Hi ladies and gents!
Just thought I'd introduce myself.
I've been a member for about a year, but have not really been active  till now. My name's Siena.
I'm a Nigerian, born and raised in the UK, and currently residing in Suffolk.
I'm an engineer by trade, and I run an Audi / Volkswagen online genuine parts supply service. I also do car conversions - all my clients have to do is supply their chosen car, feed me ideas on what they want, performance - visual aspect - handling etc, or all the above, and I get to work, to make it happen!
I'm an avid motorsport fan, and have built cars that have been pretty competitive in the past, and am proud to say, one of the few Nigerians here that has had project cars featured in various performance car magazines.
It's been a roller-coaster ride to success, and I'm priviledged to be dating a lovely Nigerian lady, and have the best of both worlds. She's also an entrepreneur (spelled wrong?) and has been the most supportive partner anyone could wish for. She's also a great mother to our young son too.
Hopefully, my time on here will be great fun, and I'll learn new things from the "other side", so to speak. Regardless of how much we know, (or how much we think we do) we can always learn something new from the most unexpected of sources.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be part of this board. :)

You are welcome here...
Glad to hear you have a thriving biz and are not a 419 or yahoo boy (I don't know the difference, can someone tell me, please?)
I love (old) muscle cars too...saw one on the link you provided...
Besides curiosity, why do you choose to join the NVS and what can you contribute?

Hi, Siena!
You are most welcome to NVS!:D
Great intro! Quite detailed. Shows that you did your homework very well.
BTW, Did Dewdrops tell you that she is a titled chief in this village?:p
For the past one year that you have sat on the Village fence as an observer, what would you say is the most outstanding and, probably, endearing thing that helped you decide to register as a member?
As a born-and-bred-in-the-UK Nigerian, what do you think of the situation of things back home in Nigeria?
What do you think is the major problem and is there a way forward? ( I am assuming that you have been to Nigeria. Yes?)
It looks like you are so much into cars. That's great!
In what ways do you unwind, i.e, hobbies etc?
BTW, all the best to you and your sweetheart. Please let us know when Junior gets a sister/brother. We like enjoyment in this village, you'll see.
Please relax and have fun in the Square.

How yoo dey? Shey not'ing dey! How, now? Family, nko? How mush tolotolo done dey cost for ya side now, as keresimesi done dey come small-small? Inflation, nko? ... How about de global warming, ati economic melt-down, pelu dividends of demo? We t'ank God~o, no be small! I am telling yoo....
De qwuexzhion wey yoo axe important: Who go come tell de oyinbo naija about de t'ings wey inhm go supply for we heldas for hia?
Make I refer yoo to de Due Process Manual:
STEP #1: De visa applicant go go for de ground floor lobby, pick tally from one wooman wey look like sey 'inhm be one kind ogbologbo Senior Babe of 9jeriya wey dey do receptionist work for VTT, (but true-true, de babe na de O/c Espinage for awa Village High Commission wey dey operate fine-fine under cover!)
STEP #2: After de applicant done pick 'inhm tally, 'e go go enter de high-speed lifts for de south wing of the Village Twin Towers Complex, press button sey 'inhm dey go 250th Floor to go meet de pipul for Homeland Security.
As de applicant dey go, like that, {enhen?}, for inside de lift, we go extract all 'inhm biometric data, without 'inhm know sey we dey scan and digitize 'inhm biometric and other identity authentication particulars jejely, as 'e dey for de lift so.
STEP #3: After due security clearance, the applicant will be free to VOLUNTARILY partake in an open-ended, no-holds-bared interactive session with both the staff of the Village High Commission, and all bona fide Villagers (No JJCs, please!), so as to enable Villagers know the applicant BETTER.
STEP #4: At the discretion of the Senior Executive Adviser to the CEO (SExA-COE), the applicant is prompted to pay the appropriate and statutory processing and administrative fees, known officially as PARTYKOLAS, for the issuance of a GENUINE temporary transit visa to enable unrestricted access into the nooks and crannies of this our Village of origin, with goods and services (i.e. strictly NO CASH!), credited directly to the account of the Village Elders' Forum (Bar & Discotheque)
STEP #5: On full submission of the obligatory partykolas, the SExA-CEO shall recommend the candidate to the Chairperson B.o.T. JJCAMB, for consideration for issuance of a valid visa, commensurate with the performance of the applicant in the interactive interrogation sessions.
Note Very Well: Under no circumstances should partykolas be obtained from applicant who performed below VTT standards, or absconded, or aborted their interview appointment for whatever reason.
STEP # 6: On approval for issuance of visa, the Village High Commissioner shall issue accordingly as directed.
Muchas gracias.

Hi, Siena (JJC)!
I'm a Nigerian, born and raised in the UK, and currently residing in Suffolk.
I'm an engineer by trade, and I run an Audi/Volkswagen online genuine parts supply service. I also do car conversions - all my clients have to do is supply their chosen car, feed me ideas on what they want, performance - visual aspect - handling etc, or all the above, and I get to work, to make it happen!
How are you doing? I hope you are OK! How is your health? How about your busisiness? ... and how about that your very beloved Nigerian girlfriend? Merry Eid el Kabir (Moslem festival), and a funky Christmas (Christian festive season) in advance. To God be the glory! Amen!
Aheeeeeeeeeeeem ... this your so-called on-line GENUINE spare parts business: it feels somehow to me; I won't tell you lies, honest!
How can one know GENUINE spare parts on the INTERNET (unless the person is a witch or a wizard )? Or is it a scam spare parts business that you run, making cool pounds stirling that attract all those butilicious Nigerian babes to you???! I am only asking, please... do not be angry with me, I beg you.
I think you said that you were born in Suffolk, in the UK. By the way, do you speak Brokin at all? Furthermore, you said that you are an engineer by trade. Please do not be upset, let me ask you one more question: Is it that you are an engineer that trades (buying and selling) in vehicle spare parts, either as your hobby, or is it because you do not have another work to do as a qualified engineer, just like some folks do at Alaba International in Lagos (Center of High Sense), or is it that you are an "engineer" of spare parts traders, just like one Alhaji Tajudeen Alao (a stark illiterate) is known as the "doctor" of all Japanese vehicle traders in sub-Sahara Africa?
Please explain!
Let me ask you: Did to go to any university to study engineering at all? If so, in which university, and in which branch of engineering did you specialize: Civil? Mechanical? Robotics? Electrical? Automobile? Nuclear?
...Or, is it that you are a "PRACTICAL" enineer that did not go to school, that has made more money than all those "THEORETICAL" engineers, in view of the fact that you are a very good mechanic that even operates in cyberspace?
My brother, I am waiting for your reply!

Abraxas, I'm pretty good, business, health and personal life wise.
As for comparing me to Nigerians that use the 'net to defraud others, forget it.
I have too much respect for myself, my business is fully registered with the Inland Revenue, as well as Companies House, England, as a Limited company.
Regd. in the UK 6693945
I pay my taxes, and my clients, both local and international, have no problems contacting me - I don't trade solely with an "unregistered" pay-as-you-talk cellphone like your guys do, I have a fixed landline on my site. I also use dedicated email addresses, not "free" Yahoo! ones.
Do you know what genuine means? Either way, I'll explain to you.
I'm an independent Audi / Volkswagen specialist, and besides custom conversions and regular repairs, I also supply OEM parts, both local and global.
The Audi / VW community is very close knit, and believe me, you can't fob these guys off with "fake" or non-genuine items. You won't last very long in the community if you even attempt to pass off aftermarket parts as OEM.
"OEM" = Original Equipment Manufacturer.
As for my credentials - my work speaks for itself.
As I stated before, I'm proud as a Nigerian to have accomplished all I have done, and to have had my work magazine featured.
I am well know in the competition scene, and have the respect of folk, both black and white.
In the modified and competition car scene, Siena needs no introduction.
When you get a chance, take a look at this:
www.deltavag.com/forum
That's my forum, if you look under the "Projects" category, you'll see my latest creation.
And just in case you think my write-up is biased, because it's my forum, please look here too, just look under members, and type in my name - Siena, and check threads started by me, or posts by me.
You'll find I'm very respected, from responses from others.
www.audi-sport.net/vb - A UK Audi forum
www.audizine.com/forum - A US-based Audi forum
www.audiforums.com/forum - A US-based Audi forum
I don't have the time or patience for "Smart Alecs" that are out to relieve decent folk of their hard-earned cash.
I don't have the time or patience to explain to them where they're going wrong.
So Abraxas, you do some research into Siena, then get back to me, huh?

Hi, Siena (JJC)!
It appears like you forgot to remember to VOLUNTARILY answer some crucial questions required for knowing you better. I am therefore constrained to ask you, once more: Did to go to any university to study engineering at all? If so, in which university, and in which branch of engineering did you specialize: Civil? Mechanical? Robotics? Electrical? Automobile? Nuclear?
...Or, is it that you are a "PRACTICAL" engineer that did not go to school, that has made more money than all those "THEORETICAL" engineers, in view of the fact that you are a very good mechanic that even operates in cyberspace?
My brother, I am still waiting for your reply!
Please tell me: What were the circumstances that led to your not being fluent in, or even familiar with colloquial Brokin grammar, given that you claim to be a Nigerian? I am sure you are aware that the lingua franca of this our Village (of origin of no regret whatsoever, called the Nigerian Village Square) is BROKIN.
I hope that you are also aware that the Village High Commission can arrange for you to take some refresher/booster courses in classical Brokin Literature, Colloquial Brokin, Business Brokin, Brokin Neurolinguistics (Programming, Semantics, Syntax and Semiology), and the History of Brokin from the Ile-Ogbon University of Hard Knocks, located in Igbo-Eleri Metropolis, just by the Square (in fact, on the 100th floor of the Village Twin Towers Complex), that is, if you are interested. Are you interested?
And by the way, does your very beloved Nigerian girlfriend understand or speak BROKIN at all?
I am waiting for your replies, please!
Muchas gracias, mi amigo.

Hi, Siena (JJC)!
I have just received your biometric profile (extracted unobtrusively while you were under interrogation by the Director of Homeland Security). Please cooperate, in the interest of progress.
Aheeeeeeeeeeeem ... Once more, let me ask you:
(1) Did you graduate from any university at all? If so, which university?
(2) If you graduated from a university, did you study engineering? If so, in which branch of engineering did you specialize: Aeronautical? Aerospace? Biomedical? Biochemical? Civil? Chemical? Electronics? Geothermal? Marine? Mining? Petroleum? Natural Gas? Mechanical? Cybernetics? Robotics? Electrical? Automobile? Nuclear?
If you graduated from a university, then, what grade did you make? First Class? Second Class (Upper)? Second Class (Lower)? Third Class? Ordinary degree? Please be specific.
I am still waiting (patiently) for your prompt response to this very crucial question, please!
Muchas gracias, mi amigo.

Ha! No answers are forthcoming, so let the deportation begin!

Siena,
No-one is going to 'deport' you.
If you read Abraxas' post earlier on, you'll have seen that he made references to the answers being given voluntarily. So if you feel you're done here, move on and join in the threads elsewhere on the Square.

Siena (m) Mr & Mrs Siena's Baby Is Born Today - We're Proud As Punch!
« on: July 13, 2010, 08:22 PM »
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, Tuesday 13th July 2010, at 16:14, our baby girl came into this world, albeit 13 days late!
Nairalanders, please wherever you are, give thanks and praises to God, for the safe delivery. I was present all through, and can say it was the most nerve-racking experience ever, but well worth it.
She weighed 7lbs / 13.5 oz, was 49 cm. We have named her Sienna Oghenerukevwe Gbudje. My babies are doing just fine, still in hospital though for routine observation, will both be home on Thursday.
Me waiting, and trying not to look too nervous:
Us 10 minutes after delivery:
Mummy holding Sienna for the first time:
Time to bond with baby! :
Awww! :
Seee correct dude!!! :hail: If you garrrrrrrrrrittt......Flaunt it darling.
Love you guys always babieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!!
See ya on Nairaland as usual.......Wey that your iyawo sef? Make I yab am smell.... :rose:

OMG
The baby don land to complete the equation
I knew my brother Siena was well able
God bless the Delta prince and his princess
wallahi that man is the best catch any woman can get on cyberspace
The coolest man for internet.
I was so impressed by his love story.
I think he was born and bred in England and at some point lived in Nigeria and had a childhood sweetheart that he never forgot
Nairaland babes were falling all over the guy but when it came to marriage what did he do?
The cool dude returned home to marry his one true love
His childhood sweetheart.
I was so emotional.
Love them both to pieces.
If there was ever any cyber friends I wanted to meet face to face ,it would be them.

At 19:06 hours, my wife and Sienna arrived home. I picked them up from hospital after work today. It was a great feeling to carry my daughter into our home for the first time, and be able to feed her too.
As my wife had CS, I'll be doing most of the things she's accustomed to doing herself, this means cooking, housework etc. She's still keen to do her usual chores, but i'm putting my foot down on this one - she's on holiday for the next few weeks, till I feel she's strong enough to take-over once more. Smiley
Mummy and Baby Sienna are doing fine, in the meantime, with Sienna the centre of attention, and loving it. I'll be taking more pictures as time goes by. Smiley
Thanks for all your well wishes.
