This is how to go about it. This is better than a call for military intervention expoused by Balarabe Musa. When you have people on the street fervently calling for a change, the political class will have no choic, but succumb to that call. Because amon the people on the streets are their brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews etc. Calling for violence is just not acceptable.

What they are marching for is not clear from the picture.

What is clear however, is that they demand an apology. If an apology is the best they can demand for this sham of an elections, I think they better sit down at home and mind their kitchen duties.

An apology will be an insult for the tragedy that happened on 413 and 421. A total cancellation for a properly conducted elections minus Iwu would be a better demand.

I dont know about kitchen duties, what i know is that it takes a lot of courage to come out like they have done. It's not the first time in our country's history that women would come out to demand good governance, justice and fair play. I wish some of our men folk will do same rather than sit at home, wait for dinner to be served and then moan.

Mr. Mikky jaga,

Give these women some credit now, haba:biggrin:

Just imagine the fact that these full-fledged mamas woke up in the morning, wore mourning clothes (when pesin no die), abandoned the 1001 things they had to do and carried placards to demand an apology from the FG for insulting their sensibilities, yet you said they did not try.

Tell me, how many organized protest marches have we had since after the elections? Yet everyone is crying FOUL.

I commend these women wholeheartedly. As far as I know, this is the ONLY organized protest I've heard of despite all the noise condemning the disgrace of April. Then if you look at these women, they look comfortable enough not to care.

Apart from this ONE protest, there is only ONE formal lawsuit against the election - the one by FAyemi in Ekiti. Yet Nigerians would complain things are not getting better.

In 1959, Nigerians said, let sleeping dogs lie so that the British will go away.
In 1979, Nigerians said, let sleeping dogs lie so that the Military (OBJ) will go away.
In 1983, Nigerians said, let sleeping dogs lie so that the Military will not come back.
In 1993, Nigerians said, let sleeping dogs lie so that the Military will go away.
In 1999, Nigerians said, let sleeping dogs lie so that the Military will go away.
In 1979, Nigerians said, let sleeping dogs lie so that the Military will not come back (abi na go away sef).

So OBJ is right when he said we are experts in complaining. The Sleeping dog has been lying for 47 years - In fact I think its DEAD

Gbam! Gbam! Gbam! Gbam! Gbam! to these women. Please Mr. Jaga are they not better than millions who sit on the internet everyday at NVS to type and type and yet achieve nothing? Women in Nigeria whether in the Niger Delta doing sit in's or seizing oil installations or whether being tear gassed for daring to protest our unsafe skies after numerous plane crashes or even marching to protest one ill done to their community as a whole continue to be an open wound in the minds of our leaders. I think these women deserve praise for even daring to come out considering how OBJ and Ehindero have treated them in the past when they dared to protest anything in Nigeria. Afterall I guess they understand that their children will leave with the consequences of any actions of today.

I also don’t blame feminist who decide to ridicule men for doing nothing but condemning and blowing grammar all the time. While I don’t agree with articles like this one here, I can sometimes understand the frustrations of the writer when I read some of the opinions on threads like this who just criticize and condemn and do nothing more.
