Anambra State – The Real Truth Part 2 Print E-mail
Written by Chidi Anyaeche

“Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?” - II Kings 20:19.

And Ukpakareports is the truth in my day as long as Anambra state is concerned. In part 1 of this article I presented pictures from Ukpakareports showing the decay in education in Peter Obi’s Anambra state in the year of the Lord 2008 with respect to Girl’s High School, Agulu, Peter Obi’s home town. Hell was let loose by some disgruntled elements. Yet nobody has come out to prove otherwise, not a single soul has debunked the pictures as presented by Ukpakareports, for the pictures are true; period. Rather than an informed debate on why schools in Anambra state are left to rot whilst Peter Obi is educating his kids in London and using funds meant to educate our children, our leaders of tomorrow to build meaningless projects like stadium and Stock exchange Complex to name a few, I was labelled an Andy Uba apologist, Andy Uba was blamed for the plight education in Peter Obi’s Anambra state. Yet there is nowhere in the article that I played into Andy Uba’s hands. Odenigbo is far greater than that. I represent the truth, the hard fact on the ground in Anambra state as at date and I make no apologies whatsoever about it.

In writing articles where hard facts are part of the game, it is elegant and professional to state the source of your facts hence Odenigbo’s reference to Ukpakareports, which I have personally verified to be true. That picture in question is that of Girl’s High School, Agulu as at date. Let any right thinking person educate his or her daughter there. What that has to do with Any Uba, I do not know? Is this not a failure of education system under Peter Obi?

Again below are pictures of Uga Boy’s Secondary School, Uga under Peter Obi’s Anambra state as culled from Ukpakareports, which I give credit for doing a splendid job. Without Ukpakareports, Anambra indigenes in Diaspora will not know that such a zoo of a school exists in Peter Obi’s Anambra state. They will be believing the lies been peddled by Peter Obi’s errand boys as to how good the state is. Thanks to all the good people sending me emails of praise; I will present the facts, as it is, no shaking.

Revisiting the pictures below, in as much as the school is the responsibility of Anambra state government, what stopped Andy Uba and his siblings from adopting the school in their door step and renovating it as gift to the people of Uga. This clearly shows that Andy Uba himself - the Andy that boasts Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote as his close friend is in the same camp as Peter Obi as far ignoring the plight our children is concerned. When Andy was at his peak as President Obasanjo’s man-Friday, a fund raising exercise on behalf of Uga Boy’s Secondary School, Uga will have had ‘who is who’ in Nigeria queuing to out-donate the other but Andy behaved otherwise, indicating that he has no interest at all for the good people of Anambra state.

In part 1 of this article I wrote, I have quoted Proverbs 16:9 above to show that Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe, though working for Andy Uba is been used by the Lord via his website to present the real truth as it is in Anambra state today, for pictures do not lie. Ikenna’s heart is with Andy Uba but the Lord is directing his steps to salvage Anambra state from Peter Obi’s destruction without Ikenna realising it”. From these pictures, one can see that Ikenna though working for Andy is inadvertently destroying him by presenting these pictures, the pictures of Andy’s hometown school, in Ukpakareports.

These pictures, good people show that neither Peter Obi nor Andy Uba has the interest of our children at heart by allowing them to be tutored under these conditions.

These pictures and contents of the website have been verified by Odenigbo to be true and I dare any right thinking person to educate his or her children there.

More on Anambra Budget Saga

In my article on the above subject published at:

http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/chidi-anyaeche/the-anambra-state-budget-saga.html amongst other respected publications, I posited that budgetary irresponsibility and rascality by Peter Obi is the cause of the imbroglio for Peter did not bargain on the intellect and astuteness of Hon Ikenna Mbazulike-Amechi, the Chairman Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation. I stated, “Ikenna is Peter’s nemesis”.

Most right thinking people emailed to thank me for putting them in the know but as is always the case; there will be some reprobates that are incapable of following sound logic. I bet most of these reprobates who know whom they are have not even read the budget document or even followed the elegance of my article. Let me enlighten these reprobates on one or two thorny issues regarding the budget. Are they aware that Peter Obi wanted to borrow Sixteen Billion Naira from perhaps Fidelity Bank to finance the budget. A whopping Sixteen Billion Naira to build yet more stadium at the expense of our children.

Are they also aware that the Anambra state commissioner for health had slated three hundred million naira for hospital modernisation and when asked to name the hospitals, the projects and most importantly how he arrived at the figures could not do so. How then did he arrive at a figure of three hundred million naira?

But alas, Odenigbo as always the case have been proved correct. The Elders Committee as packaged by Peter Obi has reached a compromise figure of Seventy One Billion naira as published by Vanguard newspaper of April 21, 2008. The elders committee never called the legislators names nor marshalled thugs to intimidate them but allowed sound logic to prevail; this is what politics should be all about.

Most of these reprobates attacking my elegant discourse wrote with fictitious names and very ignorantly to say the least. My take is that they wrote for the sake of it due to the frustration of being marooned outside Nigeria, they never followed the logic of my writings.

The last paragraph in this article should read in full:

But I will have to pencil out one itinerant thespian, eking out a miserable living somewhere in US by the name of Rudolf Okonkwo for daring to ask me who paid for my flight ticket to Nigeria. Rudolph for your information I carry a British Airways Executive Members card and a Hilton Hotels Gold Members card due to my patronage of these institutions and have being doing so since 1994".

Once again, here is Rudolf Okonkwo's questions that Chidi Anyaeche is trying to bluff through. So far, the questions still remain unanswered.

Ten Simple Questions for Chidi Anyaeche
Written by Rudolf Ogoo Okonkwo
Sunday, 20 April 2008

I will try to hold off my annoyance, even when it is legitimate.

Because I want Governor Peter Obi to be held accountable for what he does in Anambra State , I will try not to give the impression that I am interested in muffling legitimate attempts to critic his performance. Doing so will be falling into conscienceless net of people like Chidi Anyaeche.

I had wanted to do an Understanding Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe kind of piece on Chidi Anyaeche but that will be too easy. More so, it will amount to giving Chidi too much credit. Chidi Anyaeche isn’t such a complex being that needs to be understood, not that Ikenna was. Neither is he a new phenomenon on the prowl, as epitomized by Ikenna. Just like those before him, Chidi is a single celled amoeba, crawling around, changing shapes, and in perpetual search for a host body to leech on.

I have obviously passed the point where I look at the likes of Chidi Anyaeche and assume that the mind is a bag that we all carry differently. The problem here is that to the untrained eye, the well and the latrine can be misconstrued to be the same thing. But while one produces water, the other produces stench.

I want to try something novel here. We often assume that everyone looks in the mirror before they walk out of their homes. Even for those who do, we assume that the mirror in their room is not one of those crazy mirrors that give out twisted images. I want Chidi to have an opportunity to reflect. Who knows, he may come up with something profound. He may discover to his own surprise that he has truly found the enemy of Anambra State and the enemy is him.

As one of those who have spent considerable amount of time discussing the Anambra palaver, I am confident that for the first time in a long while the state is in good hands. That does not mean that we should switch off the critical eyes. What is troubling is to see disguised forks held by scorned hands masquerading as critical eyes without first disclosing the begging cap those hands once held.

More importantly, for a critical eye to be credible, it must operate with a context. It must not succumb to the lower angel of its past as embedded in previous undisclosed misadventures. As the clique goes, he who must come to equity must come with clean hands.

I will ask Chidi ten simple questions here. They will give him a chance to reflect. If he answers the questions truthfully, he will make some disclosures that will free him to pursue his newly found passion for criticizing Peter Obi. If he tells the truth, he may find himself confessing in some instances. He should not worry, no one will subject him to opipa, penance. He should not be blunt in his answers else he descends into isa asi sa, induced confession.

Here are my questions for Chidi:

Question 1: Do you know Governor Peter Obi personally? If yes, how do you know him and for how long?

Question 2: Did you and your family help elect Peter Obi governor? If so, what were the reasons why you supported him then?

Question 3: Did you try to approach Peter Obi after he became governor? Did he rebuff your approach? What were you seeking from the governor?

Question 4: Do you know Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe personally? If yes, how do you know him and for how long?

Question 5: Have you had any reason in the past to believe that Ikenna is a lair? Do you know an example of where he manufactured stories and was caught lying about them?

Question 6: Have you ever spoken to Okey Ndibe on the phone?

Question 7: Have you ever spoken to Omoleye Sowore?

Question 8: Who sponsored your recent “fact finding” trip to Anambra state? Did you meet with Ikenna during that trip?

Question 9: How long has Anambra State been in ruins? How long has Peter Obi been governor? How long do you think it will take a governor with the kind of budget Anambra state has to touch every facet of the ruins left by the likes of Mbadinuju and Ngige?

Question 10: How do you sleep at night?

The venerable Martin Luther King Jr. said, “I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. That is why right, temporally defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.”

Is Chidi’s truth armed? Is his love conditional? We won’t know until he answers these questions. Not just for himself but for us all for he knows, just like we do, that ora bu iyi. But if he doesn’t, then we know that the fowl that flees from the ground must have farted.

Nothing illuminates sin like hypocrisy. Nothing.

Ikenna Ellis Ezenekwe, the liar for hire who uses the name of his town to hawk lies and lately Mr. Chidi Anyaeche are the compromised consciences singing in a duet the songs of thieves. I have always wondered what would compel a man to sell his conscience and his posterity. But lewd money seems to be the answer. These guys are moral weathervanes, who are ready to embezzle the truth pursuant to their paid charges. But my joy always lies in Ola Rotimi’s observation, to the fact that no matter how long and stout the human neck, on top of it must always sit a head. So these traitors to our renaissance should not be profound in their joys. Their days are numbered. Their memories have been effaced for ever. History will always remember them as scoundrels and incestuous rascals. This lies in the fact that morality can never be in the employ of rogue power. It can never succumb to the mercenary considerations of naked might, without ruining society. This lies in the ontology of ethics. Morality is a construct of nature, flowing from the deepest wells of human nature and social heritage. Its principles run through all climes and cultures. They are basic to our being. They transcend the artificial walls and moats, which “political correctness” and hypocrisy advertises. Its violations repulse our natures in all cultures and epistemic traditions. Though politic and impious neurosis of the powerful have attempted to impose their conceptual schemes on it, what is bad has always remained bad. Though Situational Ethics attempted to relativize it, some other authorities have equally created a counterpoise; warning of this tyranny or imperialism of relativism.

That the evil that men do lives after them seems to be the exclusive province of Shakespearean philosophizing. The evil that men do sometimes, walk with them the entire stretch of their existential road. Ifeanyi Okonkwo is a case in point. If a panel of the learned judges of the Supreme Court of any land could order a man to stand up, and take a bow as the “FACE OF A CROOK”, then this man must an irredeemable crook.

It is only an ******** that can canonize himself an ***** with pomp and pageantry. But Mr. Ifeanyi Okonkwo did just that with all the foolishness, which greed recommends. Mr. Okonkwo dressed and packaged himself a monumental ***** defying anyone to insult him. And the Supreme Court judges not only did, they summarized his character in the process. This man was a foil for Andy Ubah’s character. The company a man keeps tells a lot about his character. Andy Ubah would be an ******** to think that the Supreme Court judges were not speaking to him as well, when they took the reputation of his wayfarer to the cleaners. By canonizing Mazi Okonkwo as a crook, the judges emblazoned his face for eternal remembrance in ignominy, as the personification of all that makes a man a crook. They equally told Ubah that he is not better than the company he keeps.

But in spite of this august denigration, mercenaries like Ezenekwe and Anyaeche are not letting up in singing the songs of rogues and insulting our intelligence hawking inglorious lies. They are as corrupt as Ifeanyi Okonkwo. They are the moral prostitutes of Anambra State. Andy Ubah did not corrupt Ifeanyi Okonkwo or vice versa. No! He just used him like he has been using everybody that comes across him. He used Obasanjo in a way, mutually enriching for both of them, though with the most perverse implication for Nigeria. At the end of that relationship, Ubah and Obasanjo divided a portion of Nigeria’s wealth to their various estates, at the ratio of power that each held. Andy Ubah used Ifeanyi Okonkwo, as Mr. Okonkwo wanted and/succeeded in using him for his own parochial ends too. But Mr. Okonkwo, being a shameless mercenary; a man lacking conscience and good sense; a man who would gladly make himself a dog for the sake of a bone, took his reputation to Golgotha and had it crucified in obeisance to his greed and non-conscience. At that disgrace, we thought that other characters married to avarice would learn their lessons. But they did not, as could be seen in the rise and rise of Ezenekwe and Anyaeche, who are writing themselves into eternal disrepute based on their stances against the truth.
