Dr. Chima Nwafor Vindicated: Orji Kalu, Mother, and Relatives are Common Criminals
By Carlisle U.O.Umunnah

It is no longer news that Orji Kalu dropped out of Murkurdi University out of criminality; he [Orji Kalu] engaged in illegal practices while in college called: Advanced Fee Fraud; he engaged in oil bunkering via Obasanjo discredited oil-lifting-Licensing to fellow thieves, cronies and concubines. All these took place when there relationship was still smooth and warm. Governor Orji Kalu has continued his old tricks from college to Abia government house regardless of our constitution and its protections and enabling remedies. Today it is public information that Chief Executive, Abia State Government, Governor Orji Kalu has looted and continue to loot Abia treasury for his personal enrichments, starched out more through friends, family-relatives and other collaborators by defrauding Abia people of their petro-dollars.

May we do well by bringing to the attention of all Abians and the world particularly the Great Ngwa-Nation, that their honorable son, Late Dr. Chima Nwafor, former Deputy Governor, Abia State , fought a good fight, accomplished his mission in an effort to protect Abia treasury, and integrity. Dr. Nwafor stood for justice, fairness, equity; equal-opportunity for all Abia sons and daughters while Orji Kalu was deeply-necked, pillaging the State treasury. It is indeed, a fact, that Orji Kalu used Abia State funds, to build himself private Air-Line[s], private companies cross the country and abroad at the expense of Abia population. In other words, he is doing what Obasanjo is doing at the national level: looting with impunity no questions asked. Birds of the same feathers………!

In short, today, the discredited Governor Orji Kalu has spirited the mother, Mrs. Eunice Kalu, out of the country to avoid interrogation and of-course incarceration by EFCC agents for her criminal activities including money-laundry, starching and, diverting government funds into personal businesses inside and outside the country. Thought EFCC a latecomer, made a great move on this thieving mother of Orji Kalu, Mrs. Eunice Kalu. The lady is a crook. In short, Mrs. Eunice Kalu must be made to account for these State funds that she until now controlled without trace, at the behest of his son, Orji Kalu. Curiously, other government officials including some Ngwa-419ners with Kalu partnered and connived with him in these many years of lootings. They must be made to account to the people for the crimes against Abians, and crimes against humanity. Abia State is in tatters and this crook is busy running around the country and the world siphoning these funds away. There is much people can endure at this time; there is much people can take across the whole of oil-producing States— Niger Basin .

EFCC moves came late considering the fact that many of us have forwarded communications on many of these matters, many have communicated complaints to its attention via its offices across the country with respect to Orji Kalu’s mother, her criminality against people of Abia, but EFCC is deaf dumb—these reports are actionable reports/situations but EFCC did nothing all these whilst, while chasing peanuts or chasing dead-man’s remnants, etc.

EFCC was wrong for not acting in a timely fashion. Rather than EFCC doing the right thing without prejudice, it pre-occupied itself with infantilism; vindictively chasing Vice President, Abubakar Atiku because he was against Obasanjo’s third term project. EFCC today remains Obasanjo’s tool, acting on behalf of its master, Olusegun Obasanjo who has fallen-out of faith with his second in command, Atiku; this indeed remains an irresponsible snitch for our records.

Folks, to refresh our minds, EFCC within one week, conducted, concluded a sin-packed-report of VP on PDPF profile; while EFCC looked the other way when reports and evidence of about 6 billion naira: Obasanjo’s fraudulent Library funds and its endowments protocols as engineered by his cronies especially those through Obasanjo’s influence got accredited toward oil-lifting from Niger-Basin. Gani Fawehinumi, Lagos Based Civil Rights activist petitioned EFCC on this matter for almost a year now, nothing has come out of it. This was actionable matter but EFCC inactions, cold feet and pretensions stalled the investigation on this library matters till date. What a double-standard and mix-messages this agency is giving the entire country and its peoples. If EFCC wants to be taken seriously, and, gain the support of the people, to enable her function effectively and efficiently then it needs to buckle up; buckle up and treat all criminals with the same stick of the law—because it is the law.  EFCC cannot continue to act discriminately dishonestly and expect public support.  Now, this writer careless about any international appointments, recognitions, from European Union [EU] or World Bank/IMF to Ribadu, with respect to his experience on fraud war across these institutions and what not. What this writer cares about is taking care of domestic-rights, its constitutionality and its enabling powers vis-à-vis people’s human rights, and others rights within the international human rights instruments, and those surrounding its operations here at home. The good books reaffirms, that charity begins at home it doesn’t begin at the comity of nations and or international recognitions.  Suffice it to say that we do know which is which and will act at the appropriate time even now!

Returning back to Abia State, according to report culled in by Shuaib Shuaib from Abuja, the mother of Governor Kalu, has fled the country at the behest of EFCC’s invitation through Court Order, demanding that she respond to some allegations against her alleging that she engaged in unlawful financial practices in Abia State, involving public funds. In this report it was gathered that Mrs. Eunice Kalu, escaped assassination attempt on her life.  But two days later it was gathered that she had fled the country.

Shuaib reports:

“Leadership reliably gathered last night that, on the first leg of her trip, the governor’s mother took a private plane from Owerri to Lagos from where she fled to Cotonou , Benin Republic. However, her final destination remained unclear at press time. Mrs. Kalu, popularly known as Odiutonamba or Mother of Excellency in Abia State , was to be attacked by more than 10 gunmen. But they were stiffly resisted by the security operatives guarding her residence in Aba . Speaking, Orji Kalu charged Nigerian security operatives to fish out the attackers who, he alleged, were from the presidency………”

Now, if, Orji Kalu feels that her mother was selected by the presidency for attack why would he not contact the best attorneys money can buy in our shores and go to court? Was it not the same, Orji Kalu, who claimed that Obasanjo planned to assassinate him, which allegation he, later recounted; turned around and put the blame on the late Deputy Governor, Dr. Chima Nwaofor? In short, Orji Kalu must know that his time is up; he must in essence start preparations for his arrest, prosecution and jail-term for his pillages against the Abians. EFCC must watch this crook call Orji Kalu, because he will go the way of his mother: fleeing the country at the end of his term when he has no immunity clauses protecting him. Abians and indeed, Aba-Ngwa in particular must do what they know how to do best: rise-up, flush-out criminals and their collaborators today in our land. There is a gathering storm, people have to pay attention! Aba-Ngwa, please, do remember the track record of your queenly women, your great daughters made our dear land proud in 1929. In 1929 they championed a historic cause, moved into actions, moved the nation—that brought about the famous Aba-Women Riots, which fire power meshed together with other freedom forces which, drove colonialism and, its administrators off of our shores. Today, Abians and Ngwa-Nation in particular are experiencing the atrocities of local criminals parading themselves as leaders and even claiming innocence. The likes of Orji Kalu with few of his Ngwa-collaborators must know that their time is over; selling-out our citizens, pillaging with impunity time and again, of our energy and petro-dollars at the expense of our people will not go unchecked. It is time to do the sweep; it is time to cleanse our lands and take it back by the people where it rightfully belongs. There is no better time than now!

Arise all yeah great nations and free yourselves from these criminals today. I call on Abians and Aba-Ngwa in particular to rise up and make the land proud again. Please pull-down Orji Kalu’s mother [Eunice Kalu] looted property for good; take it over for it belongs to the people—you. Ngwa-Nation and its environ must know that Dr. Chima Nwaofor, fight a good fight in defending justice and truth; Dr. Nwaofor was a great fighter until his mysterious death in the hands of enemies of good and egalitarian society. Abians and Aba-Ngwa must not let Dr. Nwaofor’s death/contributions to be in vain. If Orji Kalu feels that his mother is innocent, he should recall her back to the country to stand trial otherwise, fleeing the country is questionably suspicious—defeatism.

Whereas one is deemed innocent until found guilty, we live by law, but if today, Orji Kalu claims innocence of his mother and accusing President Obasanjo as the culprit let him tell us how. Talking from both sides of his month cannot do the magic. Suffice it to say that, in this, face-off, Mrs. Eunice Kalu, who is now a fugitive, and wanted by another fugitive government—Federal Government in Abuja and they are at the crossroads. If Mrs. Kalu and her son claim otherwise then let Mrs. Kalu make a U-turn into the country for fairness and understanding will be meant on her; if Orji Kalu now claims and alleges that the non-supportive relationship of his mother, Mrs. Eunice Kalu, with regards to failed third term project by Obasanjo, is the issue here, let him tell us how; if, this suspect-woman “who planned and helped Obasanjo in 2003 elections, the same woman that Obasanjo calls all the time if there was fallout with him and Orji Kalu,” then what is the point fleeing the country?

Folks, I have few questions for Governor Orji Kalu at this critical time:

I] Orji Kalu: if your mother is innocent of these alleged charges against her including money-laundry of Abia State government public funds, engaged in illegal business practices, etc, all at your behest for personal greed and more—why flee the country?

II] If it is true that your beloved mother, Mrs. Eunice Kalu, is innocent since 2003, and supported President Obasanjo in the rigged elections twice—in 1999 and in 2003, are you and your mother not culpable of the same fraud that you are accusing the administration of Obasanjo? Are my defending Obasanjo administration? Not just drawing logical explanations with time!

III] If your mother, Eunice Kalu is innocent, if what you are telling the public now is true why go public now? Don’t you think this move on your side is opportunistic and deliberate for cover-ups?

IV] If you are saying that they [EFCC] were shooting sporadically and what not, was this the first time EFCC reached out to serve your mother papers from the court of law, if you love your criminal mother so much, why didn’t you counsel her to report to EFCC office on her own or even go with attorneys to visit them?

V] If the gifts you are claiming now that Obasanjo showered at your mother, Mrs. Eunice Kalu, are indeed true, are you just knowing it and seeing these gifts? otherwise, when did you know it and what did you do, why wait till now to tell us or it is because EFCC has finally come after her after many years of looting Abia treasury? You, your mother and your relatives pillaged and continue to pillage Abia treasury with impunity what justification do you have stealing from public funds?

VI] Talking about those who are attempting to kill you, let me ask you a question who killed former Deputy Governor, Abia State : Dr. Chima Nwaofor? What did you know about late Dr. Chima Nwaofor’s death, and when did you know it? Is your hands not filled with innocent blood when it comes to the mysterious death of Dr. Nwaofor and others? Can you claim innocent of this fine man: Dr. Chima Nwaofor? If so how can you claim innocence even with evidence that implicates you and your henchmen? Can you honestly raise your hands and say that you have done your duty in Abia, Aba-Ngwa in particular with all those refuge dumps that littered that great city, you have turned into ghost city, while you infantilize yourself for a run at presidency? Aren’t’ you mocking yourself, our ancestors and Igbo-nation and Nigeria as a whole in these ills and thoughts?

VII] If you are innocent and your mother is innocent how come your father still a trader at Ariaria-Market, Aba, doesn’t want to have any piece of you, do nothing with you due to your filter hands but prefer to continue with his honest living selling fairly used cloths in this city—Aba? How come Commissionership positions and its contenders have to pay $3,000.00 dollars in other to be appointed commissioners? How fraudulent can you be Orji Kalu?

In the finally analysis one thing is clear to this writer: the wicked shall destroy the wicked, period. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, we will get your likes and the likes of Obasanjo at the appropriate time to account for your crimes against humanity. Stop crying wolf because you are one of these wolfs; Dr. Nwaofor’s blood and other innocent bloods killed in Abia, at your behest are crying unto God for vengeance. You will pay regardless of time and space.

We will chase you crooks till thy kingdom come. We will chase you street to street, corner to corner, bloc to bloc until justice is done. If your mother is heading to the United States, sorry! United States is not a hiding place; we will chase her into the hands of CIA and FBI and get her arrested and return her back to the homeland to answer on these illegalities, charges over illegal financial-transactions especially against Abians. From Obasanjo, Babangida, Anenih, Bode George, Dikko, yourself and others like you will have no peace until you publicly and humbly confess, make restitutions for these many years of pillages of our treasuries especially these looting with impunities—you shameless thing[s].  Dr. Chima Nwaofor, was right when he became increasingly suspicious of your mother’s interferences on government and state matters, your criminal activities and those of your cronies, Dr. Nwaofor, counseled you repeatedly that it is not the way to run a State, but you weren’t having known of it anyways. And you did what you did with some of your partners in crime. Can’t you see the handwriting on the wall? You will all pay sooner or later. A day of reckoning is come and none shall escape it—it is called the judgment day on earth and judgment at the turn of or coming millennium or dispensation.

This generation out of relative obscurity must discover its mission, fill it or betray it—we will full-fill our mission—because it is a mission of attrition.

Dr. Chima Nwaofor, was born great, he lived great and died great! His legacy will shine on for posterity and history to absolve him! His credibility, honesty, and integrity have been printed on the sands/sounds of time.  Dr. Chima Nwaofor lives forever!

If we should try to exorcise ourselves of wicked sentiments, the fact remains that by invading the residential home of the mother of an "opposition" governor, in the wee hours of the night with mysterious characters dangling AK 47s at the height of political annihilations in Nigeria, the EFCC , seems to have more explanations to make than the mysterious godmother of Abia politics!
Harry Mrashal,..Bola Ige,..Funso Williams,..O G B,.and the wife of Abubakar Rimi,..they all share things in common:their lives rotated around the murky waters of Nigerian politics, just like Orji Kalus mother..they had late night visitors with guns, then death!!!...All happened within the life span of this administration, in the full glare of a caged democracy!...Can anybody vouch that if Kalu's mother opened that door that night ,with the visitors unknown,.things would have played out any inch different?
We have seen many horrific things happening within the last seven years , that it would have been foolhardy for her to add more to that by acting like the proverbial tree that wont put up a fight as the decision to have it cut down is being debated...
I have never wanted an Orji Kalu or his mother, brothers or his even unheard teenage daughter to evade justice if they are giulty! by the way,why was his wife left out???why not exhume the great grand parents and hand them over to the guys in Abuja???
..They must be purnished but only "IF THEY ARE GIULTY"!..but to see Mr Umunnah, mix up the whole show with a vibrant vindictiveness, common with the infamous"Aba Ngwa"politics only adds another dimension to this diabolical attempt to reign in on a whole family, gestapo style!
Later day Ngwa politics have acquired so much noteriety and infamy that other communities in igbo land should start to take notice. It is not every community in igboland that will visit political terrorism on delegates of ohanaeze comming to their homeland just because they have an axe to grind with their governor. This brand of politics is absolutely alien to igbo political culture and only shares a family resemblance with the mentality that spured an Obasanjo to attack a whole Kalu family!
These days , it is so easy to stiffle out the life of your political opponent with the EFCC noose...I am not going to join those who argeu that Obasanjo is corrupt so why attack kalu?..Two wrongs does not make a right. If Kalu stole, he should be made to face the music. But in reaching the truth, we must observe the factual truths.which are:Orji Kalu didnt enter politics a bankrupt!..He dived into politics as an exteremely successfull business man. While those may not be enough to wash him off corruption, certainly invading the home of a grandmother, with fifty armed men shooting sporadically in the middle of the night is not the best way to proove that!!! Can we have some decency Mr Nuhu Ribadu???

Felix:
You ought to be ashamed of yourself for bringing intra-Igbo politics in this Square. You must be an Aba-brought-up with the hate-Ngwa but can’t leave ala-Ngwa mentality that dominates the thinking and archetypical behavior of the lot. Do you know how many times Ngwa leaders sought the intervention of the so-called Ohaneze on their problems with the roguish governor Orji Uzu Kalu government but only got the back of the hand of Ohaneze, yet they had the temerity to converge on Ngwaland for their macabre dance? Why don’t you go and research the facts before you start washing Igbo dirty linen here in the Big Village Square?

If you are objective and know the long history of Ngwa marginalization within Igbo politics, you obviously would have reached a different conclusion. Overall, my advice to you is to not bring intra-Igbo issues to this Square. Ndi-igbo want their fair share of the so-called national cake as one indivisible entity. Afterwards, we can go home and work through our internal differences in-house, okay?

And isn't this website called "Nigeria village square"? Abeg, make I go look door again..abi, na wrong room I enter so?

Hmmm,I thought i could sustain the quietness..but obviously Nkire's polluted remarks fouls the air here..at one point he talks of the need to stop washing igbo dirty linens in public so that we can get our fair share of the so called national cake,...then at the other point the typical Ngwa violent approach to politics runs riot in him and he is glaringly mad that Ohanaze dared to organise a meeting in Ngwaland!
It never occured to him that such a meeting of the highest igbo organisation at the time maybe necessary in formulating patterns to get igbos to the table where the wicked cake is being shared, neither did Nkire pause to recognise the honour done to his home land by fellow Igbos in bringing the Ohanaze meeting to Aba Ngwa.
He didnt even explain how the beating up of octagenarians will help the Ngwa war against Kalu or how such actions and numerous advertorials in the national dailies to justify them helped to keep our smelly linens from the public glare.
For the records , I have never spent a night at Aba and may never do so , by the way non of that takes away my lust for the doggedness that characterise the city but at the same time i am alarminly shocked by a crude attempt to alienate as a tried by Nkire..If the facts must be laid bare,Aba is not a made by Ngwa product!..Rather it is nothing but a testimony of the collective igbo will.Go to ask Mbakwe..
The point here is that as Ngwas try to make a head way in their attempt to dominate the politics of Abia state, they should resist the attempt to import the "sword and cudgel" politics that have matured in other parts of the country..Cultural realities in igboland brands this type as "political nso ala" that must be resited. It is not working , has never worked and may never work.
It is not yet late to try plan B!
