Nigeria have a large number of stars plying their trade in the Premier League with players such as Chelsea's John Obi Mikel, Newcastle's Obafemi Martins and Fulham's very own Dickson Etuhu and all expecting to feature against the Republic of Ireland.

That's a very reasonable pairing for an end-of-season International Friendly. Decent ticket prices, too. Could have been there, but for travelling commitments.

Hope Nigeria can begin to showcase other younger talents. Stars like Kanu are beginning to wane.
