Ibru’s Family To Sanusi:

You’ll Quit CBN in Shame

After a six hour meeting with clan heads and elders in Ovwor-Olomu, Delta State, top members of the Ibru maternal family, Sunday invoked the spirit of their ancestors by placing curses on the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mr Sanusi Lamido.

Spokesman of the Osajere family(maternal family of Olorogun Michael Ibru), Olorogun John Oguma confirmed the outcome of the meeting to journalists in Ughelli, saying the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mr Sanusi Lamido and his co-travellers would not end well should they fail to reverse the decision of the apex bank on Mrs Ibru.

Sanusi, Oguma emphasized, would bow out of the apex bank in shame and be compelled by his misdeeds to run out of the country like Ribadu and El-Rufai.

The most easily manipulated reason for the dismissal of Mrs Ibru is to connect it with non-performing loans. But deeper reflections, according to Oguma, render such explanations irresponsible.

‘It is an attempt by the criminals to defend the indefensible’.

Oguma said that Sanusi’s agenda since he came into office has been punctuated and laced with religious and ethnic agenda, particularly his hypocritical bid to introduce Islamic financial services in the country and to make Northerners hijack the banking sector.

‘As a matter of fact, deducing Ibru’s dismissal from bank loans raises enormous doubts in the minds of all sincere Nigerians and by implications questions the credibility of Sanusi and his cohorts’. Sanusi was quoted as saying that the injection of N420 billion into the five affected banks is neither equity nor a bail out by government but a normal central banking function of lender of last resort to the banks. This, Oguma said, is a trick to steal the banks from the owners and sell them to some selected Nigerians from the North.

To avoid the wrath of the ancestors, Oguma advised Sanusi and his co-travellers to release Mrs Ibru, reinstate her as the managing director of Oceanic Bank and give the bank time to recover the loans.

He also urged the CBN governor and the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs Farida Waziri to apologize to her and the family within seven days.

The family had earlier declared that the ongoing reform by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is aimed at stealing Oceanic bank from the owners.

They also described the actions of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), particularly the maltreatment of Mrs Ibru by security agents as an insult to the marital laws of Urhobo land.

‘We are not happy. Sanusi and his co-travellers want to steal Oceanic bank from the owners. With the N420 billion, those behind the evil agenda would not only have majority shares in the banks but appoint their cronies in the boards and management of these banks.

They accused Sanusi of pursuing an agenda to destroy the economic and political base of major players in the Niger Delta ahead of the 2011 general elections.

Insisting that the ongoing reforms is a Northern agenda, the family said under the supervision of ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, Malam Nuhu Ribadu and El- Rufai’s made serious attempts to pull down Niger Delta leaders.

‘The greatest enemy of the Niger Delta people and current minister of petroleum, Rilwanu Lukman retired southerners in NNPC, replaced them with Northerners and gave them all the juicy positions. A reasonable Sansui should have given the banks ultimatum to recover their debts and change management in a democratic way by the shareholders, but he went ahead with his selfish agenda to sack the managing directors and board of directors and replaced with figureheads’

They said sanusi and his co-travellers would throw the banking sector into deep crisis that will spell much doom for the Nigerian State.

‘It is not easy to start a business and nurture it to the level Ibru did. Nigerians know the strength of Oceanic bank. Courtesy of Ibru, the bank is worth N5 trillion today. At no time did CBN complain of financial recklessness to the board before sacking the chief executive officers, others. She has done nothing abnormal to be poorly treated by Sanusi, Farida and others.’

‘Even in the US, where the crisis started, the CEOs of Citi Bank of America, Merry Lynch, AIG and others are not being arrested or declared wanted.’

While blaming the apex bank for hastiness when it has not thoroughly examined the books of all the banks in the country, they challenged Sanusi to publish the status of First Bank, UBA, Unity Bank, GT Bank, Bank PHB, FCMB and other banks.

They also promised to resist the action of CBN.

John Oguma and the primitive clan he represented should be ashamed of themselves as he dished out such useless rubbish because rouge Cecilia Ibru was uprooted from her post.
The clan and their thieving daughter is the one to apologise to the people of Nigeria for the illegal activities of Cecilia.
Let the Olorogun clan also be told that Ribadu was never disgraced nor left the office in shame.Anyone in his/her right mind should by now know while Ribadu was forced out of office.
Ribadu was forced out when he was bent on prosecuting treasury looters and rogue former Governors. The name of your Delta State son and ex governor Ibori was in that list of crooks.
Ribadu is not ashamed of himself and his activities, instead it is those that forced him out and for those he was forced out that should be ashamed of themselves today.
It is also on record that there was no one prosecuted by Ribadu who was not guilty as charged.
Cecilia your daughter on her own part did so many things wrong and so she deserved what she got.Are you people in Olorogun clan then saying that it was wrong of Sanusi not to keep Cecilia therein so as to continue her illegal activities? Olorogun must then be seen as a thieving clan.
Lastly, let it be known to you this day, that heaven will not fall neither will your so called ancestors do anything because a guilty person who happens to be your daughter was removed from office. Shame on Olorogun clan!

I hope Ibrus and their ilk of a family continue to dig themselves into a hole because they are going to get what they are clamoring for. They are not the only rogue that has been disgraced in Nigeria, so what makes them think that they are s sacred cow?

Thunder fire all of them!

Is this a joke of the 21st century, that the ancestors of the Ibru maternal family invoking a curse on Lamido Sanusi. Olorogun John Oguma whatever you call yourself  you should be ashamed of yourself. If Cecila Ibru is not gulity then the Lord or ancestors will deliver her. It seems Olorogun John Oguma and the Ibru family have not learnt their lesson and should seek more assistance and advice from their ancestors or God to show them the way.

Hogwash wrapped in Horse Manure!:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:: sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick:

Could the Ibru family actually have authorized this nonsense here?

The only way to interpret this Ibru family crap, is to say congratulations to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.... his policy is biting harder than those feeble mosquitoes at the EFCC detention center which nibbled on Mrs. Maiden Ibru.

Mallam Sanusi, keep up the excellent job!

What do you expect John Oguma to say….I will say the same myself…now we don’t want him to loss his meal ticket. After they invoke their ancestral spirit…then madam Ibru will go to church for the babalawo’s in pastoral garment to pray for her !!
