The agnostic should know that power will change hands in 2007.

2007 is a significant year in the history of the evolution of Nigeria as a nation.  The phenomenon of numerology in chronology is a mystery of divinity in the making of nations from the earliest to our contemporary times. Sumerians. Egypt. Babylonia. Persians. Greek. Romans. Holy Roman-German Empire. Ottoman Empire. Chinese. Japanese. Portuguese. Spanish. British. French. USSR. America.  Asian Tigers.

In Biblical times, numbers, certain numbers particularly intervened in the order or sequence of events of nations and humanity.  The Numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 13, 25, 30, 50, 70 etc have mystically intervened and changed the course of history and destiny of nations.

Intervention of numbers is evident at creation.  God made creatures male and female for procreation.  He divided seasons, and time into day and night.  He created man, male and female on Day 6. Hence Number 6 became the Number of Man.  The mark of the antichrist is the Number of Man, 666 denoting the climax of human self-defiance and government against his creator.

On Day 7, God rested.  Number 7 has since come to symbolize perfection.  The intervention of numbers was evident in the lives of the patriarchs, formation of the State of Israel, Israel’s encounters with Gentile nations with particular reference to Daniel, the coming of the Messiah, the birth of the Church up to apocalypse received on the Isle of Patmos by Apostle John.

Nigeria is destined to enter into its golden age in the year commencing from 2007.  The nation has completed her circle in the order of divinity intervention in the affairs of man through numbers.  The nation is completing its term in the era of the Number of Man.  The history of political leadership and governance in Nigeria has 7 Eras divided along certain epoch-making events that echoed in eternity as follows:

Pre-amalgamation Nigeria

Oyo Empire. Benin Kingdom. Nupe Kingdom. Igbo nations. Efik. Ijaw. Bornu. Sokoto Caliphate.  Many ethnic groups that were too numerous to mention here.  They occupied spaces stretching modern day Nigeria and its neighbourhood Benin, Togo, Niger and Cameroon.  They attained high civilization. They were advanced in governance, art, agriculture, healthcare and black science.   They withered away when they succumbed to the inglorious trade in human cargoes.

Amalgamation Nigeria

The British came.  Lord Lugard personified the forces of welding the nation together.  There were no consensus.  The Northern and Southern protectorates were brought together in 1914 to form a nation called Nigeria that will midwife the dawn of a new day in Africa. Many did not see the purpose, but the different ethnic groups could not resist the process. There was an unseen hand pulling them together.

Independence Nigeria

World War I and World War II.  Nationalists retuned to fight for self-government.  Great men and women were bold to ask the British colonists to leave the space of governance for Nigerians.  The structure was laid, though weak.  1960 marked the beginning of another era in the evolution of the history of Nigeria.

Civil War Nigeria

Military mis-adventure in government.  Discrimination. Ethnicity. Nepotism. Inequalities.  Then came civil war.  The war was fought.  Needlessly, millions were sacrificed to appease the inordinate ambition of a clique of military rulers who disagreed amongst themselves.  The war was ended. There was relief in the land.  1970.

June 12 Nigeria

NADECO personified June 12 1993 struggle for the actualization of democracy in Nigeria.  The journey was tortuous and long.  Lives were lost, blood was shed, and many were hounded into exile.  Anti-democratic forces collaborated with the administration of General I B Babangida and nullified the first acclaimed free and fair election victory of Chief M K O Abiola.

Millennium Democracy Nigeria

The Grip Reaper swept through Aso Rock Villa earlier when the military dictator kissed the apple of death and Chief M K O Abiola drank from the cup of his sufferings and sacrifice as a lamb laying foundation for the birth of the dawn of a millennium democracy in 1999.  Chief Abiola paid with his sweat, blood and life.  He became the vanguard that herald the epiphany of an era that began in 1999.

Golden Age Nigeria

The successful transition in 2007 will enthrone a political leadership that will rebuild Nigeria and usher in a reign of peace, security, economic prosperity and advancement.

Nations have arisen and fallen because of their ability or inability to discern their time on the scheme of divinity chronology.

The third term bid is the crossroad of Nigeria’s transition to 2007 Golden Era and likened to the Chinese symbol for the word ‘conflict’ which is comprised of the character of danger and opportunity, illustrating its dual potential to hurt governance relationship between our political leadership and the electorate or, if handled bravely, to deepen it.

The present administration that commenced in 2003 will terminate in 2007 and its leadership should hand over to new sets of political leaders from ward level to the Presidency. This effective transition of political leadership of the present administration will usher in two consecutive 7 years of economic transformation, revival of our infrastructure, social reform and technological advancement never witnessed in the history of mankind.

The refusal of the present political leadership to change government in 2007 will create a dysfunctional upheaval in Nigeria.  It will set Nigeria back for two consecutive 7 years.  There will be an unsuccessful mutiny from the military.  But there will be a civil unrest never witnessed since the time of French Revolution will sweep across Nigeria.   The alternatives are not desirable.  The Grim Reaper may interrupt for harvest again. The nation may not recover from the consequences of the decision to extend this present administration beyond the Number of Man.

This prophecy is not a product of a hallucinated or an idle mind.  It is born in solitude but will be fulfilled under the sun.

A political leader who is a builder will arise to build the nation in 2007.  The leadership of the present administration is not the builder.  He is a welder who has been charged by Providence with the responsibility of holding together Nigeria in spite of all the forces that threaten to destroy her.  This task will expire in 2007.  After 2007, unity will be taken for granted because it would have been achieved.  Development, progress, empowerment of the electorates and advancement would become the indicators to usher in the Golden Era.

Nigeria political leadership should be wise now and discern the times.

There's nothing wrong with a religious mindset as such, with its baggage of suppositions. But it becomes a BIG problem when it is not complemented with cutting edge scientific-mindedness (or common sense) which is required to compete in today's world. All the pastors, imams and people like the fellow who wrote the article above have not led Nigeria to produce a tv set from scratch so it's all a whole load of crap to me. It's even more annoying when you consider how readily our people display their knowledge of God and spiritual stuff, and yet when it comes to competing with other countries around the world in very simple things like agriculture, they fail very very miserably. Wasn't it Jesus himself who said "you shall know them by their fruits"? What are the fruits of Nigeria, and its pastors and imams? We all know the answer.

@concerned,

The Pastors and Imams bear fruit. I can't say the same for your leaders in Government. Your angst should be towards them. They do not know religion, otherwise they'd fear God and serve their people well.

Their religiosity is an outward show, it's not from the heart, so they cannot tap into their God given potentials. America was founded on strong Christian values. The great Harvard Univeristy was founded by a Pastor, most Universities in America were Christian schools. The founding fathers of this country took God seriously and He prospered them. Their children forgot God, became proud, wicked, took credit for what God helped them to accomplish, so God is slowly removing his hands from this country. That's why they have to resort to evil tactics like Iraq, and all other atrocities accros the globe because they've lost God's favor. But they'll account to God for all the evil deeds commited in their quest to satisfy their insatiable greed.

So, concerned, your country has nothing to show because your leaders / people are too carnal and are yet to tap into it their God given potentials. They have to enthrone equity, justice and fairplay into the polity; stop their witchcraft, wickedness, nepotism, favoritism, child-abuse, class-system, promiscuity, so they can clearly discern, otherwise it's all noise.

Noyellum,

if you think development is predicated on Christianity - how would you explain the fact that Japan, India, China and south Korea are doing well? Let me remind also you that most of Europe today is anything but religious and yet they are doing better than Africa. It's not just the leaders - it's about the manner in which the entire society is socioculturally structured. In our society, the people haven't been able to negotiate rights and opportunities for themselves, and continue to be oppressed by a small-numbered but powerful group of people. Ours is a society consisting solely of two sociopolitical groups: the very strong, and the very weak. No matter how Nigeria is structured, or restructured, this balance has to change.

In any case, the bravest self-justificatory argument that islam and christianity have attempted to make is the idea of their societal civilising mission - and you immediately allude to this point in your claim that america was founded on christian, rather than ethnocultural values. But wasn't it these same christians who ran the slave trade, and put indians in reservations after seizing their lands?

The pastors in Nigeria are preaching a very wrong message - a message of human helplessness, not only before God but before Life itself. The message emphasises MENTAL/PSYCHIC Dependence, ostensibly on God, but also on his alleged PROXY, who therefore becomes imbued with larger-than-life qualities. How undemocratic! This slavish approach spills over into our interaction with the rest of the world. Let me state that the rest of the world DOES NOT EXIST for Nigerian pastors, and so there's no PHILOSOPHY OF ENGAGEMENT, and where there's no philosophy of engagement, how can there be any progress? The pastor and imams are JUST as economically scheming/ambitious as the politicians.

People should be able to analyse the idea of redemption without a dogmatic approach - if we did that I'm sure most people would arrive at approximate answers.

Islam is of course another enslaving set of ideas, and I'll tackle that another day.

Religion or personal sentiments should not be weaved into this prophecy. Its guiding light is spirituality that transcends religion as we practise it in Nigeria today. The foundation of any nation is spirituality; great nations Judeo-Christianity. History provides us the opportunity to verify the fact that nations are built on spirituality, and great nations on Judeo-Christian faith. It is another thing if these nations deviate from their very foundation. History also teaches us that they suffer severe consequences from deviation. Where is Britain, the Mother of the Seven Seas today? America saved her from Hitler during the WWII. We will have another forum to talk about this.

And, who says that the founding fathers of the American nation did not acknowledge God and spirituality? Among other facts on ground, maybe we should listen to Noyellum's commentary again:

"Their (our Nigerian leaders as well as the unscrupulous and pretentious religious leaders we have in our land today) religiosity is an outward show, it's not from the heart, so they cannot tap into their God given potentials. But they'll account to God for all the evil deeds commited in their quest to satisfy their insatiable greed." (Insertion mine)

We have less than 16 months to confirm the authenticity of this prophecy! Nigeria will enter its golden era in 2007. If the leadership of the present administration wants to obstruct this divine epiphany, the Unseen will intervene in the affairs of the seen. Nigeria will witness electorate empowerment, real development, change in values, ethics, culture, growth and dvancement in arts, science, religion, sports, Black consciousness, economy et al when the builder-leader assumes office as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2007. We should take pain to read the prophecy again. This builder-leader is a Nigerian; not a phantom or a celestial being but certainly not President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Thanks Concerned! We've got work to do and we have got to put our hands to the stone...not sit back and theorize on religious underpinings.

So can we cut this crap and get serious. Nigeria needs people who are ready to make hard sacrifices by putting their best foot forward - not soothsayers and benchwarmers. If we all warm our armchairs predicting and theorizing, then we are no better than cowards who die many times before their death and like our secretarial administrator-turned-manager-turned-social commentator, and now prophet of the 'most high', its time to engage and not theorize.

Dear comrades, meet me midway. Go and register into a political party, develop a manifesto and ideology, come up with a blue print (or is it business plan) on how we can turn this nation around in another 4years (no second term please!) and LETS DO IT! OBJ can afford to fool us around with his sinister 3rd term agenda cos everyones' hiding and afraid to take the challenge. If succeeds in pushing the 3rd term agenda through, its all our fault cos we put no challengers forward. Remember in the city of the blind..a 'one-eyed' man is fit to become king yet who knows if hes one-eyed since everyone else is blind?

For once, I want to propose to our villagers... its time to start looking inward for a credible contestant to run this country.. lets start shopping. I will be proposing a few names in a couple of days. And dont criticize me when i do cos its a democracy. We need someone humble, level headed and straight thinking. Meet you at the square in a few days.
