The moon was a mere quarter full
But the very darkness was incandescent
Our waters devoid of transluscence
But we are captured by the Transparency International
So, we watch them lie again
Disturting the facts on the ground
So that nobody saw the nature of what it concealed
But we all know
Always had known

Our leaders had been like a butterfly
A beautiful poisinous thing
That sucked us in
And drawned us in their inadequacies
Our worst nightmares took on flesh
And smilled wickedely down at us

Political half life
Unattractiveness and poverty
Intellectual dullness
Spiced with checkered due process
Publication of vacancies for employment
When the list of successful candidates has been compiled
Publication of tender for supplies
Two weeks after the supply was made
What a "Due Process"

Now, The nation seemed darker and smaller
Yet, They walked with their heads high
Not bowed
Hands thrust into their pockets
Not covering their faces in shame
Christ, is it that easy?
