Re: Osun State Governor's Visit to the U.S.

We are pleased to announce that His Excellency, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Governor, Osun State will be visiting the United States from July 5, 2006 to July 12, 2006. The primary purpose of the visit is to improve the prospects for Osun's economic development through the development of collaborative relationships and opportunities with U.S. companies and institutions. The visit is being organized by some indigenes of the state resident in the U.S. under the auspices of the Osun State Indigene Forum.

Recognizing that no one individual has a monopoly on knowledge of how best to move the state forward, His Excellency has requested to meet with all sons and daughters of Osun State in the United States during the visit to enable us, collectively, to chart a common path forward. To this end, a Summit or Town Hall Meeting will be held in the morning of Saturday, July 8, 2006 in Wilmington, Delaware, to be followed by a reception party in the evening at the exquisite Wilmington Riverfront Chase Center.

As coordinators of the event, we are leaving the door open to all, individually and collectively, especially Osun ethnic organizations in the U.S. to contribute meaningfully towards making the summit and visit a success. During the summit, participants will be given the opportunity to parley with the governor and ask questions related to issues of development policies and programs in the state.

If you have questions, ideas, and suggestions, or wish to contribute financially, please call Dr. Durosomo or Remi Oyeyemi at the telephone numbers specified below. You may also direct your inquiries to osunforum@yahoo.com

With all the best wishes for a successful summit and visit.

Dr. Tunde Durosomo Bolaji Gray Remi Oyeyemi
