This is very serious as i know some students of Covenant University, Bells University and the other one owned by the seventhday church and Madonna university.
Those Gorlified secondary schools cannot be passed for a university.
What is wrong with the Fed Govt, cant they see what we all are seeing. A child that went to private school as in primary sch, secondary sch and university like the types we have in Nigeria is missing somthing in life. believe you me they have not passed through an phase of life.
"The source said that many of the RCCG’s faithful in Nigeria and abroad had celebrated the “unlawful act” as a “testimony to the goodness of the lord.” It was said that a Pastor Ghandi of the Jesus House, RCCG in Washington DC where the late first lady Mrs. Stella Obasanjo used to worship whenever she was in the United State, was a facilitator of the deal."
What a bunch of knuckle heads, whose money did they think was being used for "the goodness of the lord"? There goes your tithe oh children of God!!!
To give yourself more 'street cred' why couldn't you visit the campus to see things for yourself instead of relying on too much hearsays. I bet those evils you described 'most likely' exist in that school but you would have given yourself more credibility by visiting the campus to interview students, probably take some photograph etc to butress your ascertions. But when you hide behind pseudo name, Dodo T Dodo, I kinda  and say to myself, this Bobo might be a charlatan out to do a dirty job. Just my take.

My cousin attends that Jesus house in DC and she told me that they donated money and bought a mercedes s-500 and rolex watch for that Pastor Ghandi. I have serious issue with that. As per those their private schools, we will never know what their products would turn out to be until maybe about 10 years from inception.
How does he get access to the university in the first place? How can you take pictures of students practising homosexuality? do you think students on camera will give negative info about their uni even if the writer was given access? ......... I just dey ask
The writer has told us things we already know, anyone that says he doesnt know these things happen in the private Universities is fooling no one
Naturally,i wouldnt excuse Dodo T Dodo in making assertions without making an on-the-spot assesment to the school in question. But let us assume that it is impossible for him/her to do so,it still does not stop him from writing on the convenant issue which is fast becoming a frontburner topic on private university education in Nigeria.
The fact remains that Dodo has made points which are nothing but close to the truth, the real situation obtainable at Covenant university.Apart from having a cousin in the school,i met a ''dateable'' lady who finished with a first class from the school. Our discussions about the school confirms the much talked about happenings in the school.I have also been to the school say on 5 occassions.
I can confirm that the majority of the students are dissatisfied with the Prison rules of the authority.I can also confirm that their academic credentials and performance is often scrutinised to conform with the whims of the proprietors.I can also confirm that a lot of the students might not be the innocent ones which the proprietor wants us to believe they are.I can also confirm that profit motive is prominent on the priorities of the owners as virtually everything in the school is being handled by the proprietors. The students dont have the option of what they want.A case in point is the license to operate in the school given to a major eatry but later withdrawn only for the school to establish her own eatry. You now have something like winners pure water, winners food, winners this winners that....
But in all these who is to blame?
I will definitely be the last to balme the owners.
Rather i will blame the govt that has failed in putting our public universities in proper shape.
After reading this article, I am left with the following conclusions
If this is TRUE,
- We all have a choice and the parents who opt to have their kids undergo a mental 'disfiguration' over 4years must themselves be either insane or stupid. Take them elsewhere.
- Why have the affected parents not petitioned the authorities on thie concerns. Why keep silent?
If this is FALSE?
- Woe to him that cries in the market place where there is no reason to grieve.
Hi all,
Please do not doubt this writer(except you are from a differient planet and have never heard of a place called Nigeria). Although I do not know much about Covenant University, but my younger brother used to be a student of Madonna University(in Elele, River state). But you know what? We had to withdraw him from that school after I paid him a visit one day. Why? What one saw there reminds one of Kilikili and other Nigerian prisons. You do not wish your ward to study at a place like that. I could imagine the trauma this guy had gone through while at that jungle called a school. Do not ask me how much we had spent on him for those almost two years that he was at that school, after all it's a private school; they charge exhobitant prices and for this reason most people(like my family) believe that that makes a school an Oxford University. Now I know better.
And yes, the students are forced to sign one useless contract in which they had to sware never to embark any form of protest! I thought we were operating a civilian government? Or do we have a differient government in Madonna Uni?
And yes, men and women are not allowed to mingle in this university. And what happens? The production of homosexuals and lesbians in the name of graduates! As for those asking for evidence, I am sorry that I cannot produce one.But with my personal visit to that school, and some interviews granted by my brother and his friends studying there...I wonder!
And there I go again. During the period under review(because I don't know if things have just changed recently), I authoritatively heard that it was in the nature of the school management to borrow books and other educational equipment from wherever to equip the library and lab of the school whenever the acredition agency was about to come to study and see if it was to give accreditation to some courses offered by this school. And as soon as the accreditation people(call them what u want) have reached the exit gate of the school, these "borrowed" books and other equipement would be no where to be found.
These are the little I can say here as there are a thousand and one things to be said. But count on me regarding this reliable and verifiable information. I should have taken pictures.
Yes, unless things have just changed recently.
My advice? BEFORE YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD IN ANY SCHOOL, JUST FORGET YOUR BUSY SCHEDULES AND PAY A VISIT TO THIS SCHOOL FIRST. DO NOT DEPEND ON HEARSAY. NOW MY FAMILY AND I KNOW BETTER. Unless things have just rently chnaged.
Interesting article, although I have some reservations about some of the statements made in the write-up. Some of which are :
The “total man” concept promoted by Covenant, whatever that means, is a ruse. Homosexuality by both students of the same sex thrives in Covenant.
Surely the ruse does not apply to all students. You would be surprised at number of students who see benefit in such a system even though you disagree. The second on homosexuality is a bit harsh. Is the percentage of such happenings any higher than incidences found in government owned universities. I think it is a bit unfair to paint every student at Covenant with the same brush because of the actions of a few.
Moreover, the current belief that religious schools, especially of the Christian stock promote sound “morals” is a ruse! Children in these schools could be worse than those in public schools in terms of all the vices associated with youths of that age group.
Another generalization here. I have highlighted the word “could” in the above statement because this tends to imply suggestion, perhaps supposition and most likely opinion.
I would hesitate to brandish a whole school a ruse, where homosexuality thrives and full of dishonourable students because of the actions of, I believe, a few, that’s my opinion. Having said that, I would be weary of sending my wards there without further investigation.
