Just plain stupid country, plain stupid president and absurdity of the highest level. How can any leader do this to its people?

Perhaps some of those smuggled dollars made it to the hand of this lawyer and now they a thumbing their nose in our face with our money. You wonder, where Obasanjo, who was acclaimed to be N20, 000 rich in 1999 got the money to hire a "global lawyer" to harass Nigerian citizens.

This is Saharareporters momemnt of glory and I am happy to identify with thier very effective style of journalism. At least it is yielding great results, finally the emperor os getting the message of ordinary Nigerians.

We should all pray for this corrupt president of ours to sue. Defense attorneys and the overall disporan Nigerian community would love to see Obasanjo deposed during the course of legal discovery.

Wouldn't it be great to ask Obasanjo questions about his wealth, his financial position pre-May 1999 and currently. I wager that he will blow up, given his uncouth manner, under good and tough lawyering questioning. I pray that some shister of an attorney takes this up and actually file a law suit.

Chest-beating bravado. LOL.

After reading the threat of Kunle Fagbenle, the alleged "Personal Legal Counsel on International Matters to President Olusegun Obasanjo" and the Settlement Agreement signed on behalf of Andy Uba on the underlying in rem court proceeding in which Uba gave up $26,000 in fine, I think Saharareporters and NVS are the ones who have a better and stronger lawsuit against OBJ's representatives for the threats.

All lawyers know that a court settlement is not an exoneration. If Uba and his girlfriend wanted an exoneration, they should have insisted on a trial. From now until the end of time, protected by the First Amendment to the United States' Constitution, journalists may characterize, analyse, dissect, report, opine, as they wish, on the case and the reason behind the Settlement. If truth (which is the sole defense to defamation) is what OBJ, Uba and his girlfriend wanted to establish, they should have gone to trial and demanded that the U.S. governemnt produce the evidence against them. Too late now. If I were NVS and Saharareporters, I would plead, beg, implore, urge OBJ and his lawyers to please FILE THE LAWSUIT so that NVS can file a countersuit. LOL

OBJ must be hopping mad at Sowore; first, it was Sowore who got his son, Gbenga, to seriously 'embarrass' him, with his uterrances. Now, the same Sowore has stung him again, with the revelation of sleaze, occuring right up the Presidential Ar*ehole.

If, I were Sowore, I'd feel ten feet tall, right now. It's no mean feat to get a 'whole president' to react personally to a damaging publication, through his lawyer.

This will be one trial I would almost give my right hand to participate in.

Great thanks for doing your generation proud. I see, if you were in Nigeria you will possibly be before some High Court judge answering to 'sedition' charges for embarrasing the embarrasing president of Nigeria.

It is not easy to get a president who otherwise doesn't read newspapers to read internet stories, the message is getting where it needs to go and I must congratulate you for your bravery and unwavering consistency as an activist and now a "roadside journalist".

You have delivered on your promise to hold Mr. President responsible for his corrupt actions. Thank you so much, I am really proud of your work and you have never disappointed me and your numerous other fans.

This is a joke right? It’s got to be a joke.... I mean common, I don't think that Baba Iyabo himself is that stupid to think he can stifle the freedom of speech, personal expression and opinions of people that are not in his country; let alone on the internet..... Please tell me this man and his mumu lawyer are not that stupid. Common, even the "Decider" in Washington, the number one stupid man George W Bush himself is not that stupid.....

I am shaking in my boots oooooo! Oh I am so scareeeeeeed ooooo. I don't think I will be able to sleep or eat again because the ruthless original baba commander-in-thug himself in Aso Rock does not like what is been said about him on some websites.

I can understand his point if malicious and untrue lies are been told about him... you know lies like he does not tolerate any opinion that differs from his or asking him to explain how a farm that was near bankruptcy suddenly became a cash cow or like he does not have any kind of hand in what is going on in Anambra, Oyo and many other states or saying he is the godfather for the Uba family and Lamidi Adedibu. May be something like the fact that he is running one of the most corrupt government (second to IBB) in Nigeria's history or may be the fact that he does not tolerate any dissenting opinion, or he vindictively goes after his fellow thieves in command because they denied him the third term bid attempt or the fact that he is morally corrupt and in-efficient...et all. If he was angry about such things I would say yes go to court get some redress

Are you guys sure OBJ does not suffer from dimentia? What is this International lawyer of his saying? Anyway, I no blame the bobo, afterall im need to justify all the international currency wey Baba dey pay am. If OBJ thinks he can muscle and wriggle his way out of this one, then he's seriously delusional. Again I repeat, (This is not in anyway to condone corruption) but IF THE ONLY THING OBJ and his like have against Atiku is the PTDF scam, then Atiku is not the poster boy of corruption for this administration as we were all made to believe. The Baba ke is the real deal as it is turning out.
Poor OBJ, he must be in a dilema and ask himself this everyday: which fool can I install as president so that he would cover my numerous misdeeds in office? who can I trust? My guess knowing the average Naija politician with re to power? NOBODY!
The irony of it all is that Atiku would have been his best bet if he was looking to cover his tracks cos he is not vindictive. God is gtreat o! We may have been saved an Atiku presidency by default of their feud and in the end all these unqualified candidates may cancel each other and a clean dark horse will truly emerge.
