VP Jonathan Declares Assets   

Vice President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, this morning bowed to pressures and declared his assets publicly. According to the vice president, who declared that he is worth N259 million, he was doing that to douse the tension generated by his non-public declaration.

Besides the cash declared, his landed property are in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa State and Gwarimpa, Abuja. He was, however, silent on his house in the village.

The asset declaration form which was made available to state house correspondents in Abuja stated that the assets were exclusive of his immediate family, that is, the assets did not include those of his wife and children.
