Follu Gee's journey into music started in 1996 during his undergraduate days as a member of the Ibadan varsity Christian Choir when he learnt how to play the Saxophone of which his first lesson was paid for by his elder brother Dele Adeyinka.

In the year 2000, Follu Gee and two other guys formed a group known as Wavelength, but he later left to start a solo career such that he could express himself more on the Saxophone.

This first class honors Engineering graduate of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria who enjoys immense support from Skye Bank where he is an employee is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the production comes out even better than his first effort. He featured other great talents and rappers like Zdon, Mode IX, Ela-Joe, Ogyny and Freestyle in this inspirational work which blends African rhythm with Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap and some High life tunes. He basically wants to present his music in a way that it will be acceptable all over the world. He hopes to work with great international artistes like Akon, Usher and R-Kelly and win the KORA & GRAMMY awards in the course of his music career. He hopes to release this debut album on one of Nigeria's best labels.

Future Plans

  • album coverDevelop a brand of music that blends African tunes with western raps; thereby creating relevance locally and internationally.
  • The Saxophone is supposed to be a prominent instrument. His kind of music can best be classified as INSPIRATIONAL as his music is supposed to "minister" to the Body, Soul & Spirit.
  • He hopes to carry along the youth by introducing some heavy dance-hall beats with popular phrases.
  • He hopes to release an eight to ten track album once every two years. The videos of some of the songs will be shot to meet international standards.
  • Each album will include a sax version of any song by a local or international artiste whose lyrics are considered to be inspiring and positive. The first album will hopefully feature one of Tu-face's songs; (Mfana Nbanga) while permission will be sought to work on other songs like Akon ÔÇô "So lonely "and R-Kelly " I believe I can fly", "The storm is over now", "Lean on me" and other songs with positive and inspiring lyrics in subsequent albums.
  • It is instructive to state that this is not a jazz album; rather trying to express myself through what I consider a soulful instrument.-the saxophone. While most of the tracks will be sax instrumentation of common songs infused with raps and other styles, there will one or two original tracks that will be taken with voice.
  • Follu Gee plans to do a monthly shows that will conveniently accomodate with his banking career.
