Odua-Nation Is the Greater Destroyer of Nigeria-state [Part II] PDF Print E-mail
By Carlisle U.O. Umunnah
Odua-Nation Is the Greater Destroyer of Nigeria-state [Part II]

In my first chronicle on the above subject, many observers, commentators and readers triggered a massive response in a way of emails. Phone calls came in expressing their like and dislike of the piece, which is their prerogatives, the rest as they say, is history. But from all socio-econo-political indicators, decision to decision, defeat to defeat, opportunistic-manipulations to opportunistic-manipulations were approve of the above subject which remains true of Odua-Nation in respect to their political maneuvers inside Nigeria-state. Another element is their tribalistic-nature, greed and corruption which shamefully remain a-wide-spread-pandemic across our national-frontiers, today.

Odua-Nation's political intentionality and intelligibility sync of one-Nigerianism is a farce, as contradictions after contradictions manifest itself, present majority of them with theoretical and rhetorical nationalism—while in closed doors, these fellows are members of Odua-Peoples-Congress [OPC], organization whose allegiance is tribal-based. In the other hand, attempt is curiously made to demonize other tribal entities like MEND and MASSOB, etc, that have similar clannish-based tendencies organizationally. In short, these other group-formations came to be due in part, the lack of security, myriad discriminatory-practices, and other injustices visited against them inside Nigerian-plate. Indeed, clannish nature is reflected, in, pseudo-federalism, a pretended nationhood versed with unprogressive inclinations—inept and incompetent leadership, that reflects total backwardness in all spheres of its existence. By application, this ethnically driven regionalism became a regression to statehood and in-short, an obstacle to nation-building. Fellows, in my view, Odua-Nation’s Nigerianism is parochial, practically reflected in its destruction of all state institutions by this administration led by President Obasanjo in the name of free-trade and/or global-free-market-economy—centered on western imperial-capitalism based on liberalization and privatization that is culturally antithetical to our cultural heritage and values.

Current liberalization and privatization is a conjecture of true-reflexes of a fair-trade-market-economy for global peoples, as no nation can rush into privatization and liberalization without people’s centered-infrastructures in place to fall back on if plan A fails, plan B is an option; but Odua-Nation careless of this institutional implication, prefers to comply to World-Bank/IMF conditionalities of Washington as our peoples perish in poverty. Majority of their bloc-economic theory is based on joint-looting-methodologies of national treasuries without hesitations. In short, you are a great-partner and a-friend if you patronize looting. In other words, if your actions mean resisting the destruction and, pillaging of national treasuries you are number one enemy of the state. Okonjo is gone, fellows! Typical example is Andy Uba’s money laundry [under-educated fellow], who became Obasanjo’s Special Adviser. Uba is his in-law, and former special-adviser to Obasanjo was caught in money laundry with Presidential Jet, involving Obasanjo and his cronies while attending United Nations [UN] summit, in New York some months ago. Report from anonymous intelligence shows that the investigation directly tied Obasanjo in the fraud, but Obasanjo used his position to pressure Washington to narrow the investigation to Andy Uba and girlfriend. Uba resigned thereafter and today is the PDP candidature for Anambra State . Additionally, United States intelligence [FBI] caught Obasanjo’s using his proxies, who criminally purchased farm equipment for Obasanjo’s Ottah Farm, worth millions of petro-dollars, petro-dollars stolen from the East, etc. These truths are self-evidence, that Odua-Nation is the greater destroyer of Nigerian-state based on these antecedents. The scheme of “chop I chop” mentality has deepened in the land—some call it Nigerian-mentality.  It is obvious and dastardly disheartening—at the level of shamelessness of these fellows, always thinking everything from the standpoint of cronyism, legalizing illegalities of this magnitude, illegality that is antithetical to true-organizational leadership, good governance, transparency and ethics.

Talking about shamelessness and opportunism of folks, one quickly remember Oyo-state and the opportunistic illegitimate former Governor Akala, who now wants to return as a Deputy Governor, after threatening fire and brim-stone if the authentic Governor Lokoja shows up at the Government House. Curiously, after both Appeal and Supreme Courts ruled in a favor of authentic Governor Lakoja, Akala, in a twist backed by Ibadan thuggish godfather—Adedibu, surprisingly, is tittering and confused about Deputy Governorship. What a disgrace! What manner of man is Akala, what manner of folks are these? In a civilized society, disgraced Akala would beat a retreat, and resigned as soon as the Supreme Court in Ibadan declared his political sycophancy as illegitimate and unconstitutional. Unfortunately, Adedibu and Obasanjo always play to the gallery, showcasing their ever shining hypocrisy, sycophancy, and cowardice as their hallmark. There is no end in sight, as illiteracy and ignorance besieged our societies. Indeed, illiterate man is the victim of political maneuver. Illiteracy has become institutionalized because the nation is led by illiterate mines.

Looking at institutional manipulations, and political-machines facilitated by Aso-Rock, our sources report that it is the same old story: recycling illiterates, criminals, pillagers and plunderers against the wishes of the people since after the civil war—1967-1970. As Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] converges tomorrow in Abuja , there are credible reports that Obasanjo is micro-managing PDP primaries through his henchmen, to cherry-pick younger brother of Shehu Musa Yar’dua who was poisoned in jail by former military regime, led by Abacha or so. Musa Yar’dua is the Governor of Kastina State is being presented as the candidature of PDP, an attempt to cover-up Obasanjo loots including his crimes against humanity—a long walk this eight [8] years of a disastrous  illegitimate administration in power. In short, according to sources, Odili, Duke and others have been pressured out of the presidential primaries in Abuja because some of them looted their state treasuries. We are privileged to say that honorable-men like Ukiwe and Gana and few others insist in contesting for the primaries at PDP platform. I respect these men of honor, men of principle in Ukiwe and pray that God preserve him forever. He is cream of creams left standing in this land today.

To shorten this communication, it is sad that five [5] legislators can come together to impeach a Governor[s], with political turmoil besieging the land, highway being constructed from Lagos to Kano, while Lagos Benin-Ora road remains unattended, with Christmas here, gentlemen this is unacceptable. I appeal to all Easterners from cross the country [whether you are Ijaw, Ibibio, Ogoni, etc] to return to the east for Xmas and stay there until the 2007 elections is over with. If you choose to stay then be prepared to defend your family, children and old peoples—the new-Igbo-doctrine—is your only self-defense. By application, whether you are a student, importer/exporter, small business owners, drivers, traders of all forms pack your stuffs and return to your mother land in the East as we monitor development of this elections if any. Money is not everything!  We don’t want another repeat of pogrom from any quarter of this country. Be warned, if, you decides to stay in station, then, be prepared to defend yourself and your beloved family otherwise use this Xmas to return home for there are far and immediate dangers ahead of us.  Finally in my first chronicle on this subject many asked for solutions and I promised recommending some as much as I can proffer, to get Nigeria out of this deep steep-hole.

Solutions and resolutions are as following:

  • Nigeria must speedily restore this plate to regionalism, or true-federalism, or quasi-federalism to allow government get closer to the population being govern, so that citizens can hold their elected public officials accountable;
  •  Aggression against the people is simply wrong, our aggression should be against these looters, channeled through massive uprising which, seem over-due in this corrupt lawless place. This must be conducted in such a way that represents peoples-revolution. Revolution is way over-due in our frontier—sacrificing 10 million to calm and re-direct the land is not a bad idea—it is a must if we are serious about a comprehensive overhauling of the land otherwise we might as well forget all these empty rhetoric, essays, and other noises communicated electronically and in hardcopy;
  • Immediate and aggressive conveyance of a national conference that sincerely represent the geo-political space of the plate, the current undemocratic electioneering smokescreens will lead us no where;
  •  To this writer, since 1960 of the so-called independence from British, we have saddled the plate with all forms of prepackaged governance of western so-called representative governance which, we have little idea of implementationally, at the executive, legislative and judicial levels; and, even when we do grasp these governance ideologies, illiterates at the corridor of leadership-positions, have fraudulently and, intentionally refused to follow the burden of constitutionality, with its enabling powers to its full-measures, without attributing judicial outcomes on tribal-conjectures to the other. By application we need to formulate and facilitate our own workable-governance nexus, free of western unworkable governance concepts today and leadership and those who govern must be prepared to obey the laws of the land—regardless of how highly placed in the society. For example Obasanjo ignoring court orders the height of it all; In fact Obasanjo, Babangida and others in their category should be concerned with their jailability rather than their uncomfortability of the present political-circumstances as they attempt to cover-up their stolen wealth; they are birds of the same feathers that flocks together; Accountability and responsibility must be key here. Obasanjo cannot account for his Bell University, Otta collapsed farm now booming with petro-dollars, to Transcorps, to unaccounted PTDF and his refusal to account for billions of petro-dollars makes it extremely difficult for EFCC to lunch-itself- into-true- war-on-corruption, period;
  • Respect for the sanctity and sacredness of human life must be the epic-center of a new dispensation centered on equality, fairness and justice before God and man; anything short of the aforementioned or listed resolutions, will lead the nation-state to meet its waterloo that would apparently turn her into aggression and long drawn conflict for 50 to 100 year war between ethnic-groups et al. From all indicators, if we don’t take care, Iraq and Middle-East crisis in Gulf-peninsula will be a child’s play if we refuse to act now. Another option is a peaceful dissolution of this immovable entity called Nigeria . We will not continue to allow folks continue to drill oil-in- our towns, villages and waterways, while we live in object poverty. It is ridiculous and simply unacceptable.

    In conclusion, it is my strong belief that this piece would allow you the chance think again if you think you can get away with murder forever. Perhaps, it will motivate some observers to intelligent discussions and decisions at varying individual and collective socio-econ-political quarters at this time for additional actionable resolutions. Good luck! I wish you have a wonderful and productive Merry-Xmas, Happy Holidays and Happy Year 2007 in advance as you consider these things. It is my view that we show outrage and a sense of urgency, as we are racing against time. In physics, some scientists remarked that energy lost can never be regained, but we can make the best of the immediate. Let’s make the best of this opportunity presented us [2007], an opportunity to get it right today or this plate is doomed for disaster; we will either survive together or perish together. Worse still, posterity will not forgive us if we fail today.

    This is the conclusion of the chronicles on Odua-Nation…………

He is so preoccupied with big, fat, long words, both existent ones and ones that he has created himself, that he cannot waste time in correcting the simple errors.

Don't worry, me as an Odua person, I'm too stupid to understand your intelligent essay. After a quick perusal, I won't even bother reading it. I'm too busy destroying the Nigerian Nation- nonsense and ingredients

The "I-dey-here" tittle of this article says it all - another hogwash from another author with complex issues. He is hardly noticed; his opinion hardly counts. Yet he tries to feel among and sound intelligent, stringing a bunch of incoherent 'big' words that even he does not understand together - making an absolute fool of himself in the process.

I have said this before and I will say it again; any man or woman who lumps-up any group of people anywhere in negative stereotyping is a bumbling fool - a retard. Welcome Carlisle "U.O" Umunnah, the fellow who has a habit of presenting seperatist, insulting articles for publishing on the NVS. The fellow whose picture I painted with the words above.

I am yet to read ONE intelligent article from him as he keeps regurgitating the same old stinking ideas or outlook in his 'essays'. People like Umunnah do more damage to the Ndigbo than fight for their (Igbo's) cause. They are the worst you can find in any ethnic group in Nigeria - be ye Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo or Ijaw. Specifically, Umunnah is the worst of the whole lot; not only is he just a hate-monger, he is a hate-monger who can hardly express himself intelligently. I call that "double jeopardy"..and Fela would call that "Double Wahala for Deadi Bodiii and the owner of Deadi Bodiii!"

I say, a bloody shame on this attention seeker! Hit the road, jerk!

Auspicious.

It is just that collective guilt has historically been the way things work in that space. Recall the 66 coup which was termed Igbo coup and the Civil War which was severally described as Ibo war and the decision by the Ironsi-led Military Council to Unitarianise Nigeria which were all maliciously labelled Igbo. I believe that all these led Umunna to mistakenly lump the destructive Obasanjocracy and Obasanjonmics with its political brother, Obasanjolitics, as Odua-inspired.
I have read much worse articles penned by Odua descendants criticising Baba's reign but without the collective guilt for that being credited to the Odua descendants. So I do not think that the Odua children should take umbrage at Umunna but as our elders say, just throw away his words sans the man. :D :D :D :D

Hi, Mazi Carlisle U.O. Umunnah!

I beg, make you no vex, (you hear?). Make I take style, axe you small queshon , sef:

Are you really sure that, in your first chronicle to the citizens of our dearly beloved Village of origin on the above subject matter, many imaginary observers, commentators and readers actually triggered a massive response via e-mails and phone calls, expressing their adoration and abhorrence of the piece, which are their prerogatives, so much so that the rest, as they say, is olden days?

But from all politico-historico-socio-econo-statistical indicators, decision to resolution, defeat to downfall, opportunistic-manipulations to opportunistic-manipulations were approve of the above subject which remains true of your psychodynamic acceleration of panoramic anthracites in respect of their geopolitical maneuvers inside your skull. Quite frankly, another element is your ethno-tribalistic disposition, voracity and fraudulence, which shamefully linger a wide-spread pandemic across Nigeria’s national-frontiers, today.

Anyway, sha, my small buroda, make I talk true: Although I no even understand de ‘tory wey you been wan start to blow for here, but sha, me, I just like de way wey you take no even bother to consider small pipul like us wey no know how to blow your kind special English.

Na wa for Ouagadougu, capital of Burkina Faso, wey dey near Furkina Baso. Na wa for Second Republic Senate President, Senator Emeritus Joe Wayas. Na wa for Wafi City. Na real wa for Wawa ethnic nationality. Na waya for you, biko, my buroda. In fact, you dey kampe too mush!

Your political intentionality and intelligibile synchronization of zero-Nigerianism is a complete charade, as incongruity after ambiguity manifest itself, majority of them with theoretical and rhetorical nationalism, while behind closed doors, you are a member of your village elders’ forum, and similar provincial parochial organizations whose allegiance is severely ethnocentrically biased.

By the other hand, attempt is curiously made to glorify your tribalo-para-military neo-armed robbery gangs like MASSOB, Bakassi Boys, etc, that have analogous clannish-based tendencies organizationally. In short, OPC came to be, due in part, to the lack of security, myriad discriminatory traditions, and other injustices visited against them inside the Nigerian plate of amala and efo riro + ewedu soup + panla + pomo + shaki, expertly cooked by specially imported Agoyin chefs.

Indeed, clannish characteristics are reflected in pseudo-federalism, imitation nationhood versed with unprogressive proclivities, including clumsy and hopeless leadership that reflects total backwardness in all spheres of its reality. By application, this ethnically driven regionalism became a regression to statehood and, in short, an impediment to nation-building, as you are very well aware.

My good friend, Mazi Carlisle U.O. Umunnah, in my very unusually HUMBLE view, your noxious and loquacious anti-Nigerianism is narrow-minded, practically reflected in your annihilation of all Nigerian institutions, instead of focused fragmentation of the visionless administration of His Imperial Majesty, Baba Gbenga, Balogun General Olorunsegun Matiyu Aremu Okikiolakan Obasanjo (The Great), all in the name of free-trade and/or globalized free market economy, centered on western imperialistic capitalism, tenuously predicated on deregulation, liberalization, and privatization, that are all antithetical to our cultural heritage and values as a united, peaceful, and progressive democratic country.

My buroda, I no sure say you sure say you understand me, sha. I sure say you no EVEN know wetin I done tell you, at all, at all, ra-ra.

However, if you really serious sey you hear my small grammar, then make you start to dey go to 108th floor, for the office of the Special Senior Assistant to the Senior Special Adviser on Ethnic Intolerance and Racial Extremism, and apologise well-well, in readiness for the constitutionally obligatory provisional buffer period of de-briefing, prior to full substantiation and re-guarantee modus operandi, for subsequent non-retrospective amalgamated re-deliberation for pardon by respected Villagers.

Please feel free to contact me if indeed you seriously have any levelheaded yearning for further illumination, clarification, and direction. Thank you very much, my good friend, Mazi Carlisle Umunnah.

Muchas gracias.

I think he just woke up, got angry that an igbo vp was not chosen, then decided to start belching out his venom. Bikko, i bleed for you too, haba but dont write the way you talk.
There are over 334 (Not Exactly sure)ethnic groups in naija. how could anyone please evry single one of them. I,m sure there will be a case (100%) for an igbo president come the end of yardua/googluck or buhari//whoever.

On a lighter note, we are not the cause of the problems believe me. We are not exactly a monolithic community. Have a TYLENOL with a Bud Light. by the time you wake up, everything will remain the same.

I just finished watching my 50th (or so) igbo produced nijja movie and the same thing hit me like when I watched the others, there seems to be a concerted effort to ONLY use igbo-only actors and actresses all the time, why is that? Na only igbo people sabi act movie for nijja?

On the other hand all other non-igbo produced movies seem to have a fair mix of tribes...

I am fed up with all dat chief Dr Mrs ndigbo Udenwa lines, from watching these movies one will think Nijja na single tribe, all my oyinbo friends have started associating nijja names with what they see on this movies and drawing blank.

I have many igbo friends but I have always said the igbos are the Jews of nijja, the pakis of the east and one of the main purveyors of caste system in that nation.

What are you people fighting for, one nijja or one ndigbo?
