Iyinayọ sang the chorus again and Madam Eriokan’s pastor came over. He had everyone stand up and pray for her. When all was finished I gave the microphone to Iyinayọ to introduce themselves and I then said:

Tọ ba bere pe talo k’ewi (If they ask who recited the poem).

Tẹ ba fẹ mọ eni ti Ẹmi mimọ lo lati jiṣẹ Rẹ (If you want to know the person whom the Holy Spirit used to deliver His message).

Kẹ lemi ni, Derbrah Adeṣọla, ọmọ Yud-He-Vav-He* (Say that it’s me, Derbrah Adeṣọla, child of Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh).

Derbrah ti awọn Ju npe ni Divora (Derbrah, that the Jews call D’vorah)

Adeṣọla tiun polongo ore-ọfẹ** Jesu Kristi, (Crown made wealth that markets the grace of Jesus Christ).

AdeYesuaMesaya ṣọlaninu ayemi (The crown of Yeshua Messiah has created wealth in my life).

Ọmọ ti ẹjẹ Jesu ra pada (The child that the blood of Jesus redeemed).

Mo ṣeba fun Baba, Ọmo ati Ẹmi Mimọ (I give tribute to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

Making the “oṣuba” (honor) sign, I concluded, Ẹṣe Ẹlohim tẹ gba’ba wa, aa yin Yin, aa gbe Yin ga (Thank You Elohim for receiving our tribute We praise You, we lift You up). After that the audience gave a resounding ovation and we all returned to our seats.

Feyi announced an intermission before the all night dance session began so I beckoned to Igbala that it was home time. She left to use the bathroom while I fellowshipped with friends and many who came to affirm my presentation. Jibafẹ took me to madam Eriọkan who showered me with love. She also introduced Igbala to her. As we left to my car Jibafẹ muttered that she was feeling whoozy again. Igbala shook her head and said, “I think you’re pregnant, I saw you with a baby.” Jibafẹ stopped in her tracks and gasped, “Of course, that explains it.” She said her goodbyes and ran to Jagun.

In the car I mentioned to Igbala that I bet Jibafe would stop to buy a pregnancy test on her way home. After dropping Igbala off I glanced at my watch, it was almost midnight, it’s been a long day but I had enjoyed it.

* There is no letter “v” in Yoruba alphabets however, in order to properly pronounce and translate Hebrew words directly, especially the Tetragrammaton, the letter “v” is used, Yoruba language too has “evolved” like other languages.

** There is no Yoruba word for grace hence the use of ore-ọfẹ which really means free gift.
