Just Before Hillary Kills Obama Print E-mail

When will Hillary kill Obama? In New Hampshire or on Super Tuesday?  Before March or in June?

I first heard the joke when Hillary Clinton was invincible and Rudy Giuliani was the leading candidate for the Republican Party nomination. I dismissed it as inconsequential.

Thanks to Hillary, now I do not think it is wise to regard it as a mere joke. Anyone who knows Barack Obama should warn him to beware of June 5th.

The way Hillary continues to run, in spite of all the odds, indicates that she knows something we all do not know. Not a form of unknown math combination and permutation that will give her the delegates she needs, but something more sinister. Some have called that thing the June surprise.

The idea is that when June comes, as the superdelegates prepare to make their final choices, Hillary’s people will drop a fetal bomb about Barack Obama. And they hope the bomb will be big enough that Obama will throw in the towel way before the superdelegates desert him in doves. That has been the best case scenario that the Clintons have been working on as a final solution to the fairy tale.

But in an interview with Sioux Argus Leader editorial board, Clinton had a slip of tongue. In trying to give reasons why she is hanging in there, she said that we should remember that Robert Kennedy was assassinated on June 5th 1968 in California while he fought for the Democratic Party nomination. The good book says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

As of June 5th 1968, Robert Kennedy was not the leading candidate for the Democratic Party nomination. He was about 200 votes behind Eugene McCarthy. Meanwhile, the real leading candidate backed by the establishment was Hubert Humphrey, Lyndon Johnson’s Vice President. Despite Kennedy’s third place position, he was considered a threat to the candidate of the Democratic Party establishment. Kennedy’s ultimate plan was to knock out Eugene McCarthy in California and go one-on-one with Humphrey.

For many in the Democratic Party leadership, Kennedy was just a fairy tale candidate. Like Obama of today, candidate Kennedy carried with him the hope of millions who had been disenfranchised by the political process. He advocated racial and economic justice. His concept of foreign policy was one that would be non-aggressive, not one that would obliterate enemy nations. He attracted the young, noting that, "Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope...."

Kennedy was called an opportunist by the Democratic Party elite. He was considered at some quarters as a man without substance, a former Attorney General under the administration of his brother (code word-nepotism) and a first term senator from his adopted New York (code word-carpetbagger). From the point he announced his candidacy for president on March 16th 1968, it was obvious he would be the candidate for change, "I do not run for the Presidency merely to oppose any man, but to propose new policies,” Robert Kennedy declared. “I run because I am convinced that this country is on a perilous course and because I have such strong feelings about what must be done, and I feel that I'm obliged to do all I can." Reminds you of anyone?

Robert Kennedy was not unaware of the danger he faced. He noted that, “Progress is a nice word. But change is its motivator. And change has its enemies.”

On June 5th 1968, 24 year-old Jordanian immigrant, Sirhan Sirhan assassinated Kennedy as he celebrated his win in California . Sirhan’s reason for killing him was because of Kennedy’s support for Israel . Or so we were told, as conspiracy theorists will say.

With so many Hillary’s voters culturally different (a code word) from Obama, who knows if the culturally different Sirhan Sirhan of Pennsylvania or West Virginia has gotten a coded message. Who knows? Maybe Hillary knows. (Sounds outrageous? In these United States , you never say never.)

Before Iowa , the joke was that based on what happened to the Kennedy brothers, it is obvious that there are people behind the U.S. presidency that are stronger than the president. It then follows that if President Hillary does not want to be assassinated by forces who do not want a female president (code word – sexists- the same people Hillary has been attacking this week), she should pick Barack Obama as her Vice President. The thinking being that killing President Hillary would lead to the worst nightmare of the culturally different Hillary voters - a black president.

Now the new joke is that if President Obama wants to stay alive politically and otherwise, he should make sure that Hillary Clinton is NOT his Vice President. What an end for Hillary!

But should anything happen to Obama on June 5th or after, William Shakespeare has provided us with a befitting epitaph. It is the same that Robert Kennedy recited for his brother, President John F. Kennedy, when he was assassinated in Dallas , Texas .

“Come, night; come, Romeo; come, thou day in night;

For thou wilt lie upon the wings of night

Whiter than new snow on a raven's back.

Come, gentle night, come, loving, black-brow'd night,

Give me my Romeo; and, when he shall die,

Take him and cut him out in little stars,

And he will make the face of heaven so fine

That all the world will be in love with night

And pay no worship to the garish sun.”

The Clintons underestimated the yearnings of an average American for change. I hope OBJ's "do or die" syndrome isn't at work here. Nothing should happen to Obama.

A word is enough for the wise!

Rudy, thanks for writing about that horrible statement, it further shows how desperate, dangerous and irresponsible this woman has become.

If I were in Obama's campaign I'll make sure we make a big deal of that statement, but I think they are trying to play it down. I believe Hillary is actually soliciting for somebody to assasinate Obama.

This is the height of political irresponsibility.

Yours excellency,

Spot on sir!

The irresponsibility that statement carries is unbelievable. Essentially, she's confirmed that if she were to be privy to a plot to to assasinate an Obama, she wouldn't call 999 let alone the SSS, to give a heads up....just because it suit her political hallucination. I am forced to think, what sort of mother is this ?

Hillary has successfully brought down the house of the Clintons, and it is sad. Depressing for all folks that held the Clintons in hi esteem, pre 2008.

Ha. That mention of assasination is unbelievable. even Obj should be proud he left it at do-or-die :(

Hmph..

Some of us also expressed our shock and disappointment ELSEWHERE.

This should be the last thing Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill get away with.

They have gotten away with adultery in the office Abe Lincoln once occupied.

They have gotten away with pardoning thieves and other felons in that land.

They have gotten away with bold faced lies of "not sleeping with that woman"

They have gotten away with venerating LBJ at the expense of the great MLK.

They have gotten away with reducing others' hope and dreams as "fairy tales"

They have gotten away with offering the leading candidate a Numero Dios post.

They have gotten away with insinuating that only "White America" works hard.

They have gotten away with injecting "sexism" in an historically elevating contest.

But at this time,

In this election,

At this "decisive moment in History",

The people shall recognize this to be their ultimate undoing - the very last straw.

The Black, the White, the Hispanic, the Asian, the Poor, the Rich et al shall unite.

And free themselves from the yoke of self-serving manipulation and deciet.

To claim their natural rights to a sound education, good health and honest leadership.

Amongst other divinely-endowed priiviledges of every hard-working man and woman.

So said the Oracle!

Auspicious.

Why do you bloody racists care so much about what Hilary says about Obama. I am sure if she made the same statements but her opponent was a white man, the issue will never have been raised in the Villagesquare.

You guys are racists and you know it or how do you explain this interest in Obama when most of you dont even know what the man is really about. You support is based on just one thing; the color of his skin.

Hillary Clinton's comment is due to her greedy, selfishness and envy. She is trying to show his frustration like a drowning man in the middle of ocean looking for what to grab. The comment has absolutely disqualified her from the race to the white house if her supporters can uphold the importance of natural justice and fair play.

The above statement is uncalled for. That most villagers condemn the statement credited to Hillary Cliton has nothing to do with racism at all because other white and African Americans also did likewise. Do you mean we should have saluted Hillary for making such weighty comment?

We now gain an insight into the reason Hillary refuses to throw in the towel: firstly, she and her husband are traumatized by the fact that American democrats prefer an African-American to a female Caucasian and wife of Bill Clinton. Secondly, Hillary recent statement about the June 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as reason for her decision to keep running for the Democratic presidential nomination is telling and indicates that she is hoping or wishing for an assassination of Obama to make way for her bid. And yet all one reads on the American news media is that, “Clinton regrets RFK assassination remark.”

Such undertone is inexcusable and she should be taken to task by the American media and not let off after an apology. I cannot imagine Obama getting away with similar comment: “typical white woman” was top of the news chart for weeks, and so was the use of “bitter”, not to mention Reverent Wright greatest hits videos.
