Many terrible things have been hapenning in parts of Nigeria in recent times. Fayose's is a tip of the iceberg. Yet this is the most civilised (so some claim) sub-people in the world.

PM NEWS

How Fayose Used Pregnant Woman For Ritual: Jujuman Arrested: IG Summons Governor

An ex-special adviser to Governor Ayo Fayose has been arrested over a case of an alleged kidnap of a pregnant woman for ritual. The politician identified as Prince Segun Bamiteko was arrested over the weekend in Ado Ekiti after a three-week hunt for him by police detectives from Abuja.

According to police sources in Ado Ekiti, Bamiteko, a Prince of Igogo Ekiti was the leader of a team that kidnapped a pregnant woman at Shasha in Ibadan, in 2003 and allegedly took her to Gov. Ayo Fayose’s house in Ado Ekiti, killed her and obtained the fluid from her womb for ritual purposes. Our sources stated that the police may have also arrested a juju man who requested for the fluid for the purpose of preparing some concoctions allegedly for the governor.

The juju man, according to a source, is based in a village called Ora in Kwara State. Prince Bamiteko, according to police sources, is said to have made useful statement to the police and named all the people involved, including Governor Fayose and where the remains of the woman were buried. The fluid from the kidnapped woman’s womb was said to have been used in preparing a concoction, which they sprinkle on the water which Fayose provided for the people of the state with water tankers shortly before the 2003 elections.

Fayose and Bamiteko were said to have parted ways after they quarrelled about six months ago. The governor sacked him as special adviser on local government. Uneducated and with alleged criminal tendencies, many people in the state were said to have been stupefied when Bamiteko was given the top job. On leaving government, he was said to have gone to town telling whoever cared to listen that he was going to let the world know what he and the governor had done together in secret.

Two months ago assassins were said to have attempted twice to kill him and he escaped on the two occasions by the whiskers. This morning police sources said Bamiteko has been moved from the police headquarters in Ado Ekiti to Abuja for further interrogations. When P.M.NEWS called the Police Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Haz Iwendi, to confirm the arrest, he declined to pick his calls after several attempts.

Meanwhile, six young men of Ekiti origin who are members of Ekiti government killer squad have been arrested. Among them is the driver to the leader of a PDP chieftain in Ekiti and also a member of the PDP Board of Trustees. The young men who are identified as Odunayo Adeomi, Francis Ariwajoye (alias Kokoori), Abegunde Femi, Dele Ogunleye, Niyi Adedipe and Ajayi, alias Egbo, were arrested about three weeks ago by the SSS following a tip-off.

In the course of their interrogation they were said to have confessed to being members of the killer squad who were sent last year to go and kill the then chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government Council, Mr. Taiye Fasuba. They were also said to have made useful statements on the murder of Dr. Ayo Daramola, a PDP governorship aspirant in Ekiti. The SSS was said to have kept their arrest and interrogation away from the police until the investigation was concluded and each of the suspects video taped while making confessional statements.

Last Friday, all the suspects and all the evidences gathered by the SSS were said to have been handed over to the Inspector General of Police for prosecution. The police, as part of the investigation, have equally arrested the Chief Security Officer to Fayose, Mr. Gbenga Joseph and he is presently being detained in a police station in Abuja. Source at the police headquarters in Abuja this morning informed our reporter that the governor has been invited to Abuja today to come and react to the allegations made against him by those so far interrogated on the murders in Ekiti.

These include his Chief Media Adviser, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, who alleged it was the governor who instructed him to go and publish in the media that some people were planning to kill a top politician. And a few hours after newspapers went to town, Daramola was murdered in his country home at Ijan-Ekiti. A foremost traditional ruler in Yorubaland and some top PDP politician, we learnt, were yesterday recruited by Fayose to follow him to see the IG today in Abuja.

Dear AfroCynic, Villagers:

I have followed your posts here on NVS for a while..and I am saying I read/hear you LOUD and CLEAR.

That accident of a Gomina called Fayose - that buffoon who used to come to your (AfroCynic's) father's house in the UK and finish a bottle of Hennessey in a sitting, has finally met his Waterloo in Ekiti. He messed with the wrong people, with the wrong State and with the wrong destiny. What he truly deserves is a barbaric and vicious public beating of insurmountable proportions..but because the land has some semblance of civility, law and order in it, he just might be spared all that.

Like I said, he messed with the wrong people! The Ekiti people have a powerful 'ori' - "strong head" - if you get what I mean. 'Strong head' in that, the will of the people of Ekiti, as with the larger Nigerian society, or good people everywhere, is a powerful one; such that messing with their destiny is like an invitation to curse upon curse on ones head. By the time the curse upon Fayose and his gang of evildoers begin to truly manifest, people do not know what he did will wonder why he and his family and friends deserve the kind of great retribution that will come his way.

So sayeth Auspicious the Soothsayer.

Meanwhile, let Villagers who know this Sunny Ade song join me in singing (or humming under your breadth at work):

Ja fun mi!

Owangoloto..Golontonkowa!

Ori mi yee - ja, ja, ja..ja fun mi!
Eda mi yee o - ja, ja, ja..ja fun mi!

Ori me yee - jaa...ja fun mi!
Eda mi yee o - jaa..ja fun mi!

N'tori..
Ori Agberin a ja fun Agbei!
Ori Aluko ja fun o!
Ori Agberin a ja fun Agbe!
Ori Aluko a ja fun o!
Ele'da mama gbagbe mi, o ba mama ja o!

(Soul Sista, TechSista, VOR, EMJ..where una dey?!!!)

And the beat goes on! That was one of his most meaningful songs. For ye non-Yoruba speaking Villagers, Sunny Ade was invoking his name/head/destiny/person/spirit/God to be there for him - to "fight for me"( to "ja fun mi!"). Today, the human spirit of Ekitifolks has began to manifest; their "ori" is fighting for them. Nothing in this world can defeat the human spirit. It can move mountains..it can destroy tyranny..and, as you all are witnessing, it can bring about an end to the reign of an arrogant and irresponsible leader like Fayose - just like it did with Dipreye Alamiesheigha and Sanni 'Kapitani' Abacha.

May the WILL of the PEOPLE continue to prevail everywhere! Amin, Ase Edumare!

Auspicious.
