Yep! The Hallucinating Professor Was Right Print E-mail

Although the article titled “the hallucinating professor” which claimed Professor Pat Okedinachi Utomi (the only politician with practical issues and solutions) referred to Nigerians as stupid was mischievously quoted out of context by an obviously malicious author, the facts have been sufficiently established that Nigerians are not just stupid, but downright dumb, ignorant and uncivilised.

If Nigerians are not stupid, why is it that at independence those who opposed independence where those who took up leadership of an independent nation they had hitherto opposed?

If Nigerians are not stupid, why is it that since independence, only selected unwilling misfits have been ruling, as against eminently prepared and qualified candidates?

If Nigerians are not stupid, why is it that human corpses litter the streets in this day and age, and nobody, not even the hallowed press deems it fit to comment on such barbarity in the 21st century?

If Nigerians are not stupid, why is it that they choose their leaders on tribal grounds rather than choose a leader who will perform for the common good of all?

If Nigerians are not stupid, why should someone like Yar’ Adua even be a presidential candidate, when there are star achievers like Donald Duke, Chukwuma Soludo, El Rufai, and Dora Akunyili?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come things as simple, basic and essential as electricity, pipe borne water, healthcare, and quality education are non existent?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come the Police kill innocent people on a daily basis with impunity for 20naira and nobody raises an eyebrow?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come they cannot organize something as simple and logical as a sovereign national conference to chart the way for a progressive, mutually beneficial and harmonious nation?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come they have chosen progressive chaos, to law and order since independence?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come fellow Nigerians are routinely slaughtered like chicken in the North on the flimsiest pretext and nobody get’s punished?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come we have all the natural resources and manpower to be one of the richest nations on earth, yet we are so poor?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come we are the 6th largest producers of crude oil, yet petrol is imported and we don’t have enough for the local consumption of our people?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come our soil is the most fertile on earth, yet our people are dying of hunger?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come our soil is loaded with freshwater just beneath the surface, yet there is no drinking water for our people?

If Nigerians are not stupid, how come something as simple as a census or elections cannot be conducted successfully?

Finally if Nigerians are not stupid, why should any of them vote for the same PDP that has taken us through so much blood, toil, tears and sweat since 8 years?

Conclusions:

Many have sought to justify Nigeria ’s inexcusable woes by claiming that Nigeria is a young nation, but other young nations such as Ghana , India , Botswana , Malaysia and South Africa amongst others that very recently emerged from Apartheid white rule are successful nations in all ramifications.

Justifying Nigeria on the basis of youthfulness is therefore an obvious non starter. Besides there is no guarantee that Nigeria can get it right in the future if she can’t get it right now given her penchant for progressive decline. Haiti has had almost 200 years of independence yet she remains one of the poorest and dysfunctional nations in the world, so also is Ethiopia which was never colonised yet remains in economic and political quagmire.

Nigeria could in 100 years (assuming she survives that long) be so much worse than what presently obtains. The priority should therefore be to quit making bogus excuses and work to get it right now or risk a bleak, impoverished, conflict prone and uncertain future.

We must reflect and face the sober reality that, while it is true that not all Nigerians are stupid, the consistent pattern of progressive decline in every facet of national life has to a large extent indicted all of us without exception. There is simply no excuse outside crass stupidity and what some would prefer to call the inferiority of the Blackman for our predicament.

Nigeria as the most populous black nation has turned out a shame and disgrace to all black men and women the world over, as our failings have largely vindicated all those racists and otherwise who have long held the Blackman in contempt.Let us first accept that we all have been collectively stupid, only then can we be able to reappraise our situation objectively and seek to make changes. If we get it right, Nigeria can still be a compassionate, harmonious and tremendously rich melting pot.

All Nigerians who voted for the PDP (party of knaves) after inflicting so much pains on Nigeria; all those who voted for AC in Lagos after proven inefficiency of Tinubu; all those who voted for PPA (Kalu's party) after all those heaps of garbage in Aba, are all stupid. This means that all those who voted in the manner that INEC has announced are indeed stupid. However, the people may not be stupid afterall since the elections have been clearly rigged. But their stupidity might yet be confirmed if they fail to fight the rigging using all appropriate means available.
Voters in Ekiti should have voted for Kayode Fayemi. Voters in Oyo should not have voted for Adedibu after all he did against the good people of that state. People in Abia should have voted for Onyema Ugochukwu irrespective of his party (PDP); Lagosians should have voted for Jimi Agbaje based on his merit. Voters from other states should have voted for their best meriting candidates.

Finally, Nigerians should have voted for Utomi. But alas the Nigerian voting public are so stupid and short-memoried that they do not know what is good for them. So why blame Prof. Utomi for describing them as such?

Yea! That's amongst the very few interestine write-ups I've ever read here. I think the sooner we started owning up to the fact that all is not well with us, the better for us as a people.
Who ever said that ALL NIGERIANS ARE NOT MORE THAN STUPID? I doubt that Professor Utomi ever said that. But if he did, so what?
Yar Adua is going to win of course, and Iyabo Obasanjo has been penciled down to be the next ssenate president, after eight years IBB or Abdusalami or even Iyabo will take over from him(call me names,it's ok by me).

I dont think I have something to add to what that writer has written. But just to say that even most of those we are refering to as statesmen or whatever, they are all cowards and nothing more. As long their source of income is not under threat, they just make noice and that's all. I have been watching them, but more on that later.

Last Saturday it became clear that OBJ and the PDP had no intention of conducting an election. Likewise, serious people have decided to relieve them of the burden. Whatever they do tomorrow will be reversed within 6 months. Now everyone will see who the stupid Nigerians are. Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

THESE ELECTIONS WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED TO STAND! PERIOD. NO MATTER THE COST!

Now, the fellow who goes by the pseudonym "Dr. S. Adetunji" can say what he said and get away with it. Even the author of this piece can say Nigerians are mo-rons and get away with it. And they have the right to say so too!

But guess what? Even though he has a right to an opinion, an aspiring public official or a politician cannot afford to do the same thing - and it does not have anything to do with his ability to win or loose an election. It is just a careless thing for a politician to do.

Utomi is a good man and some of us still like him regardless.

Auspicious.

One Folabi called everyone to the Eagle Square during Matthew Luther Kings birthday that highlights "I have a dream". We did nothing with that clarion call. Today the result shows how dumb we are. Tomorrow, if we do nothing to eradicate these leeches we will be proving how dead we are.

Auspicious,

Could you quit this childish game and say instead, if what the author enumerated are not valid points?
