Note to Femi Falana during the town hall meeting with Nigerians in Chicago
A Mans Thought Mr. Femi Falana sir, it is with utmost sincerity that I welcome you to my adopted country of United States of America and to the great city of Chicago all of which are where things work most of the time. Its nice to see you hale and hearty, we thank God. Please excuse my lack of formality as this is impromptu. I didnt want to chance anything in case I was not given the forum/time to let out my feelings. Moreover, I did not want to omit any vital feelings with oral presentation hence this. This you may call my plan B. And thus I go. Nigerians are, how does the Yoruba say it, Oserious/unserious! The same campers screeching too loud are usually the ones doling out $100 or more to have dinner with compromised politicians such as: Achike Udenwa Imo; Bola Tinubu Lagos; Orji Kamalu Abia and all. How does one reconcile this obvious discrepancy without noticing the impropriety that looms large? Part of my tweak is the memory of Lagos (Eko) as truly the Center for Excellence, but today is the center for unruliness in all aspects wastes, corruption, intolerance so on. Also, in my home state, Imo for example, their slogan Land of Hope, pushes me to ask what theyre hoping for, for Jesus or Mohammed to come again? If so they had better grab a chair and wait or take the bull by the horns or tooth like I care, to provide amenities for the common mans benefit and quit the hope nonsense. This is where it gets dicey, the audience being jolted to know that as someone who relocated to that dungeon during Abachas tyranny, that the most annoying and insane of things Obasanjo is not his unquenchable meanness towards the Igbo, not at all. Instead his silly summersault to romance all the noisemakers; Anenih, Maduekwe, Gana and many others comes to mind. All of which insisted that the wicked dictator should forever lord it over Nigerians against the backdrop of those; Chief Gani, Prof Soyinka, Mr. Falana, Dr. Ekwueme and the dearly departed Dr Beko and host of others come to fore but are today considered enemies by this man despite the unimpeachable fact that it was their unmitigated effort and not the formers who staked their lives screaming for his freedom at a greater peril to themselves and their families. Yet today are his leprous enemies? How ironic! Was the bravery of these men not what caused Abacha to engage in his new unsavory hobby which eventually precipitated his exit from mother earth? The truth is after the man died, for real, I thought well never see anything of such again, man, was I wrong! Here is the catch, to have allowed ourselves to be lumped together with elements we do not share anything in common that only see the country as game to be skinned bare is to say the least primitive. Therefore, I am of the strong opinion that the only way out of the jam is total split or some sort of confederacy after a compilation of legit constitutional document by sound civilian minds not the present Arab/Fulani militia engineered counterfeit that allows a village in the north to have more local governments than the metropolitan Lagos! This bogus document that gives caterblanche to all the useless governors to rob their fellow citizens naked must be expunged. Ki ni ode? And if I may ask, was it not their brother Jack Gowon who in 1967 said there was no basis for One-Nigeria, which was also soundly summed by Pa Awo as a mere geographic expression? Make man stop here before one looses his mind and go ghetto. Now my question: IF THE FORCED ORIGIN OF THAT CORRUPTION FACTORY PEOPLE ASSUME IS A COUNTRY IS NOT BIRTHED IN STONE, WHY CANT WE THEN JUST DEMARCATE IT OR IS ITS CREATION DIVINE AND NOT THE EXPERIMENTATION OF THE CUNNING BRITISH ANY LONGER? Thank you very kindly for coming, thank you also for your dedication towards legitimate freedom for all common people and most importantly, thank you for your endurance in the hands of the oppressors. Wishing Gods journey mercies to you as you return to that geographic expression. Nduwueze 3rd. (Common Sense Advocate) Tell me one thing good about the accident you call nigeria then my case rests. BIAFRA: If not now, when? Embrace this alternative if you crave democracy.
