Fugitive As Governors In Nigeria? Dariye & Alamie!

Tragedy Of Looting Governor Alamieyesegha of Bayelsa

By Paul I. Adujie

Lawcareer@msn.com

New York, United States

Shocked and agitated are words that best described my feelings on learning that Alamie has escaped the claws and jaws of justice in London, as he is reported to have jumped bail in England. He has returned to Yenagoa where he lives to pretend that he is a cat with nine lives.

I hope Nigeria’s democracy is not undone by these sequence of unsavory events. These could be the harbingers of anarchy.

This is a tragic blow to the anti corruption efforts currently going on in Nigeria, it is, also a wake up call to Nigeria’s National Assembly to expunge, repeal or amend the immunity clause to change the present state of affairs, in which some public officials have turned the immunity clause to an impunity cloak and cover.

If anything is to be learnt from Alamie’s brazen escape from London and the bravado with which he has reportedly “resumed” his “authority as governor” of Bayelsa state, it is simply that, the provision in Nigeria’s constitution of 1999 regarding immunity, is now long overdue for amendment or complete repeal. I have made this call before! It bears repeating here again, Nigeria need to expunge the immunity clause which has become abused with impunity by public office holders.

http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/index.php/content/view/1676/55/

Additional lesson to be learnt, among many others, is that the war against corruption is primarily Nigeria’s war, albeit, with support, encouragement and cooperation from other nations and non-Nigerians worldwide.

Looting governor Alamie of Bayelsa state has offended every sense of decency known to humans, he has broken many more laws, local and international. He has by his singular criminal act of escape, from lawful restriction placed upon him by agencies of the British government, he has demonstrated that he is a reckless buffoon money launderer and now, a fugitive felon.

How did this man escape through the airspace of London and how did he enter the airspace of Nigeria? How did he procure travel documents? Who are his collaborators? Who connived and colluded with this looting governor to escape justice?

Nigeria’s National Assembly must immediately convene and converge to surgically remove the parts of section 308 of the constitution of Nigeria 1999, which is now a national and an international embarrassment of colossal and monumental proportions!

Brazen misconduct, criminal activities by governors must stop and their constitutional protections as embedded in the immunity clause must be removed. These gangsters must be compelled to obey the laws. They must face the consequences of their illegal acts!

Lawlessness by pubic office holders, particularly these looting governors must be stopped.

Another sick monkey.

Please go and advice the sick fat monkey in aso rock that laws hold nations together, not games and loud mouth and egos and comestic surgery.

Tell your fellow monkey to become a human being so that he can act like a human being capable of living under human laws.

Tell him that Americans prosecute their own criminal governors and presidents because Americans believe in their own laws and that no American is above the laws.

Tell Monkey OBJ to obey the rulings of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Remind the animal that he is yet to release the funds of Lagos State per Supreme Court.

"Monkeys do and monkeys say," so they say.

Before governors Dariye & Alamie, there was already anarchy in Nigeria, created and perpetuated by Obasanjo, a Yoruba man.

Bola Ige, the attorney general of Nigeria, a Yoruba man, was murdered. Where are your laws?

You now expect Britain to use their own laws to help you lawlessly prosecute your enemies.
What were you thinking they are? Were you thinking that the British society will behave as lawless and as stupid as your lawless God in Aso Rock?

Matrix in the mix

Dear countryless men and women: It is another Dark Day in Nigeria. Only in Nigeria. Shamelessness in a shameless society. that's all. Thiefs begot thiefs.

Fellow Nigerians if there is any thing called such. This is another dark and shameful day in Nigeria. This criminal escaped well publicized bail order in UK, return to Nigeria, shamelessly accepts, and returned to Governor's Mansion somewhere in Yonagoa, Bayelsa State? I am ashamed to be called a Nigerian. I prefer to be a Biafran. I can't believe this; am dump founded; I am uncontrollably in tears and shamed and refused to be consoled all together. Oronto Douglas should be ashamed of himself; once an aclaimed activist, and freedom fighter has lost all credibility if he had one before. I have always wondered about the so called activists and activism in Nigeria. I leave that topic for another day.

What a mess. We, Nigerians should be ashamed of ourselves and our country; ashamed that this is happening in 2005; ashamed that the so called anti-corruption-fraud commission is a comprehensive-multiple-charade; shame on this stupid laweless-country; shame on all of us; where is the outrage; where is our comfort; where is Godliness and human decency; where is pride and honor of a land; and they are dancing in the street waving white handkarthiefs; what manner of people are these? ; where is their dignity, honor and virtue. shame on anything Nigeria; I don't want to belong to this place anymore, i want out; count me out of this foolishness and hopelessness that has besieged her - count me out today. What a rubish. could it be that everybody is stealing and no one can say hey....

No wonder they say it is criminal to be lawful in a lawless society. But by the way, are you people serious that Obasanjo is opting for third term? you people are Kidding right!

Those that saw wind shall eventually reap wild-wind. if not in this world hopefully in the world to come. I am ashamed of my place of birth. ... please forgive me am ashamed it all.

I share your feelings, Paul. This was not an accident. Looters are to Nigeria what terrorists are to the whole world. If Alamie were a terror suspect, would he have escaped? Would this type of thing have happened in the U.S? Were Nigeria an Arab country, Mr Gozney would be pleading for his freedom (and life) by now. The British would not even try this type of thing to an Arab nation. Arab youths would have shut down The British High commission in Nigeria. When in the '79 Iran had this type of loot-recovery issue (Shah of Iran) Iranian Youths among other things held US diplomatic staff captive for days. That singular event cost President Carter his Presidency. One of those radicals is now President of that country. (Our own radicals only talk and some buy the lie that this is an Obasanjo issue) This is one issue Adams Oshiomole can call a million-man walk to British high Commission and the President would be glad to give him Police protection again. See how Britain tries to keep us down. In 1984, we (Buhari/Idiagbon) tried to recover loot by abducting our citizen Umaru Diko from Britain to face justice. They said (and I agree) that the means was unlawful. The issue was debated by the British Parliament which condemned our Govt. 2005 we adopt a lawful means they allow the suspect to escape! Our National Assembly ought to speak on the issue. The President ought also to condemn the unfriendly act(omission) and take diplomatic retaliatory action. (When in 1984 British Govt tried to detained our crew and aircraft used for the failed abduction Tunde Idiagbon(RIP) also detained their Aircraft) Money laundering is an international offence for which Governors enjoy immunity in Nigeria. This event has serious inplications even on the war on terror and Nigerians(and the international community) would be interested to know how the Nigerian Nation re-acts.(If we do nothing a precedent would have been set) To start, the Govt should recover our money from Britain i.e. the money and property purchased by Alams in Britain. Govt should prosecute all (non-immune)accomplices to the money laundering and the escape. The Anti- corruption law should be amended to create a special category for offences involving overseas jurisdictions. In particular, Nigerian Banks and other entities that facilitated these crimes should face the law.

Whoever wrote the above is a complete buffoon to be ignored.
In fact, I contend that he or she is a Yoruba fool.

First, where is the law in Nigeria under a Yoruba man?
Second, how many Southerners have been murdered in the hands of Obasanjo since 1999? When Northerners kill and kill and kill for their Sharia, Obasanjo did NOTHING.
When a Southerner utters one word of "radical new idea", Obasanjo musters enough courage to "shoot to kill" to his terrorist police and military forces.

We are not your fool my Yoruab idiot.
Cure your self-inflicted inferiority complex and self-hate before giving us advice about how to protest for you.

"THE PEOPLE OF BAYELSA ARE FOOOOOOOLS.
THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA ARE EVEN BIGGER FOOOOOLS."

The best thing written here in years.

They ARE FOOOOOOOLS.
We agree because:
The man stole them blind and left them poor.

You ARE BIGGER FOOOOOOOOOOLS.
We must agree too because:
Without your lawless King in power, the man would not steal with impunity.
Your King did not obey the laws when the laws were against him.
Your King murdered people in many occasions with no laws to imprison him.
Your King's relatives and friends are more corrupt than the governors.
Your King's culture has no effect on how he behaves and acts.
Your King is above the laws.
Your King is above the elders of your land.
Your King is above Shango and Oduduwa.

Face the truth and get a life!

More bests of the bests:

”I am wondering what we consider to be more important when issues are raised. Is it the language in which it is written or the message? Someone is raising serious issues and we are trivializing it by words such as, "the article is poorly written". Even the Queen of England whose language we have naturalized and placed above our languages can make mistake about her use of English, so why are we willing to cut Arisekola's head into pieces instead of discussing the issues he raised? We need to be serious. To me, when the head is rotten, it affects the whole body. That is exactly our problem in Nigeria. Obasanjo is a terrible leader, pure and simple. We need change in that country. We need to rescue Nigeria from the hands of these neo-colonial agents.”

“Yeye people. Them tell una say NVS na University? Na here una wan come grade articles? Na so una go dey chase rats when una house dey on fire. Yeye people.

With all the grammar wey una dey blow, na soldiers rule una for years. Una grammar no fit solve problems. Na grammar here grammar there. So so grammar una dey blow, Abacha wey no sabi grammar carry all una money go hide, una dey here dey blow grammar.

Useless reasonless blockheads. If really una sabi grammar and dey intelliegent, una for make out wetin the writer dey talk. No wonder Naija universities dey produce grammarians lacking in application of ideas.”
