Today Nigerians live in fear of what will provoke our Muslim
brothers in the north to declare another national day of slaughter; they have
now tied all political, socio-economic, cultural, ethnic and tribal activities
to Islam. If a state does not get its adequate budgetary allocation from
the Federal government or an article is written about Islam in Timbuktu or
Japan or the south is declared more populated than the north is enough reason
to trigger the anger of our Islamic northerners and enough reason to burn down
churches, slaughter Christian men, women and even little children. The tragedy is that not much is done by the "good Muslim" and northern Muslim leadership to hinder, investigate, educate the perpetrators, and assist law enforcement agents investigating these atrocities. On many occasions, Northern Muslim terrorists blackmailed
the federal government, citing Islam as a bargaining tool. Frequently, Muslims
continue to unleash violence and destruction whenever issues of sharia,
blasphemy, news articles concerning Islam in faraway lands, political
appointments and loss of revenue, to mention a few, crop up.
The attempt by many northern states to impose Sharia on the entire population of many Nigerian states led to the 2000 crises where thousands died, many of them Christians. More than 200 people were killed in religious clashes in Kaduna over the Miss World beauty contest in 2002; it is fair to say that majority were Christian, we all know the perpetrators. Recently, cartoons published in faraway Denmark also triggered our Muslim brothers to unleash violence, again on Christians. Given the level of education of our Northern Islamic brothers, including the leadership of the region, the majority have no erudite perception of what caused the Danish riots or some of the international issues that have ticked-off these miscreants to declare jihad on innocent Christians. The fact that the Palestinians, Syrians and Iranians are burning American and Israeli flag on CNN is an international signal to carry out pogrom on Christians in Northern Nigeria. When Wale Soyinka said some Nigerian states were no longer part of Nigeria constitutionally he was not mincing words, to prove that, a Taliban-type state called Kano, that used to be in Nigeria but still gets its budgetary allocations from the nation declared its own illegal police force / army called hisbah, an organisation alleged to have connections with foreign Islamic rogue states and fundamentalist terrorist organisations. States like Kano and Zamfara even dare the federal government to challenge their illegal decisions and risk random killings of Christians as payback. Muslim fundamentalist hold the entire nation hostage and they continue to do so before and under OBJ's watch, we are dealing here with millions of destitute, almajiris and beggars that make up the worst culture shock on the streets of many northern states, brainwashed and hoodwinked by the Muslim leadership, illiterate miscreants who believe Mohammed will make available 1000 virgins if they die in their blood thirsty quest to forcefully convert non-believers and massacre them if they refuse to live under Islamic law. Islam is supposed to be "a religion of peace", yet 2/3 of the ongoing wars on the planet involve Muslims. Any chance to amicably resolve conflicts they resort to violence instead. Islam can preach that Christ is not the son of God but rather a messenger, blaspheming Christianity in the process, yet no Christian jihadists kill Muslim people or incite terrorism. The so called good Muslims feeds us erroneous balderdash that the "religion is one of peace" yet make no attempt to seriously bear down on the miscreants within their fold and help law enforcement agencies with their investigations. I guess the bad Muslim must be protected at any cost by the "good ones". I wonder why many in the civilized world now believe after the fall of communism Islam is humanity's biggest threat to democracy and civilization. As if the name of Nigeria has not been dragged through the mud in the international arena enough, we now have to watch our backwards 13th century Muslim brothers on CNN deliberating the killing of women sentenced to death for having sex in the 21st century. OBJ sent troops to level Odi and Zaki biam but did he send any to Kano and Sokoto where more people, mainly Christians have been killed since independence? Has he declared a state of emergency in a many of these Taliban style caliphates? If Obasanjo had sent troops to the north of Nigeria given the number of times these brainwashed hooligans struck then it would make the 2 times troops were sent to ODI and Zaki Biam look like child play. The assertion that Obasanjo is guilty of ineptitude and double standards has made us more aware of his pacification of the Muslim north by not reacting appropriately when the people declare their frequent blood-thirsty spates of violence. If Obasanjo declared OPC an illegal organisation then it is only proper that he should declare demagogues like Datti Ahmed and Sani Yerima threats to national security, he should declare Islamic fundamentalism in Nigeria under the cover of many northern organisations illegal and deal with them appropriately, he should deal with the northern Muslim leadership who continue to supervise the massacre of innocent Christians. What OBJ should do is address these human right abuses and prevent future bloodbaths, for regardless of the number of armed robberies, assassination, political killings, militia attacks and kidnappings in the south, the Muslims in the north of Nigeria still take the Oscar for massive killings in the Republic of Nigeria.
