Don't know much about the others, but the Regency Suites isn't bad. At least it was quiet, decent, comfortable and clean when we attended a seminar there, mid last year.
The only problem is the traffic congestion in that area i.e. the Adeniyi Jones/Oba Akran axis.
It wasn't pleasant, and it made our trips to and from the hotel, rather tedious. On two occassions, there was a 2-hour gridlock on that road, as we struggled to get to the hotel!

These hotels are generally okay save Airport Hotel - but I don't know Paragon or Summer Lodge.
For ambience and traffic reasons, I'd recommend Country Inn. On Joel Ogunnaike also is House J Suites. Joel Ogunnaike is particularly convenient because just off that road is Isaac John Street on which there are a number of decent shops and eateries [Adebola Plaza, Sweet Sensation, Nandos, Barcelos plus a couple of Indian restaurants] so its quite convenient and your friend does not have to go far for security reasons. I'd recommend House J and Country Inn in that order.
I'd also suggest -
14-16, Mojidi Street, off Toyin Street
Lagos Hilton is good but I'd avoid it due to Allen/Opebi traffic wahala.
There is a Protea hotel at the edge of Shonibare Estate just behind Planet One on Bank-Anthony Way coming from Maryand junction. Planet One is just before the Caverton Helicopters pad. Sorry I dont have the contacts. Also, there are guest chalets at Planet One.

I recommend House 'J' on Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA, Ikeja.
We usually lodge some of our guests there when there is no space at Sheraton.

Summer lodge and airport hotel is a no no.
Airport hotel is still stuck in the past. except they have renovated.
Summer lodge, although nice on the outside, d rooms make u want to commit sudcide. dull and brown looking walls.
Westown is okish. dont be fooled by their website like i did. That was the look from when it first opened.
Contenetial(hotel Support) on Allen/opebi junction is ok. But 2 get proper bargains u may want to go towards festac extension. There are some new hotels there that charge about
7k. Ikeja give u crap at silly prices.

I usually stay at the Georgetown Guest House/Hotel in Ikeja GRA...i particularly like this spot coz it's not like your typical hotel...they have wireless internet and you can actually take off your shoes and walk bare-footed in the rooms. It's about N27-N35k a nite but well worth it.

@Sis Soul Sista:
Mi o gba (I no go gree)! Why did you conveniently remove "Lakayana Hotel" from the list?!:surprised:biggrin: I remember that hotel along that Agidingbi road (yeah right like I remember the name of the road). Anyway, that road that has or maybe used to have Coca Cola, Cadbury's, Scwheppes, Daily Times on it in Ikeja.
Speaking about hotels, does anyone remember "Right Time Hotel" on Ikorodu Road (Jibowu intersection...I think)? It was one raaaazzz hotel like this and big as the whole Ikorodu road span was, it stood out. Right Time my foot! Afi right time naa! A reddish/burgundy bldg like this. Hmmm why am I only remembering these razz spots?
