When a nation is up in battle against a people who have no value for human life, they should be given a maximum dose of the violence they love to inflict on others measure for measure. As Israel wages this decisive battle against ideological brutes and forces of darkness, all men of goodwill should pray for the nation of Israel to prevail. Israel is engaged in battle against a group of genocidal religious extremists who neither believes in dialogue, nor have any value for human life. All over the world the same Islamic ideologues are bent on wiping out those they perceive as infidels. In India recently an Islamic group whose mission is to turn India into an Islamic state set off a series of bombs in a train killing almost 300 people. In Sudan an Arab Islamic fundamentalist regime is engaged in an ongoing genocide against the black Sudanese population. At the last count close to 1 million black Sudanese have been killed by the Arab Janjaweed militia backed by the murderous Sudanese government. Back home in Nigeria, we are all familiar with the frequent unconscionable massacres of Christians by the same group of subhuman ideological fanatics, who pounce on Christians at the slightest pretext, the last and most recent being because of a cartoon published in faraway Denmark. These Northern Nigerian fundamentalists are lucky Biafra was not actualised in the 60’s; they would have been getting exactly the same treatment from the Biafrans that Israel is currently giving to the Arabs. Against this backdrop, I want to use this opportunity to thank the United States of America, the European Union, Ndigbo, and all men of goodwill for the unflinching support they have continued to give our beloved nation of Israel. I am especially gladdened by the news that Igbo youths have volunteered to go and fight to defend the nation of Israel. There are certain points that we need to note in pondering and seeking to understand why the massive force being employed by the state of Israel is justified. Hezbollah was the first to launch unprovoked attacks against the state of Israel, and Israel is only exercising their legitimate right to self defence. Hezbollah should have known that nobody has a monopoly over violence. Indeed those who dont go out to kill others, are exercising such restraint, not because they dont have the capacity to kill, but because of a higher level of civilisation, and a sacrosanct value for human life. However when unprovoked attacks are launched against even the most civilised folks, they will have no choice but to strike back, and as we have witnessed Israel does indeed have a vastly superior killing power. Moving on from here, I suggest Israel should widen the scope of attacks to capture or kill Hezbollah fundamentalists and destroy their strongholds. An increasingly massive, relentless and sustained “Blitzkrieg” should be employed as troops advance in systematic enveloping flanks from 4 or 5 strategic axis into Southern Lebanese Hezbollah strongholds, backed by a combination of air strikes, self propelled multi barrelled artillery guns, and Tank shells. Cluster bombs and bunker destroyers should also be employed to destroy dug in Hezbollah bunkers. Saturation bombing and scorched earth policy should be employed to the maximum in order to achieve the “shock and awe” effect. Willy nilly the resolve of Hezbollah faced by such overwhelming pounding will crash predictably in a few days bringing them to total defeat. God bless and protect Israel. Lessons For Nigeria Christians and Southern Nigerians must get ready to defend their religion and civilisation by preparing to do what the Israeli’s are currently doing. Here in Nigeria we are also confronted with religious zealots, and Stone Age barbarians who do not have the ability to reason. For this group of subhuman brutes, human life is worth probably less than that of a chicken. It is foolhardy to assume that they will become civilised overnight and stop the killing of Christians. We can only hope to put a final stop to such killings if we employ the same tactics that Israel has sufficiently employed, which most honestly is the only language such brutes understand and respect. We must prepare to defend our values, our civilisation and above all the dignity of man!
