar it blows my artistic mind.

OPEN LETTER TO MY BEST FRIEND K-TAMPS

Dearest me,

You have never hidden the fact that you more than anyone on this site enjoy this type of conduct. All I can say is more power to you. It is so easy to roam free with your thoughts and emotions all the time after all that's how animals in the wilds live their life. It is even easier to continue to live your life without stopping for a moment and having that moment of introspection or moment of reflection, oh how easy it is to just be allowing your so called free thoughts and liberated mind control your life. Actually what is harder to do, and this takes character of the strongest kind, is to know how and when to reign those thoughts and emotions in and channel them positively. As for Tatafo, I will NEVER LOOSE IT ON THIS SITE AND DESCEND TO ANY BASE LEVEL WITH ANYONE NO MATTER WHAT AND NO MATTER THE LEVEL OF PROVOCATION. I am more liberated by never letting anything get to me or at me. I am liberated in the sense that I have the power to control myself and my emotions and cannot freely give that power to another person to muck about with. I am liberated in laughter that brings mirth and joy than the one that brings tears and sadness.

Obviously I cannot say the same for everyone! But you my best friend, keep roaming free and liberating yourself through these sort of insults and abuses if it makes you happy, no matter how in turn debased and yet pathetic that sounds. Even sef continue to lose yourself in this sort of fun everyday. My people say "onye ihie ga cha na anya ga afu ebe o'na ga ejupu ya ofo" (The thing that you studiously seek, you will find am belleful someday, and somewhere). The funny thing is that I notice that you self don't appear to be able to stand the heat when it is on you.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::eek: It is easier to spread pain and hurt than to spread joy, and I am not the one to take the easy way out of anything ever in my life. That it is what shows that I have power and strength and character, and I aint ready to give that up for anything!!!

Hi,

It's the freedom of expression guaranteed on this site that allows you to post crap such as this. Where did you get your half-baked theory that anyone was locked out of this thread? Or that Jonathen or anyone else was blocked from this site? Or that anyone edits out what he/she doesnt like at random. That's how you start jaundiced rumors and accept silly tales as fact.

Maybe you dont have rules in the utopian rat-hole you crawled out from, but we do in this forum and those rules are what we the moderators operate under. And that's what made NVS, NVS !.

Wow. How time flies! On December 5 2006, at exactly 12.14pm, on the Diane Thread (http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/board/woman-woman/33667-relationship-normal-nigerian-men-2.html#post141104), Nike had the following to say:

Hi Diane,
Forget all the crappy good for nothing advice being hammered into you above. The important thing is 'are u having fun? U obviously are enjoying this guy's congo shining expertise. It will cost u much more to buy that expertise otherwise. May be he loves you, may be he loves you not, so what? Most of the guys above did the same thing when they first emigrated from Nigeria. Now every Emeka, Segun and Adamu would like to sound proper and moral. If they did not pass through the same phase it is because their parents one way or the other embezzled the money to send them outside Nigeria to leave in relative style and comfort initially. The young man has to survive, with or without you. Period!!! A man's got to do what a man's got to do.

And, on the same day, barely 30 minutes later, guess who was mad at her comments? The only Big-K (for obvious reasons!):

Nike,

If you used/abused people to get to where you are, or if someone embezzeled money to send you abroad, or if you believe in "A man's got to do what a man's got to do", please dont use that prism to judge others. Many of us got to our stage in life through old-fashioned HARD WORK!!

I have just escaped the vice grip of the honey-coated tongue of a seasoned 419er, who has been posing to the creme de la creme of the chikitos of Port Harcourt, omoges of Benin City, Big Girls of Lagos Island, and Senior Girls of Abuja that he is Jeff Koinange himself, of CNN "Inside Africa" programme.

He told me that he actually bribed Mr. I Love Nigeria (pass cabin biscuit), alias Mr. Paul Adujie (Barrister/IT electrician), and PR consultant to one Balogun Aremu Okikiolakan of Ibogun village, a life member of the Owu Council of Geriatrics.

The fake Jeff Koinange claimed that he bribed Mr. I Love Nigeria (pass Iraq) about US$531,000, make 'e take try use as taxi fare to helep am lobby Baba for multi-million dollar COJA and CHOGM contracts, by de special assistance, and expediting actions of Madam, in doze days.

Any more gists about the REAL Jeff Koinange?

why should people be happy that he's gone? the guy was a fine reporter, Are we denying the fact that the ND issue is not real? or the fact that it was all over CNN all day? i think some people want to just bury their heads in the sand and think the problem will go away when the problem is just staring at your bottom (as a result of the head being down, u know) waiting to kick it well! The guy as I said earlier is a fantastic reporter and really what ever happens in his private life should STAY IN HIS PRIVATE LIFE. Do we know the kind of things people do in their private lives? It is the person that is caught that is the thief (translate that in yoruba). I even want to ask sef, were the hostages paid as well? Talk about serious denial. Salstep! It is the wrong STEP to take to chase babe(s) and then pay.

You asked "When u go naija, sha u dey chase babes? if yes, u no pay them?"

NO! I do not pay for sexual intercourse (in Nigeria or in America)

You should always travel with your wife/girlfriend from where ever you are.

I am so timid and timorous about cash and carry girls! I am afraid of STDs, AIDS, Syphilis, Herpes etc .... I am a coward when it comes to sex! I do not have the bravery it takes to pick girls at Oshodi Bus Stops and "just" pay!

I would not do the same in Rumokoro or at Obasanjo Road in PH or here in New York City... It is safer to sleep alone than risk losing your life to a pay per view girl with STDs

I do not wish that on anyone.... I am not morally superior, I am just fearful and timid! I no wan die O! Dying is not on my schedule

Hi, Rose!

Thanks! Mine was a national assignment. I only did what I had to do, for the sake of 140 million Nigerians that had been taken hostage by a bumbling geriatric for 8 painfully long years.

Izn't it funny, how you are quick to dispel the most obviously true 'rumors' about the Government of the Ruling Party in Nigeria..but you are quick to believe anything about others - including the bloggings of some Scorned and Furious Lady about Mr. Koinange?

Everyday, my friend Paul, you give some of us reasons to take your commentary with a grain of salt. Small time pesin go begin chop salt like Sheep - just for you.

NAR, sorry no vex, I am a day late.. responding to your comments! Some of my days are hectic and busier than others... I was in a beeeeeg crunch and I could not multi-task effectively and combine NVS several hours yesterday and part of today.

I truly appreciate your generous comments up there! You know that too many villagers use me as their footmats and I am frequently in trepidations ..... of fire directed at me....so, saying that I made a "wise" or "intelligent" decision about pay-per-view sex or pay-as-you-go sex, may offend some here... they might thing that I am talking-down sanctimoniously or condescending

So, I just reported what I, without attaching moral adjectives-- (high-hourse) and all!
I am a very "folksy" person and I speak plainly as I see it, but, frequently, some people are convoluted and they in turn expect every else to be same! Should practice speaking in restrained terms/double-speak of American politicians? that is the question my brother NAR

I don't think bribery is the big issue here. Even if he bribed in Nigeria, to get stories, I wouldn't blame him. The issue is that he cannot control his libido. Jeff was doing a lot of hard stuff, so he should have been more careful. As it is, he lived in a glasshouse and threw stones.

Jeff did a lot of stories for which I questioned his guts and contacts, but he met his match when we came to Nigeria the second time! A strong Nigerian proverb states that "if something happens to you once, its could pass as a fluke, but the second time? No! Its not happenstance.

We Nigerians really did not get a positive outlook by his visit. In fact, that visit was positive for just the Pilipinos that were posing an economic and hard to trade issues for the MEND group. CNN never liked us, you need to hear them talk about Naija. "Oil rich country ravaged with poverty and lack. Yes! we know, but must we be told to the face! Jeff is simply facing the consequences of toying with us. What Mugabe cannot do, Baba can do, even better!

My people, do not even in your dreams underestimate the blood in the veins of a Naija born. Surely, we can DO and UNDO. We do not need the international press to remind us what is happening in Naija. We know our problem here too well to be reminded.

Jeff, next time you are looking for FAME and someone mentions Nigeria, pretend you never heard the word and change the topic if you want to stay alive.

Are you calling us a bunch of mobsters??? na true sha. My question to everyone is which way fwd regardin the ND issue. These guys are still in the creeks..... sorry they have penetrated PH. Is it until they enter Lagos before we know that these guys mean serious business? in fact i believe that they have used style to enter Lagos, who remembers the Oceanic Bank robbery of 2005? Those guys came with sophisticated equipment and took over Ozumba Mbadiwe Ave. in the afternoon while they were doing their what they came to do and left by boat thru the 5 cowrie creek. I could hear the gun shots from Sanusi fafunwa clearly! I think mr. yar'adua should make ND his priority b4 the situation gets uglier. These guys are capable o. They have made 2 attempts on the VP already.

I am wondering where the Double Wahalas, Ikechukwus, Free Pubius and the like are today, who thought the best thing to do was to rain insults on me for pointing to indications of staging in the Konainge's footage on the Niger Delta. I wonder where those Nigerians are today, who flooded CNN with emails and letters praising Jeff Konainge's objectivity and denigrating the government of their country before CNN for the hatred of OBJ. I wonder where Reuben Abati is today, who derived pleasure from bashing anything OBJ even if lies and mischief were at play. For all these mischievous evils in utter disregard for truth and fairness, posterity will have its days with the unrepentant! I hope we all learn our lessons as I have personally learned to disregard those that are professional in one-sidedness and abuses.

Hi folks!

I am wondering very much aloud, where the likes of Mr. Frisky Larr, Mr. I Love Nigeria, and several others, are today, who thought that the best thing to do was to rain abuses on me, for pointing to indications that the Federal Government of Nigeria CONFIRMED the original disclaimer by M.E.N.D., concerning Konainge's stage-managed footage on the raging insurgency in the Niger Delta.

I wonder where those Nigerians are today, who flooded cyberspace, and especially, the Square, with all manner of drivel, praising Mr. Francis Nweke (Junior) to high heavens about M.E.N.D's proactive disclaimer, while at the same time down-playing the palpable absence of any sense of seriousness or urgency shown by the General Okikiolakan Obasanjo government about the dire conditions in the Niger Delta region.

I wonder where Mr. Tanibaba is today, who, exactly like my good enemy, Mr. I Love Nigeria (pass Jeff Koinange), derived pleasure from mindless praise-singing, OBJ arsehole licking, official hero-worshiping, transcendental sycophancy, and therapeutic executive ego massaging, even if lies and mischief had to be applied recklessly.

For all these mischievous evils, perpetrated in complete disregard for decency, civility, truth, and justice, posterity will have a field day with their intransigence. I hope we all learn our lessons, as I have personally learned to disregard those that are professional in one-sidedness and unrestrained ego tripping, like Mr. Frisky Larr and Mr. I Love Nigeria(pass CNN).

Meanwhile, we observe with delight, the clipping of the wings, beak, neck and legs of Mr. I Love Nigeria (pass Segun Adeniyi). He has been banned, OFFICIALLY,by Aso Rock Villa security, from congratulating, praise-singing, or ego-massaging UMY'A. Moreover, he is yet to collect his May 2007 salary from one Balogun Okikiolakan Obasanjo of Ibogun village, in Owu Kingdom, because the former tyrant was very unsatisfied with the results of a huge image laundering and propaganda services contract that was given Mr. ILN to execute over the past 8 years. The Presidency has since been notified to keep Mr. Paul Adujie [COLOR="Silver"](Esq./IT mechanic of New York) at arm's length.

Obrigado.

Abraxas Sir,

Let your zeal for turning my words into a mirrored reflection not drive you too far into obscuring and misrepresenting facts Sir. Frisky Larr doesn't rain abuses on no one! Frisky Larr will occasionally react to some insults when they tend to get excessive! Kindly do yourself the invaluable favor of seeking a reputable dictionary definition of one-sidedness and ego tripping and tell the world candidly how that fits into whatever knowledge you claim to have of Frisky Larr. Kindly stick to facts Sir!

<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD>CNN'S BAD NEW$

By LEONARD GREENE June 8, 2007 -- The steamy e-mails that landed a CNN reporter in the news and out of a job detailed more than his adulterous affair - they revealed that the Africa correspondent apparently admitted paying militiamen to help him stage a story, according to several sources.
For months, Jeff Koinange had been dogged by allegations that in February, he paid off gunmen to put on a show for a story about Nigerian resistance.
The accusations from Nigerian government officials were so strong that CNN gave a denial during a February broadcast.
"CNN did not pay for or stage any part of the report," anchor John Roberts said. "CNN does not pay for interviews."
But a Swiss author - in an e-mail to Koinange's boss, CNN Worldwide President Jim Walton - details a months-long romance with Koinange, and quotes the correspondent as saying he traded cash for the story.
"Of course I had to pay certain people to get the story," Koinange says, according to the e-mail.
"But everything was done in agreement with CNN and in accordance with their usual standards. But you do not get such a story without bribing . . . You have to have financial resources. But at the end, it was worth it. CNN has its story and I have my 'fame.' "
Marianne Briner shared the alleged admission on a blog she launched after her romance with the married correspondent went sour.
Briner said she began writing to Koinange last August, about a book she'd written on the killing of a Kenyan government minister.
"Soon after, he started to call me and things changed to very private and personal matters," Briner said in the e-mail to CNN.
A meeting apparently led to sex and then to a long-distance correspondence. Sources said Koinange used his CNN e-mail address to communicate with Briner.
Koinange said he was scolded for talking dirty through company e-mail. "I have been reprimanded by CNN from e-mailing anything other than the basics," he wrote to Briner.
On her blog, "Distant Lovers," Briner wrote: "Jeff should have known that this could one day create a problem. But obviously, he did not regard this [as] serious."
Neither Koinange nor CNN executives could be reached for comment.

Ochi Dabari: this is precisely beside the point. Koinange's private affairs pales into nothingness compared with the other issue of his and CNN's credibility. Why should anyone be concerned with what Koinange does with anybody between the sheets?? The cavalier disposition in talking about bribe-for-stories is insightful into his and CNN's way of doing things. You'll seldom find a BBC correspondent doing this. That's the important story, not the doings of Koinange's phallus.
