It’s not everyday one gets the opportunity to say thank you, or to send felicitations to people they have come to admire. Time they say is the enemy of the idle, but sometimes I beg to disagree because even busy bees can feel the adverse effect of time. However I felt it necessary and indeed obligatory to take time out to send a big shout to our own very BIG K whose birthday is today. We all on NVS, either as lurkers, JJC’s or villagers, have come to consider the village square home. Many have forged strong bonds of friendship and camaraderie. Many have found a way to share the joys and pains of living with their fellow villagers. Others have simply come to vent their frustrations and be consoled, and yet others, to laugh and be laughed at. It is then fitting that the one who has made that feat possible receives a number of felicitations and goodwill on this auspicious day. My mum, ever the prayer warrior has taken the liberty of saying a short prayer and the popular Irish prayer of blessing for you, and she is making me type it out for you. She says no apologies to non-believers!!!

MUM’S PRAYER

May the God Lord bless you.  Amen

May his mercy and Love shine upon you. Amen

May he increase you wisdom a thousand fold. Amen

Henceforth God’s magnificence shall set forth upon you

His glory your story and his presence your essence.

May you live to see a grand Old life. AAAAaaaaaaaammmmmmmmeeeeeeeeennnnnnnn
