Report and Images from Sweden
by Adeola Aderounmu

Only 5 Nigerians, 1 Zimbabwean and 1 Kenyan Lady joined the protest. The Police were out full force. They had 2 helicopters in the air and many patrol vehicles.

Only 7 of us followed the Police car that was provided. The Police were ready to do more but we made their job easy.

Today, Nigerians in Sweden failed to seize a golden opportunity to let the Glory of Nigeria come. I sent out 3 sms in the last 1 week to over 70 contacts. That is more than 210 messages in all.

Everyone went to work, they could not sacrifice a day off work.

I was close to tears as I took the train back home. What a wasted opportunity!!!

However, with the other 4 Nigerians, Iriemenam Emeka, Peter, Sola Balogun, Henry AND our unexpected but welcome friends from Kenya and Zimbabwe, the ULTIMATE JOB of delivering the letter was done.

We marched for about 40 minutes on the streets of Stockholm. It was a honour for me to show this respect to Osamuyia.

I read LOUD AND CLEAR and delivered the letter to Ms ELENA SANCHEZ. I have the stamped copy with me.

I told her we will meet in court soon if the Spanish govt did not take steps to meet the demands as stated in the letter.

We have a video recording and I will see how that an get online later.

Some pictures are here, I will attach more in other subsequent emails..

May the Glory of Nigeria come, soon!

Please , please , please do not be discouraged. I m so unbelievably proud of all you people who had the courage to not only organise this but to march . In my eyes you are a warriors, in gods eyes you are angels. It is not about numbers it is about what lies in your heart, and I for one am truly grateful for your efforts and am impressed.

It is not quantity that matters but quality; you have left an indelible record for both the Swedish and Spanish government to contend with. Nigerians are like that, I sent out about 35 emails to Nigerians to sign for the protest letters on NVS only one of them in Denmark did. I know they would have signed if I had forwarded the junk about Bill gate rewarding whoever forwarded Microsoft chain of emails.

The nose went hysterical with laughter as the eyes shed tears not knowing that it’s only a matter of time before it begins to drip uncontrollably too

Adeola & team,

You have not only honored Aikpitanhi, you have also honored Nigeria, Africa and God.

You will not lose your reward.

Thank you very much!

Please do not be discouraged. Nigerian are fully behind you all in spirit even though some of us canot be there. We need more initiatives like these to let people realise that our country is no push over and that what affects one of us affects all of us collectively.

Big up and may God continue to streghten you all.
